Best Wishful Thinking Poems
Tossing on my rocking chair,
In pitch sable dark of the night,
Where no stars shimmer in the sky,
Waiting for the early morning light.
The bay window is clean, with a wide scene.
Would the day reveal a land with woods so green?
Occasionally the moon penetrates
The heavy rainy murky clouds,
As moonbeams glimmer over oceans.
Happy the dead dispersed of crowds,
For behind lay a cemetery full of snow,
The North wind will never stop its blow.
I was left alone in the spectral scene.
Alas lonely and abandoned by all;
Or do I see a faint silhouette on a moonbeam
Gliding onwards toward Autumn and Fall?
Ah I cannot see the golden leaves fall gently,
Now I’m in winter with nothing to protect me.
Have you ever tried to reach and touch a star,
those tiny twinkling specks that seem so far?
Or step across and walk on Rain's big bow
and sit and watch the world move down below?
Ever felt the wind and wondered where it goes,
this familiar friend that no one sees or knows?
Or tried to keep a snowflake in your hand,
to see God's art up close and understand?
Have you ever wished to pull back time,
those huge hands that hold what's yours and mine?
Would you like yesterday to be tomorrow
and change a dark day to joy from sorrow?
Maybe wishes are better left in dreams,
instead of the light of the Sun's cruel beams.

My flesh yearns for your touch
As my soul cries out your
name
In my heart, I miss you
Although my mind wants to
send you away...
Our honest words hurt
Is it to late to take them back?
I wanted to hear you say
"I love you"
But you regretted that fact.
I dedicated songs to you
Because I felt that the lyrics
were true
But now when I hear the songs
on the radio
I feel like a fool for missing you
Wondering if your foolish
enough to miss me too.
I sit with my feet touching the water
fascinated by a playful otter
near the river's edge, amid evergreens,
rolling along the sapphire surface sheens.
Swimming up and down propelling itself
enlightening up on a bare rock shelf.
Scattered green dwarf saplings I sit and spy
capricious. Once again and it's good-bye.
A breath, filled with, bluebells, lavender bell
blooms bright and lovely, I linger a spell.
Pink and white dance across, and hint of breeze
Plethora of weeds, brown moss grasps the trees.
I dream of pixies, and fairies behind
wild spray of tall dandelions, I'd find.

If one can see beauty everywhere
If one can find light in their despair
If one can find strength when they are weak
If at one's lowest they still find a peak
If one with many losses can still see a gain
If one feels a love through all of their pain
If one can find calm in a life of distress
If one can see splendor in all their mess
If one can find happiness in their grief
If one can fill the void simply with a belief
If one can slow down in a life of rush
If in one’s chaos they can find a hush
If one can find mobility within restrain
If one can find sanity in what is insane
If one can be humble and take a seat
If one can be kind to all that they meet
If one can find life when not wanting to live
If one can be giving with not much to give
If one can still trust after all have lied
If after failing one can say they tried
If one can see hope when all hope is gone
If one can see themselves in their kid’s to live on
If in darkness you see the moon's glow is from the sun......
No wait; is this wishful thinking, or am I the only one?

day-dreams
Glancing around,
All that I see,
Is 10,000 people,
Nothing like me.
Stuck in a rat race,
With their lofty goals,
Pushing forward,
Ignoring the tolls.
So many victims,
Of their blind trek,
Trampled underfoot,
Left in a wreck.
The sacrificial lambs,
All lead to the slaughter,
Just so they can make,
One more extra dollar.
Am I truly without purpose?
Or do I simply perceive,
The most of the people,
Are completely deceived.
Do you really blame me?
For my paralyzed state,
When every single system,
Seems entirely bait.
How can I exist in a world,
Based in competition,
Where people use people,
Without recognition.
What hope do they have,
To ever be enlightened,
When the bottom line is,
They are all simply frightened.
That they will become the dirt,
Under the shoes,
Of some successful person,
Be someone they used.
We can’t win,
So instead we crawl,
Over the bodies,
Of those who would fall.
How can I exist,
In such a flawed system?
Where so many people,
Are simply a victim.
What hope do we have,
If we continue this tragedy,
Plodding ahead,
Using the same old strategy.
I pray for the day,
That everything changes,
When we move away from the world,
That only estranges.
In my heart of hearts,
I dream of a world,
I can only imagine,
Yet to be unfurled.
One where people can love,
They can cherish and grow,
Without taking from another,
Without someone below.
A world where people,
Uplift one another,
Instead of the typical,
Attempts to smother.
I release this desire,
Into the universe,
In hopes that something,
Will eventually reverse.
That humans will finally,
See their mistakes,
Turn from this path,
And stop being snakes.
As I sit here, wishing he was here
Trickling down my face, are tears
I kept thinking, maybe it's not true
When's this nightmare through?
Had seen his name on different sites
Start to feel really uptight
Kept thinking maybe I am right
Some day he will be standing in sight
If this only could have been true
I wouldn't feel the way I do
still have my brother here, too
if only people knew

