When the World Will Waste

Sometimes I feel as if the world will end tomorrow.
I feel the soil will rattle as the oceans awaken in a parasitic rage of humanity.
I feel the doom of our existence dancing in a graceful fragility on the tip of our tongues.
I feel the tender denial of death will wrap its cold limbs around us and inhale the sin of our souls.
The fire and the water will no longer engage in an endless battle of elemental pride.
The trees and the dirt will rip off the path we forget to worship; a farewell of forged purification.
The horrors of humanity will rise in a price no virtue can bind to pay.
The sacrificial redundance of good, a waste to the bloodsuckers of skin.
The goosebumps fight my heartbeat’s resistance to live.
My screams fight the water’s thirst to consume my gurgles.
The flail of my arms fight the world’s desire to strip my soul away.
As the salt swallows me whole,
As the cold drowns me in its void,
As my soul sacrifices to the rage,
I will call your name.<

Count Olaf Von Farlow was a few quarts low

He followed the scent, he followed his nose

Gonna do a fly-by, wide-eyed, don't you know

Gotta do a fly-by low, to detect the flow

Now, Count Olaf's down, and he's blood bank bound

Incisors sharpened, with moldy, molded crown

That's "Olaf Von Farlow"...never hyphened

The Teller there, unaware...got siphoned

Is it rude to tell a bald man
              a hair-raising story
              - "Your speaking ability and his hearing
are not related to his lack of hair growth" -

Sorry for the raspy sound -
even bugs have the right to be heard and seen
The mosquito burrows greedily into the shiny skull
at the expense of his unhappiness
              The spirit of Bloody Mary
drive the victim crazy with intense itching

Mosquitoes drinking your blood until they burst
Just how bloody is; Bloody Mary ?
              (the ultimate cure for hangovers)
Protect your bald head from bright sunlight
                                          ... and bloodsuckers

Premium Member View From The Cup

I drank my coffee
Then jumped in the cup
To see the cool views
From inside, looking up

I imagined rowed teeth
Flanking a tongue
Pink and juicy like
Gooey bubblegum

And fronted by lips
Both lined and puckered
Smacking themselves
Like plump bloodsuckers

But fortunately
That was all made up
Except for the part
Where I jumped in the cup

The cup didn’t grow
Instead I turned teeny
The size of a tack
Like a lamped genie

I did see bright sky
Without a rainbow
That was suddenly
Dimmed by a shadow

But there was real fear
When I was picked up
For someone was going
To fill up the cup

I wanted to scream
But hadn’t a voice
So small in that cup
Of black Taster’s Choice

How could I survive
In a caffeine sea
I was to drown from
Curiosity

But then remembered
Though remained unseen
We had no more coffee
In cans nor as beans

I rejoiced with glee
But then in a blink
Was poured down a drain
And looked up from the sink

Which may seem hopeless
But it was part two
Of the next task that
I was going to do

Premium Member Infestation of Critters

Nearly thirty inches below normal of rain this year
It's caused an infestation of critters who lurk near
Droning on and on, annoyingly buzzing in my ear
Waiting for the chance to stick me with their spear

With needle sharp weapons, like the point of a pen
Round and round my head they fly, again and again
I need hands to swat at them... the size of Big Ben
or maybe freeze them with liquid nitrogen or cryogen

Oh, bad mosquitoes! What a big proboscis they possess
Despite their intent, they've failed to cause me stress
Such wicked bites will never leave me a bloody mess
When they've fallen at my feet, I'll just say, "God bless."

I don't live in fear of them because it's all a charade,
the army of bloodsuckers, who seem to be on a crusade
to defy peace in every home, they've chosen to invade
So, it's time to zap the pesky insects with a can of Raid

Bugs In Heaven

BUGS IN HEAVEN?
Will there be butterflies in heaven
I should like to see them there
With all their gorgeous colors
As they float softly through the air

And the bees have lost their stingers
For they don't need them anymore
For they pollinate the flowers
Just as they did before

The mosquitoes I don't see their use
Such bloodsuckers they were here
But if they have a use in heaven
I would even like them there

I saw an image lately
Many beetles in bright hues
So if our God can use them
Who am I to now refuse

Yes there may be bugs in heaven
But I cannot know for sure
For we did cause the problem
That made them such pests here

So if God can stand us humans
Who caused Him so much pain
Perhaps the bugs will make it
As we overcome our shame

The Omen

Harken ghouls and boos, the diabolical
wants you solely this festive Halloween eve
as we yield cautionary words not to stray
~~or face abduction,

by visiting vampires feasting on your blood
or an alien journey to their planet
as trickery confuse then they paralyzed
~~you with their stun gun.

