Premium Member Lady, Please Shut Your Kid Up

It is a situation no one would call bliss.
Fewer things in life are considered bad as this.
When a mother has a loud-screaming kid with her,
it is a pain to my ears, and a big bother.

You know it’s an embarrassing predicament,
when your child is a loud juvenile delinquent.
It’s never too early to teach your kid some class.
He has not shut up since the doctor slapped his ass.
Won’t you make an attempt, or don’t you really care?
Right now, I feel like choking off all of his air!
You must realize the situation you’re in.
That little brat should know that silence is golden.

Everyone knows human wants are insatiable.
When they’re vocalized, they are intolerable.
I know it’s difficult to keep them satisfied.
Please shut your kid up, or he will become deep-fried!

Premium Member Entertainment Tonight Theme Song

Entertainment tonight;
It's alright;
Entertainment tonight;
Out of sight;
Woo oh oh, we're here to entertain you;

We've got entertainment media news;
Music, and fashions dresses pants and shoes;
We got the scoop on the latest Hollywood news;

We're here to entertain you;

Entertainment tonight;
it's alright;
Entertainment tonight;
Out of sight;
woo oh oh, we're here to entertain you;

We've got Isaac Hayes, even Bernadette  Peters hey, hey, hey;
We'll comment on Big Albert, and even Willie Mayes;
Got the gossip and views on whose marring who. . .
Woo oh oh, we're here to entertain you;

Entertainment tonight, it's alright;
entertainment tonight, out of sight;
woo oh oh, we're here to entertain you;

I reckon I'm showing my age and am pretty well set in my ways,
But I have zero tolerance for the 'noise' called music nowadays!
The metal bands and rap are loathsome to my sensitive ears.
I haven't heard a melodic tune on the radio for over sixty years!

Pleasing to the ear was Vaughn Monroe and his mellow baritone.
Likewise, the romantic, comprehensible crooning of Vic Damone.
A songster who could stir even the most unromantic soul,
Was the silky-smooth delivery of debonair Nat King Cole!

I truly enjoyed the ballads belted out by the ever-living Elvis,
And got a kick out of watching in action his double-jointed pelvis!
Delightful were the songs vocalized by cheerful Doris Day.
It was so relaxing listening to the Velvet Fog, Mister Mel Torme!

Will there ever be another Glenn Miller, Perry Como or Peggy Lee,
Dinah Shore, Frankie Laine or Jo Stafford entertaining me?
Oh, to hear again The Mills Brothers and their sweet harmony.
Now all I hear is dreadful screams and gross disharmony!

Today's drivel to my romantic soul gives me great offense.
'Tis alien to my ears and doesn't make a bit of sense.
Music back then invited you to hold your gal in close embrace,
As you danced and murmured sweet nothings face to face!

Premium Member Spring

I waited... I surmised
I know I agonized
Of course... I never realized
Springtime was disguised

I pondered... I personalized
I know I criticized
Of course... I never recognized
Spring had improvised

I questioned... I vocalized
I know I dramatized
Of course... I verbalized
Spring had not arrived

I charted... I analyzed
I know I hypothesized
Of course... I never was more surprised
A third Nor'easter materialized

I remember... I fantasized
I know I rationalized
Of course... I never romanticized
That spring would be winterized

Breath In Poetry

take me breath
to the freshest space

let me breathe
in freedom
in your deepest dive

escort me breath
with your tenderness

to kiss words
and carve verses

bring me breath
to my poetic  temples
there i can spell out
my heart’s vibrations

provoke
physical thoughts
arise
promises

please
no tightness
no depressed

breath
collided

vocalized  tune
shared  the thoughts
spread the love

leave me breath
leave me there
in my poetic temples

Swords Speak

Swords speak brittle metal thrusts
 singing a song in the wind by touch and lost trust;
blade upon blade clanging the swish of empty points
 deeply cut for glory and honor now disjoint.

The sword speaks forged in metallic shields
  shaped and tapered to steeled pricking yields;
sword smith tamahagane  billets delivery
  quenched in fire and tempered chivalry.

