“Do not fear death so much but rather the inadequate life.” Bertolt Brecht
They gathered around the table to a game of bingo
at tables decorated with pink flamingos
Blank stares and forced smiles on some faces
Some lost in their own thoughts from other places
A shout out of” Bingo” brings them back for a moment
Eagerly awaiting that coin prize as a bestowment
Soon it’s time to go back to their lonely rooms
As they are slowly wheeled back amongst the putrid fumes
Their halls are haunted daily by cries of pain and despair
As most would not have chosen to be there
Their happiness lost in memories of a past life
When they lived with family, or had a husband or wife
As night falls they're settled in their hospital beds
Praying for sleep as they are taking their nighttime meds
Some stay awake as they hope for that silent kiss
The kiss of death would be welcomed by many with bliss

I wonder how I will score." Quote by the poet.

The day is ending.Traveling done, no more roaming.
On the threshold 0f change, spirited emotions intensify,
Dusk and sunset, when They meet, it’s the gloaming.
As ominous silver streaks Weave across a sun soaked sky,
I settle to watch, Inspired by that instant moment,
When day gives over to night, Like a regal bestowment.
Lights Instantly shimmer, as we near twilight.
Across the horizon created a radiant Glow so bright.
This magical moment captured with a deep ruby Hue.
Detailing an exquisite True crimson etched in view.
There is so much this world can offer
But “been there, done that” settles in
There is no need for us to scoffer
At ones' stay put and “hasn’t been”
Think you have seen the earthly beauty
When hitting trodden tourist paths?
Come to big cities, gleaming snooty
Yet never try to take bypass
Bunch ways less travelled, places hidden
The shores, the mountains – take pick
They are wide open, not forbidden
Drive on dirt road to get a kick
We seldom see unspoiled beauty
With eyes so tired of TV
Before you leave, make it your duty
Watch starry sky, because it’s free
Let autumn leaves be quilt aglowing
On which you cannot leave a mark
To Nature’s mastery be bowing
Spectator sole, bewildered stark
To sit and listen, forest speaking
With jumbled words of rustling spigs
Lo, smell the wind, aromas streaking
Of flowers, water, fungi, twigs
Sunset at desert, small bonfire
They put one’s mind in gear shift
Important things you thought of prior
All take back seat so “tout de suite”
No one is coming spoil the moment
Yours to imbibe, save evermore
That’s what you get, as your bestowment
For sneaking out through backdoor

He lives forever in my mind,
For what he is I’m blind,
Yet when he scratches the back of his head,
My heart pled,
This mundane moment,
Was to me an important bestowment,
Because it means he exists,
And I’m no longer a fantasists.

The day is done. Travel dispersed, no more roaming.
Between dusk and sunset, it’s the gloaming.
I settle to watch, inspired by that instant moment,
When day gives over to night a regal bestowment.
Lights begin to shimmer, as we near twilight.
Across the horizon created a radiant glow so bright.
This magical moment captured with a deep ruby hue.
Detailing an exquisite hefty crimson etched in view.
Streams of color blend seamlessly in swirls of delight.
Heavily embossed across the faded sky, birds in flight.
Sunset’s glowing color of crimson and gold,
As night’s velvety blanket begins to unfold.
Whispers of a breeze wafting gently, flickers a scent.
Evokes aromatic bursts, sensual yet earthy by intent.
With a sweetness, and a warm tranquil overtone.
I am nestled snugly, captivated by joy I've never known.
Capturing my imagination of a candle in glorious blaze,
My breath extinguishing it to create the dark night haze.

"Be blissfully blessed by God's bestowment... bountifully benefitting with His grace beyond temporal bonuses, while sharing them along heart that's beauteous." by the Poet
Midst blissfulness for blessings everyday
Jubilant heart praises the Lord as source
Of compassion with peace and mercy’s ray
Toward accomplishment along work force.
Midst joyfulness for faith-fortitude’s brace
Triumphant soul worships with joyous glow
Marked by redemption upon hope and grace
Toward reaching-out along blessings’ flow.
Midst exuberance for glad attitude’s zest
Radiant spirit prays in sincere plight
With cheerful hope and miraculous best
Toward sharing along caring delight.
Midst happiness* for God's love, surely great
Vibrant life ripples with thanksgiving mirth
Upon exposure of reliance-trait
Toward service along partnership's worth.
*Psalm 144:15 Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.

Sometimes there is frustration
For what I cannot do
I'm in the wrong location
I'd rather be with you
Enjoying nights of passion
Living days in love
In every form and fashion
Whatever we think of
Sometimes there is that moment
Where I just want to sit
And dream of my bestowment
Sweetheart, you are it
You know by now I love you
I hope that you're convinced
All the way to "I do"
My devotion I've evinced
Because I live*, I do my best
Beyond mere survival as blest
By God Who grants breath bestowment
Bringing share for life’s betterment.
Building lives midst compassion bliss
Buttressed by love from heart’s abyss…
Be that my goal, always blooming
Braced by Christ Whose light keeps beaming.
(Alliteration with Quatrain)

God’s luminous sublime womb,
we take to be a dark tomb,
since mind-body looks outward,
our actions thus untoward.
Bemused thus by our senses,
living life in past tenses,
we’re rarely in this moment,
self-blocking bliss bestowment.
Do not grieve, for soul’s reprieve
is when thoughts we cease to weave,
free will choice we each can take,
to boundless bliss, now awake.
Void of silence let’s befriend,
enabling soul to ascend,
heart receptive and porous,
a bliss magnetised torus.

Spring
blesses
bloom delights
nature glowing
with God’s bestowment
buds, bulbs, flowers
bounty bursts
breathing
hope.
Hope
revives
beams with bliss
birthing newness
midst God*’s endowment
of peace and joy
love to share
from heart’s
spring.
*Genesis 49:25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb.

Sweet angel of Mayfield
lifted into the air.
She was the sweetheart
of a town…their prayer.
She’s a representative
of a dozen kids
who will spend Christmas
off the earthly grid.
We look into her hopeful face…
there was a moment
where the world thought
the twister might hand a bestowment
to a town torn up.
the light in babe’s eyes
a twinkle in heaven…
as earth weeps ‘goodbye.’
Reminders that life is short,
sometimes very short…
Many in Mayfield left
by windswept transport.
Sweet angel of Mayfield
merely a representative
of a town torn asunder
with no preventative.
Reminder to hug loved ones
tight —
give your hearts to God
right now.

What is lost is what is forgotten.
Like a time that is rotten.
But new days will sprout.
That I will remember and not spout.
I shall let go of the ragged moments.
I will not allow bestowment.
I will not allow old memories to grow.
Into an untrue form.
I will trust in my reform.
For my strange behavior is not a regret.
Because it has taught me there is no reason to fret.