Grim bloodsuckers and unearthly invaders
creates a bone-chilling sensation that haunts
until its time that all present removes their
~~disguising costumes.

Listen up to this cautionary tale
of a Halloween alien abduction.
Veiled by masks, space vampires use seduction
and trickery to suck the life from frail
humans, orchestrating every detail
of this diabolical production.

They join the trick-or-treaters late at night,
feasting on the naïve, who think them, friends.
Once detected, it's too late for amends,
you'll vanish entirely out of sight.
Terrorized children, paralyzed with fright,
will wake up praying that their nightmare ends.

If you ever see such bloodsuckers, hide,
before they try to take you for a ride.

Premium Member Miracle Workers

In the dank, dreary domain of leeches
bloodsuckers swim willy-nilly,
hither and thither in the murk.
Aquatic bloodhounds
sniffing the water, they zero in on lunch,
a warm barefoot or a leg will do just fine.
Like vampire bats,
they numb their bite, so it's painless.
Both the stuff of nightmares
and a prayer come true,
you mustn't judge them harshly; they're most beneficial.
Why else would nature
create such a parasitic creature?
No one relishes the task
when I ask for volunteers to catch wild leeches;
they all have feet of lead as I lead them to the pond.
My colleagues refer to them as squirming syringes.
And yet, these lowly critters are miracle workers
once you get past their slimy feel and swamp smell.
It takes but a second
for their minute teeth to cut into bruised flesh
helping to restore blood circulation.

Africa Arise

Africa, Land of my noble birth,
Now is the time to break free from your adversary’s girth.
The time has come for you to take your place,
And your challenges you must face.
My dear Africa, this is the time to arise from your anguish and death.

Africa, land So blessed and resources abound,
The dreams of our fathers, we must keep alive.
Even though vampires and bloodsuckers abound,
Our future, the youths, we must not deprive.

Africa, land of noble warriors,
Take your swords and shield,
And break free from the den of your captors.
The grass is greener, take charge of your field,
To our captors; we must not yield.

Poem For My 33rd Birthday

"POEM FOR MY 33RD BIRTHDAY"

running on razor blades
with these cigarettes
this beer and isolation
this goatee gone
this mustache thick and
these eyes inside these frames.
back inside this city
wiping the tears from her eyes
she's missed me.
tomorrow at this time
those who haven't been under the
bloodsuckers of filing will rise
breathe
laugh and cry.
tomorrow at this time
the whores will be on overtime.
it's nothing new.
tomorrow
I'll turn and look up at my ceiling
without the very souls that murdered
my fear of death.
men get arrested
dogs get put down and
tonight
my enemies leave roses where
I'll be placed to die.

83 Breaths

“83 BREATHS”

everyone’s hell is a
different temperature.
the ride into it
never breaks down.
12 to 12 hell remains.
hell stays like leaches
sucking what’s left of
your life.
hell is in every direction,
every face, and every move.
the words pull from the
fire and lay upon straw.
before I disappear into
my sleep, I stop, look,
I listen.
I can hear the tears of
the frogs fall from their
faces.
if our planet is the only
one with our type of life,
how lucky are the others
that no pain exists.
I can wrap this up now,
reading as I write.
no one can hear me.
birds drop, dandelions
born bald and there are
no more bandages for
scraped knees.
families break, children cry,
bloodsuckers raise the heat
in the kitchen.
as we climb into the oven,
prepare for the next stop.
Sylvia Plath waits.

I Will Obey

“I WILL OBEY”

stack the legos
make the towers
bury the money
build the server
send the message
the dandelion’s on fire.

tonight,
the code goes out
the message is clear
the message is coded
the megaphones were charged.

walk the blueprint of my home
listen to the frying pan cry
the due date on the digital
service bill is late but they
gave the world an extra day.

his voice follows
her voice carries

the world’s bloodsuckers
require new poison
the moon asks for the sun
the sun asks for an eviction
step after step
the coded messages reiterate.

time laughs as we forget
to breathe
resistance is pointless
and yet,
resistance is doubled.

tonight,
my ears have no conscience
they’ve made their own decision
jail stripes make love to the ball and chain
toupees move with agitation.

we’re all headed toward the same e n d.
