nature doesn't stop
trees sway, clouds float and sun sets
views always change
I see you there then in the blink of an eye you’re gone. The body remains there but the soul has moved on.
I remember the times when we danced in the rain and the snow. Wet and cold we were but our hearts were of love aglow.
I look at you now but know you’re not there. Whoever chose to steal your soul for me does not care.
In the blink of an eye as time had moved on. The air, water, sky in the world - is it really there now that all the love has gone?
I remember your face and I remember your smile. I sometimes hear your voice and catch your glimpse through my eyes. In the blink of an eye then you’re gone. I see your face in the clouds, rub my eyes and slowly move on.
In a blink of eye
An year passed or as decade
Made all of my dreams dry
With your compassion to fade
Still illusions or I say expectations were high
We
Blink, and
The world goes
Black for just a
Millisecond - such
A tiny piece of time
That we could walk on without
Ever truly thinking about.
This me, living on in front of you,
I'd smile if I vanished in that short blink.
A face, a name, the colour of eyes,
They become meaningless as we
Continue our slow waltz on;
How many humans do
You see in a day?
If you see me,
Blink - breathe in -
And live
On.
We look up and see the sky and wonder how many stars there are.
We ponder life and death, and hope for all of the best.
We play and laugh each day, not knowing the true meaning of life.
We love and hate, making us have good and bad days.
We live and learn, like each storm we come through with new ways to think.
We are here, but can go anywhere within a blink, changing us forever.
We are who we are, yet we are nothing, but what we create.
Blink and the world puts you in last
Hands shaping the future ahead of you,
While yours still reach for what has already passed.
What slips away was never meant for you.
Let empty hands make space for something new.
Blink Blink-okay , this is real
No dream is happening here
Wait a minute... I feel healed,
Joy and happiness replacing fear
I look up to the High,
Only to hear myself whisper, Thank You
A habit I once had to hide
Beats in a rhythm my heart never knew
No memories holding yesterday
No regrets weighing down my shoulder
Here they come-the tears race their way
I've been healed... reborn, bolder
Blink Blink-yeah, this is real
You stand witness to my testimony
My suffering no longer has a place to live;
Those storms never could own me
June was a blip a blink and a sigh
I thought we might be ten days in when I realized
We are well on our way to July
Summer solstice is tomorrow
Where did June go? She slipped in quietly.
Danced around with August weather.
Our low today in Kansas was eighty.
That was our LOW!
June used to be for weddings; May used to be for proms
Now weddings are in October; and proms are in April
If July is as sneaky and tricky as June it will be Christmas in five minutes
Time is racing past faster and faster as I age
I blink my eyes, and I see you again.
The pain is gone. You once walked out my door.
After so many years, where have you been?
You look so beautiful, like way back when.
Your spirit and life are just like before.
I blink my eyes, and I see you again.
What path have you travelled in years since then?
Did you journey to a far distant shore?
After so many years, where have you been?
There's but an eye blink in the lives of men,
and sometimes, I ask, what is it all for.
I blink my eyes, and I see you again.
I lift up my eyes, and put down my pen
to look at the face that I so adore.
After so many years, where have you been?
Why did we part? It is beyond my ken.
I dumbly repeat and say one time more.
I blink my eyes, and I see you again.
After so many years, where have you been?
Ballooner, blink in the hot air.
Wink, O noonday sun.
On the brink, is life unfair?
Drink and be as one!
Supreme being, I imbibe!
Above god and man!
Dervish, deus, diatribe!
Lengthen, every span!
Grim-faced, O my spectres?
Well, that's the way it goes.
Singulars and hectares!
Core cone, thy carrion crows!
Trammell the enameling?
O nightingale, sing sweet.
O sky above, thy paneling!
O lion, at thy feet!
Yellow priestess, ritual.
Of this what knoweth ye?
Barrel out the brazen bull!
Fling out, fancy-free!
Rhyme and riddle, rill on roll.
Drums, thy wargods beat.
Goddess of the asherah pole!
Chosen to complete!
Tyrant of tomorrow?
An image wrought in spark.
Brindle, bindle, broken bow!
Gold, fluoresce in dark!
Hone thy skill, O warrior!
Dare not to drop thy tools!
Skyscraper, art free and sure?
Toss away thy rules...
BLINK
Green Light --
Farewells strung
Dawn whisks in a flash
Lost among zooms of speed
Exiting from my blank life
“ Memories throb in empty beats.”
Holding on and not letting go is more of what my heart tends to show,
To bring myself clarity and loves reward,
To understand that there's so much more,
So many give up, too many walk away,
Believing they have it all figured out every day,
When the truth is change can come quickly and new perspectives arrive,
The heart can change in the blink of an eye,
And all of a sudden what looked blurry and dim,
Can shed light into a dark room and can find it's way again.
In the blink of an eye
As thoughts are most often linked ,
Ours minds eye attracts as if by instinct,
You become so distraught & than come alive ,
Sparking a thought that's barely revived ,
Causing a cosmic divide of prayers built from love ,
Thankfully blessed like the flight of a dove ,
As you look back from the past where joy once felt cold ,
Toward a future you hold while your future unfolds,
In the depths of your mind, a symphony plays,
Echoing love in mysterious ways,
Guiding your heart to a place that's divine,
Where thoughts intertwine as light realigns,
As a beacon so bright your soul fights to ignite,
Illuminating your path through the darkest of nights,
A cosmic divide where the faithless reside ,
In prayers whispered softly with hope by your side,
Thankful and blessed with no need to confess,
Once the love that surrounds you is truly finessed ,
So let your thoughts wander, let your mind be at ease,
Knowing love is the answer, it holds all the keys ??
Eyes locked, hearts spoke.
Love knocked, feelings woke.
I smiled, she blushed.
She mirrored, i gushed.
I was the fire, but i melted .
She was ice, but "sun-hot".
Time danced slow as our minds began to plot,
a story forged through the fire of desire,
Inked with hearts that synced in accord,
strangers, familiar along the pages of prospects.
Wedding bells rang,
"here comes the bride" sang.
Flowers crafted perfumed symphonies,
as the altar witnessed intertwining of destinies.
"I do", with eyes of admiration and deep reassuring voice,
i spoke to her soul.
She opened the floodgates to her milky teeth,
eyes dilated with tears of joy, taking in this moment of bliss,
Her chocolate lips, marinated in cherries, made love and bore sweet words as she began the vows.
I couldn't hold it together, as i anticipated her seal to the covenant,
"I..."
Before she could write our story in the stars,
Our thoughts were cut short, by a voice that robbed....
My soulmate, in his arms.
We’re free when we blink, in time’s pause
but otherwise we’re not,
so it’s best we discern the cause
of trance to be self-taught.
Path to freedom jump start,
employ mind of the heart,
in stillness, a learnt art.
We sink when we think ~
We’re free when we blink
