A Lover With Gentle Hands

Lover, touch her with a gentleness
which maker her quiver with passion;
when whispered words matter,
a delightful thought can enlighten
her sublime smile lost in happiness,
what else will she desires more than love?
Inside the fire is unquenchable,
and the joy is unsurmountable:
when it is started and given
by a lover with gentle hands;
a lover whose trust in her is pure!

In that meadow where wild flowers
are a dazzling red and invite fragile butterflies,
the waving grass of the fragrant hill
turns a solar yellow in extreme heat...
as two lovers weave amazing dreams
by the shade of a willow tree;
and who knows this season better than they?

Lover with gentle hands,
never take those hands away;
keep caressing her, never pretend;
and whenever she asks for another kiss:
be generous and make her delirious...
as the southern wind brings
another fragrance of distant memories
that a forgetful lover leaves behind!

Even this memorable day is coming to its end,
and the kisses intensify as you wish for stars...
chasing away the scarlet sunset with impatient eyes;
and she gladly expresses that intense imotion,
never refusing, ever obedient and silently
she lets every sense be taken by imagination...
only feeling the gentle hands of a lover, who demands
nothing more than faithfulness and generosity!

Corona

Corona
                                                   --------

Oh ! Aghast ! This is the deadliest
                                       treacherous , relentless war ever
                                       waged against humanity by that
                                       invisible satanic overlord virus Corona by name;
                                       the virus of seemingly insurmountable
energy of vengeance and hatred out
                                       to wipe out humanity

                                       Rise mankind! Rise now !against
                                       this demonic Corona .to
fight a battle of wits- for your survival

                                       mankind you must confront
and destroy this hater of human race Corona

fight gallantly with all your might
with prudence utmost , courage and brevity

                                        to quell the venomous pangs
of this invisible snake …..Corona ,
render it useless and headless to
                                         to quit into
                                        a realm of oblivion or 'no man's land;
and never ever to show its ugly face

to restore Earth's peace and serenity
Let this Earth remain for ever the land for
the human race and human race alone

On a Clear Day - Etheree

Snow
atop
Mount Snowdon
On a clear day
visibility
is unsurmountable,
mist can invade in minutes.
Causing treacherous conditions.
carry extra clothes, maps and whistle.
Look and enjoy the vista unfolded.

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

All Encompassing

It was a romantic endeavor
this quest for vaporous ridges,
as an adventurous spirit crested
already reaching dizzying altitudes,
short of vital breath & intensely high,
yet, there was no returning as the
summit was a mere birds-eye view,
it was the last chance to achieve
brass ring elevations mid skies'
survival beyond boundless frontiers,
towering strength and determination
overcoming fears whilst lack of oxygen
was a matter of achieve/die, win/be buried
ultimate goal was furthermost zenith, 'til
Mt Everest in its infinite nature took grasp of
life and climber's deathly eminent boundaries,
while its unreckonable power commanded an
unsurmountable frigid avalanche 'neath violent deadlocks,
encasing tombs of unfulfilled loftily dreamt expeditions

One Year In Love

Yellow Letter Pad

In the environs of Kashmir our romance unfurled
As we sat honey eyed in our celestial world
Time had stopped running and lovingly slowed
A year had gone by and our unsurmountable joy glowed
As we held hands in the dim lights of the balcony's corner
Of a our first five star hotel in a celebratory dinner
Overlooking the Dal Lake with hundreds of houseboats brightly lit
Like sparkling stars had descended while I felt the light winds flit

My greek god had proposed to me in a car park a year ago
Till then we had only eyed each other, the future I didn't know
But was always struck by lightning and there was a thunderous tempo
Our families were familiar, but each ran after his own rainbow
The silence was broken when I migrated and stood on my own
I was a voracious letter writer and let the seeds of love be sown
I compelled a man suffering from writer's cramp for penned exchanges
Dried flowers were embossed on my yellow letter pad pages-
They had to be sadly burnt down some while ago
As white ants too had started romancing with them and I had to let it go-
He paid me some outstation visits as we sat by the lake
He regaled me with his anecdotes of his adventures in the army
My knight with his charismatic chauvinism did charm me
A year later I culminated my relationship with my beloved
As promised he took me to the paradise on earth that he just loved