So many times so quick to judge,
so easily, we bare that grudge
thinking the better of ourselves
as if we know whats good and well.
We give advice, to recieve none
heed what we say or be undone.
we always have a new way out
but never truly do escape,
or else we wouldnt live the tale
as surely we do all but fail.
We are the ones they should call wise
for such is evident in our own eyes
If we were wrong, would we not know?
follow us, and with you go . .
The yellow brick road was paved by us,
we showed alice to wonderland,
we gave snowwhite her waking kiss,
and gave aladin chance to wish.
we are live in our own fairytale
so follow us to fields of bliss . . .
or you could listen to truth,
but there'd be so much fun to miss.
As children we’d gather and toss
Dimes in wells, our to do wish
Old dreams wither in winter but
hope thaws in the spring, a new wish
Mine hands clasped in silent prayer
But no answer to my true wish
Time’s up, too many rain checks love,
Prithee grant that overdue wish
Our eyes meet and my heart grows still
Now tell me love what do you wish?
my first attempt at a ghazal.
An old man sat thinking
Oh what shall I do
I really could do
With a woman or two!
The younger the better
Or three in a bed
Why are these thoughts
Going round in my head
But his looks were not pleasant
His age clearly showed
He looked like a frog
Or more so a toad!
So he came up with a devious plan
To make ladies think
That he was a young man
He joined Match.com
With a profile that said
I'm tall, dark and handsome
And damned good in bed
I'm just six feet tall
With piercing blue eyes
And in case you are wondering
It's a respectable size!
I own a nice house
I'm solvent and funny
I drive a Rolls Royce
And I have tons of money
And if you are game
For pleasure and fun
Please do get in touch
I just could be the one
He then sorted through photos
Of himself years gone by
With no wrinkles and handsome
Looking smart, suit and tie
Then he posted his profile
With his hopes raised sky high
But he looked in the mirror
And saw with a sigh
A beer belly, false teeth
Specs, walking stick
Looked down and oh
He could not see his dick!
I can get some viagra
A dot on the card
Apparently works wonders
For making things hard!
But there was a huge problem
He thought whilst he sighed
One look at me and
She will know that I lied
What's the solution
We will meet in the dark
Late at night with no moon
At the local park
But he knew damned well
That it would never work
And went to bed feeling
Like such a prize berk!
To be literate makes us cock of the hoop.
If we cannot read we’re out of the loop,
but can a slowpoke,
and illiterate folk,
learn to read eating alphabet soup.
Wishful thinking
Wishful thinking, the realities of your mind,
Like the sight of a man, that is truly blind.
It’s a beastly lion, in the shadow of a cat,
Like the rise of a balloon, that has gone flat.
Wishful thinking, unsolved problems with a clue,
Imagination in motion, from a faded point of view.
Desires of the heart, with impossible dreams,
Like a ride across the sky, on a Bald Eagles wings.

As i sit and watch the rain fall on my windows i gaze at how peacefully the sounds of the water dropping drip by drip. I observe my tears drip Down. And drip away in my Soul as i see my self dancing in the rain of a bright future finally at peace to feel the passion of Devotion placed at my feet with the actions of my flesh putting in all the work to make it in life. I strive each day for better giving my heart enough time to lounge in the chair underground so i can get my mind in shape. Imaging ways to be creative in my own mind being diffrent from any other woman u may see but still be me gracefully.
