blink

We
Blink, and
The world goes
Black for just a
Millisecond - such
A tiny piece of time
That we could walk on without
Ever truly thinking about.
This me, living on in front of you,
I'd smile if I vanished in that short blink.
A face, a name, the colour of eyes,
They become meaningless as we
Continue our slow waltz on;
How many humans do
You see in a day?
If you see me,
Blink - breathe in -
And live
On.

Couldn't stop blinking reading this verse. Beautifully written.