Two Souls Piercing the Night

On the wings of mercury She slips into my soul Using kind words and
memories To mend this gaping hole Surrounded by unseeing walls
Never touching no embrace Thunderbolts breaking boundaries Closing
this unsurmountable unspoken space Days fall into months Time
crashes to the floor Eyes searching outward Crying out for more
This mystery of wonder Two souls piercing the night Silent whispers of
tomorrow Their union will make it right

Even More

Hold me brother of my fate
Push me still till ache cries in me
Show me deeds that only make me sudate
I prithee thee let out no pity
For I must needs be trudge in my plight
Secure my place of abode amidst the wild
Rub shoulders with giants like David
Show me no mercy but immense duty
That I will feel in my veins and cry in enjoying it
Measure me by inexplicable quest
I pass through by pyrrhic victory
Make me attempt the unsurmountable feats
that makes me feel weak
I’m almost there just some years to go
Show me where glory reigns
Show me where champions only live
Show me how real it is to survive by pushing hard
My eyes see the medallion
Hold me not back to lose the prize
Now or never many are on track
Running as swift as the cheetah to overtake
Show me Mount Everest that I may climb as an exercise
Or the Wall of China that I may build an inner
Peace only by fighting my way through the walls
If I fail I will not blame myself
I will blame time for running too fast
And destiny for not being helpful
I will mostly blame you my rabbi
For using the wrong tactics to train me
Don’t relent I will work hard, make my exercise
Energy sapping. I enjoy being strong by toiling
I need must not give up; my hustling will pay.

The Bewildered One

i crave freedom no mandates no commandments

freedom that allows me to recapture the dignity that was taken

i will lessen my own exaggerated suffering

i deal with disagreeable attitiudes on a regular basis

i catch myself watching my words as so they don't slip out

                             exhaustion and frustration

at times i thought i was destined to die alone

acting on decisions forced me into them

nothing is so painful or unsurmountable than in my journey now

i realize that my insecurity and ego are curiously linked

they trigger my fears and my defects

chocked with emotion as i watch my life unfold

i am arresting my growth based on intangible

i am the creator of my own reality

i find solace from personal confusion

i wave the white flag and finally breathe again

Can You Can a Comment

Can You Can a Comment

There are only certain things that are allowed
To happen all by yourself or in a big crowd
Like poems I have been writing as of late
On them having the power to concentrate.

What will end product of poem be for me
How it is interpreted am starting to see
Into past my promising poem will fade
Few or no comments were ever made.

Where in poem do you need an ingredient
To improve them and make more expedient
In last two hours have written four more
An unsurmountable addition is still in store.

People read poems and keep coming back
Yet still comments they will always lack
So would you say I was slightly suspicious
By saying your behavior is concupiscious.

Wow. Guess I have invented a new word
By adding copious to concupiscence. The
result is concupiscious. Added footnote.

Use Me Indefinitely,Lord

This heavy heart of wanderer rode
on the unremitting winds of sin...
riding on waves that only lulled
my many unsurmountable fears
and with no wings to hold me up,
I couldn't notice I was drifting past hope;
the distant sun brilliantly shone,
unable to reach those dark places within...

Use me indefinitely,Lord...
and make that bond stronger,
which was lost when I was younger;
use me indefinitely,Lord...
to amend the unkept promises
and the false will to live...
but looking to others for advice,
it all added up to wordly lies!

Why haven't I yet been blessed...
to share my blessings with others,
and be shielded from my enemies
with that invincible sword called,"Faith.";
why haven't I given up all the earthly joys...
to look up and cleanse me of all ugliness?

