Notes About The Poem

Mountains Be Removed

Mountains be removed

Mountains were meant to be moved
They are much too heavy to carry
You can not wrap a rope around it and drag it with you
Sometimes too tall to look over
You can maybe climb over it, but then you are stuck on the other side
It is said that faith can move a mountain and throw it into the sea
This mountain sometimes blocks my vision
You cannot see through it
It impedes freedom
It stops me dead in my tracks
It is big
It seems unsurmountable
Its like the elephant in the room
Yet it can be moved and crumbled??
piece by piece or all at once!
I pray for the faith…
Of a tiny mustard seed