Swords speak sharp yet to the death
  the very depths and blood letting breaths
for love, for country, brothers of courage, fear and fires
  fighting for Gods and goddesses, rulers and empires.

It is the brothers, fathers and sons slipping out of place
  bound to stand bold and listen to the forgotten embrace
of time when men were free to let the swords speak bold
 no longer so but may yet be as they grow gray and old.

Free people are all brothers
 at the very start
then in some discorded word
 find swords will resolve the hatred spark.

Deep the wounds cut and slicing
  but words are no longer vocalized politely
only the sharpness and the glint
  of the sword that hears and feels its bloodstained tint.

--------

You enter confines of
love’s hideaway in
silence, yet oral
articulation overflows;
every need, want, and desire
vocalized within velveteen caresses.
Moistened murmurs echo
from secret grotto where
coquettish companions cavort.
Depth of soul kiss inspires
profound passion, surging
swells of sensuality, and
savory satisfaction.
Eagerness escalates and
enjoyment abounds in this
enticingly exquisite
entanglement.
All is confessed;
lips, mouth and tongue
communicate ever so skillfully.
There are times when words
are just better left
unspoken.

Premium Member Birthday 74

Oft come days when invariably it seems,
As if I'm simply whipping a dead horse.
Feet touching floor bring muted Gout screams,
Heard above my popping joints of course.

Yesterday's greeting was my birthday song,
Vocalized by a very special friend of mine.
The neighbors house burning, didn't take long,
But conveyed a message, that my day was fine.

Until sis Norma called, (who suspects I'm a flake)
With pertinent information to gladly share.
She said the 74 candles on my birthday cake,
(Not burning house) caused smoke to fill the air.

I'm still faltering.

Even though I'm sitting down.

Befuddled and lost.

That could be vocalized by.

Chagrining longing for life

Premium Member Sunset Lullaby

Upon leaves of gold, orange and brunette,
I lay with backpack as my pillow asset.
As air touches me, smooth as any duvet,
cascading songs sing from a drowsy sunset:

Mountain sleep-persuasion strong
sways treetops in cradlesong.
Lay down contents of your daylong -
wake the morn to sweet birdsong.

Rest in mountain’s majestic lure,
in pure sunset breezes demure
touchingly tucking you secure
while stars twinkle sleeps allure.
Rest as night sounds of content
wrap you in natures melodic intent.
Trees give loft to cares ascent
as sunset grabs peace’s descent.

Rest easy under night’s canopy
vocalized in sunset’s rhapsody,
and trilled in twilight’s pageantry,
to bring dreams of prime fantasy.
Sleep sweet in sunset’s essence
under the galaxy’s guard presence.
Feel sunset’s alluring radiance
rock you soft thru night’s cadence.

Mountain sleep-persuasion strong
sways treetops in cradlesong.
Lay down contents of your daylong -
wake the morn to sweet birdsong.

Pebble In the Sea

Her jacket softly brushed against itself,
Painted a soft dull green,
Her hair hid under her knitted woven hat,
Showing the lower lobe of her ears,
Where her earrings matched her bright white smile,
A joyous occusion,
To see her smile,
Her eyes peeked through the clear lens of her thick black glasses,
I can't help but think,
Anything else would be an understatement,
Would I think the same thing,
Through someone else's eyes,
Such music,
The way her voice vocalized,
The indentions left in her cheeks,
Her skin wore a radiant brown,
Beautiful in color,
Her blush shown red as her cheeks could go no higher,
Her smile stretched comfortably across her face,
Leaving more to the imagination,
If I gave my eyes to someone else,
Would they see the same as I saw,
No longer blind as I felt I could be myself,
No longer a pebble in the sea of her eye

The Timeless Generation

This is a tribute to those who were themselves
An ode to the incredible minds
Including Hunter S. Thompson and Jim Morrison
Artist born inarguably before their time

This is a write to the rebels
Those who punched authority in the mouth
Bob Marley and Johnny Cash
Belong in this crowd without a doubt

This is an anthem
To those who stand up for their rights
Muhammad Ali, Malcom X, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
 For the Africans led freedoms fight