Use me indefinitely,Lord...
to never go back to those alluring ways:
to appease human behavior and bypass
a peaceful and long life ;
use me indefinetely,Lord...
at least,there is one left
to be redemeed by remorse and guilt,
and proclaim you shamelessly!

Trust In God

What would my life have been today,
Without you Lord to show me the way.
You are a loving God who always cares,
And removes all my worries, doubts and fears,
You lift me up from my complacency,
And gives me hope so I can truly see,
All the amazing things you have done for me.
You saved my soul and set me free,
You have kept me from unforeseen dangers
And guided me through many tough challengers
In you, I put my trust each day,
Confident you will guide each step of the way,
Though the tasks seem unsurmountable to me,
I will not doubt but put my trust solely in thee.
Your faithfulness is forever steadfast and true,
Your righteousness, I will forever pursue.

My Craving Heart

Let me have your sorrows and your pains, my love
Share with me the restless days that agony ignites
Why make your distresses unsurmountable and tough?
I swear I’ll be behind you when agony strikes

Once I sought your heart but you preferred someone else
I craved for your kisses and hugs but they weren’t for me
Give me your repentance, your penitence and stress
Share with me your feeling of remorse, your tragedy

I wish for you no longer to writhe in pain
I wish for you no longer to anguish endure
Give me your moments of stress and strain
Your solace from despair is begging on your door

See how moments of despair flee
Like the glitter of dew on a rose petal
My desolate heart is craving for you from eternity
My longing for you is fathomless and eternal

Crossing Those Bridges of Wonder

The turbid clouds hover mountains
of fluttering maples,spruces and pines
while I am crossing those bridges of wonder,
adjoined by sturdy steel cables
that even an impetuous wind couldn't oscillate;
man's ingenuity outwitting Mother Nature...
a tuneful voice rising from a spirit that perpetuates!

Rageful rivers resent their lament,
as fast currents struggle to find an inlet;
my hard breath surrenders
to an unchallenged fear!
From above danger is like the force of gravity,
I race with a brave face, but the harsh wind
still whips it with the strength of a twister,
blowing the pristine white sand...
turning it into a whirling dust cloud
only to diminish my visibility!

Let me cross those bridges of wonder,
in spite of lightning and thunder...
I'll brave the fiercest storm,
as long as courage allows me to proceed;
night may come as quickly as frightening thoughts,
but nothing would make my will recede
to a darkness that suppresses the freedom of choice!

When warriors are faced by a threat,
they don't turn back and accept defeat,
no doubt can thwart their plan:
it's either death or glory,
unsurmountable pain or joy;
their ego is hardly broken through dire!
Ah! See them crossing those bridges of wander,
and like me, they rejoice when the battle ends!

Premium Member Melancholy

Mutilated mind constructs the precinct of recluse
Encasing the stifling loneliness of sad prison
Languishes there the surrendered psyche.
Agony unsurmountable relentlessly
Negates the positive perspective of hope
Cauldron of dissonance remote from the rhythm of the outside
Hollowness inside filled with drops of depression in adagio
Obdurately prolonged as untiring mental affliction.
Latent desires are demolished and the malleable mind
Yields to nostalgia, the melancholic remnant of yearning.

Worriers Sink Warriors Shine

Worriers Sink, Warriors Shine
- By Aare Tunde Dawood-Akerele

Let's exempt the death
Worry is for the living
Who has cases to win
Challenges to surmount
Fears to conquer
Aspirations to achieve
Failure to escape,
Success to record.

To worriers, life is hellish
Every issue seems unsurmountable
They easily manufacture excuses
Often soaked in sinking feelings
And anxious about nothingness

To warriors, life is fun
They call problems challenges
Often chase the winning formulas
Not fearful but focused

Warriors fight through the battlefield
Stand gallantly at other bank
Coast home winnings, loots, plunder
And tell the adventure tales of heroic exploit

Before the voyage
Worriers had sunk mentally
Physically in the midstream
Get consumed by anxiety.
Every worrier dies trophyless
