Sweet Angel of Mayfield

Sweet angel of Mayfield
lifted into the air.
She was the sweetheart
of a town…their prayer.

She’s a representative
of a dozen kids
who will spend Christmas
off the earthly grid.

We look into her hopeful face…
there was a moment
where the world thought
the twister might hand a bestowment

to a town torn up.
the light in babe’s eyes
a twinkle in heaven…
as earth weeps ‘goodbye.’

Reminders that life is short,
sometimes very short…
Many in Mayfield left
by windswept transport.

Sweet angel of Mayfield
merely a representative
of a town torn asunder
with no preventative.

Reminder to hug loved ones
tight —
give your hearts to God
right now.

So many things have happened in the last couple of years to remind us to hug our babies, for tomorrow is not promised to any of us! You have done an excellent job of reminding us of this Kim

These are some of my favorite lines, Kim. After this heinous tragedy, I'd want to give you a huge warm hug. I hope you are safe and uninjured as a result of the natural calamity. I wish you the best of luck.

God certainly has His ways... of reminding us... I'd rather it not be so harsh... Let the angels stay up there... But the 'Big Picture' eludes me... ~ Counting my Blessings, gw

Tornadoes are terrible. What a pity so many died. May they rest in peace. Hugs.

Reminder to hug loved ones tight — give your hearts to God right now. I love this line, always do give a hug... Horrible disaster.

It is beyond imagination what happened to this town. I am praying about the storms tonight. Minnesota in the path. God please keep my family there safe.
