June was a Blip Blink and Sigh

June was a blip a blink and a sigh
I thought we might be ten days in when I realized
We are well on our way to July
Summer solstice is tomorrow

Where did June go? She slipped in quietly.
Danced around with August weather.
Our low today in Kansas was eighty.
That was our LOW!

June used to be for weddings; May used to be for proms
Now weddings are in October; and proms are in April
If July is as sneaky and tricky as June it will be Christmas in five minutes
Time is racing past faster and faster as I age