This is a write
For those who have the voice for the ages
Jerry Garcia, and Jimmy Buffett
Were at their best on the grandest of stages

This is a document
Endowing guitar god immortality
To Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, and Dwayne Allman
Their names shall live long after their fatality

Texas Rock Legends ZZ Top
Belong in the guitar god classification
Well into their sixties
They are still rocking stages for this great nation

Pink Floyd is embraced with love
Symbolizing the envied acid trip generation
Singing mellow songs with an especially deep message
Times tarnished by public misinterpretation

I’ve mentioned few
Of the historic minds I hold dear
Though many were lost before I was born
I still shed symbolic tears

Their messages and combined impact
On the generation in which I belong
Often could only
Be broadcast in song

They vocalized their messages
To impact segregation
They sang songs filled with meaning
Often advocating self medication

Their memories are priceless
Even to those they were never to know
Their impact so important
Such a significant path drove

They lived in controversial times
Experiencing events not known to we of today
All we know
Is what our teachers choose to display

Knowledge may be earned
By studying these priceless minds
Listen to their music, read their messages to the world
For you would be so very surprised

This art is non-existent
In this “Bill Mahr” defined era
Rather than banding together, we point fingers
With women finally able to vote, they only worry about their mascara

The efforts of our former sixties/seventies generations
To change our nation has now been proven to have failed
For the future has shown
Their freedom train was to be inevitably derailed

Dawn

Rays of light mottle an atmospheric canvas
Varnished with a saddened hue of blue
One requires the other

Alarm clocks chime the birth
Vocalized stretches alert commencement

Rising spines challenge each mind
to acknowledge gratitude
Whether expressed or not

Fate marks an autographed message
which lays the foundation for maturity

And growth...blossoms

A breeze that captivates flesh
A song that whistles its own etymon

Begging for style
Ignoring rhetoric
As street lights decompose

The life before the night before
Exposed.
She never belonged to him anyway.

The skyline explains
The fate that was chosen
Froze.
The night was ours
The morning belongs to no one.

Nature's Chant

Oh song of life,
Hears animals croon their mating chant.
Oh song of life,
Resonates precisely, no strife.
Passions of love never recant.
Sounds vocalized bound to enchant.
Oh song of life,

Nature’s mantra,
Flora and fauna greet life's fate.
Nature’s mantra,
Guiding all living by karma.
Sweet chants that through the woods vibrate.
As per Mother Nature’s dictate.
Nature’s mantra!

Premium Member Schizophrenia Sympathy Pain

I’ve misplaced my phone,
no I haven’t, I’ve lost it.
It’s nowhere in my home
and no matter where I look, I can’t come across it.
You’ve probably done similar things like that before
like leaving your car keys inside your car,
and then locking yourself outside your car door.
I lost my phone, wallet and cash within the course of a week
and then suddenly it hit me like an unexpected rain.
This is my unprofessional conclusion to all of my confusion,
Schizophrenia Sympathy Pain.
Much like the loved ones who witness the terms of pregnancy of their beloved,
they often experience sympathy pregnancy pains as if it were real.
When it comes to Sympathy Pain, Schizophrenia also has it covered.
IT got a huge helping of the Sympathy Pain deal.
I used to watch my poor son, stricken with this horrible thing,
pacing and laughing and talking without a care.
He seemed so happy and this picture would be perfect, if not for one thing.
He was carrying on with someone who just wasn’t there.
One day I happened to accidentally videotape myself.
I forgot that my camera was still recording me, but all just the same,
 I once again caught a glimpse of my ailing mental health.
More Schizophrenia Sympathy Pain.
There I was just like he, rambling on endlessly,
talking out loud to no one. I was home all alone
and as if in a competitive race, just like he I would pace
with vocalized imagined conversations of my own.
Even though I realize that I was just talking aloud to myself,
and that unlike he, I was always aware, no one else was there.
Still, Schizophrenia Sympathy Pain creeps up on me with the greatest of stealth.
Schizophrenia Sympathy Pain will always be my cross to bear.
Schizophrenia Sympathy Pain will always haunt me and continue to remain
While My Son suffers with REAL Schizophrenia Pain.
