Best Till Poems
All I could do was stand and stare
Your actions caught me unaware
I’d got it earmarked all for me
To enjoy with my cup of tea
I arrived in the room – my eyes grew wide
The very last chocolate éclair, it was inside
YOUR mouth
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I bequeath to you my poems,
For words are all I own--
May the images of snow and fall
Bring you comfort when alone.
And I will leave you all of it;
The moonlight on the moor--
As well the quiet, leafy wood,
Or a sunbathed distant shore.
And among the rhyme and imagery;
The metaphor, and theme--
You'll read of rose and morning dew,
Of midnight naps, and dream.
And somewhere in between the lines
The fantasy turns real--
So take these words I proffer you,
And touch, and taste, and feel.
Amazing are the things you'll see,
Like the ivy-covered wall--
Or the icy streams of diamond
And the spill of waterfall.
So enchanting is the moonlight,
So too the autumn breeze--
Oh how I'll miss the butterflies
And the stand of ancient trees.
So precious is the lily pond,
The wildflowers too--
Take comfort in the song of rain
And the pansies playful hue.
How amazing is the hummingbird
In uncertain, frenzied flight--
Reminds me of the dawn and eve
As they argue, day or night.
And in the valley of the glen,
Where stands the steeple church--
There remains a knee-high meadow,
And a lovely stand of birch.
So Immerse yourself in wondering,
Set your spirit to the sky--
Behold as children, puffs of cloud;
The bee and butterfly.
And let your palette taste the wind,
Hear the quiet of the snow--
While delighting in the jasmine;
The sweetest scent I know.
Take my words and nurture them,
Kindly revel in my dream--
And keep alive the buttercup,
As well the mountain stream.
May you sleep the night, and linger;
That my dream may carry on--
Give life to every word and thought
Till the images are gone.
May you celebrate the beauty;
May you open every door--
Till the sun is swallowed by the sea,
And my poems are, no more.

Coffee bean scent still fills the air
with each new sunrise in our log cabin
My arms around me,embrace the winds of winter gone
Every sky-night windowpanes glow in silent mist
Lunar limbs stream through bedroom blinds
reflecting shadows on empty sheets
Star clusters shine above velvet shores
Sand-wish away from my bare toes
Another month,another year,another thought
I can't freeze time or make a clone
First magnolia blooms on a bare branch
Buzzing bees extract nectar from moist corollas
Coloured wings flutter on melting icicles
Sun birds return in a sweet song
But what is a song without a symphony
What is music with no slow dance?
His hand-pressed petal
still marks the chapter between stained pages
The dusty shelves recall my mind
recall my heart,recall my soul
For the last time these eyes would linger
before leaves curl,before buds wither
before moons move on,and I let go.

The day when poem saw the light : 11/08/26
She got it for her wedding gift,
but she dropped it when she fell off the cliff,
it sank to the bottom of the ocean,
and the excitement caused a great commotion.
From dusk till dawn
they float on the ocean,
from dusk till dawn
they were filled with emotions,
sunrise, sunset
and still nothing in their nets.
They went deep sea fishing in a fishing boat,
searching for the pearl in the Bivalvia's throat,
with cracked lips and scorched backs,
they drift around the ocean,
everyone with great devotion.
Suddenly she bursts out in tears,
and explains how it was so dear.
They dived to the bottom of the ocean,
floating back and forth in slow motion,
life at risk from shark attack,
but she did not care about that.
They caught a hundred fish
but still no sign of her priceless gift.
When they went back to land
she saw a clam moving in the sand
she opened the little clam
and her precious pearl fell right into her hand.

Damned frangipani streams of misery
do ripple his heartstrings with injury.
Menagerie of scented memories
infuse his mood with lost love reveries.
Luscious sepals once had held his heart,
her early twilight darkness did impart,
mute mockingbirds in grief no longer sing,
sunset is bleeding last vermilion fling.
Ancestral home on blissful breeze he flies
pellucid prayers and soul ascend pearl skies.

The gloom I feel is gone when you are here
My life takes on the blush of virgin bride
I bloom in love the moment you are near
And strife cannot oppress when by your side
A glory fills the chambers of my heart
The fragrance of affection permeates
Our story God has written from the start
Its cadence sweet is what He orchestrates
No fear has place in love that heaven gives
No pain can wound so deep love cannot heal
For near to paradise Communion lives
I gain its comfort when your love I feel
Your presence in my life is what I crave
Its essence will preserve me till the grave

PS...this is a double rhyme sonnet which was inspired by Andrea's Entry to a contest.
There's this sweet young lassie named Laura
When she visits, l fall down on the floor-a
So excited am I
My heart, it doth fly
Till my wings, they get all quite sore-a

Like the gradual diming of the
sun
I watch as day fades away
Along with my troubles
Watching as the worldly
canvas
Completes its daily painting
Maybe im amazed at the way
Time gives me a break
When the sun seems to burn
too hot
The song of the darkening day
Morphs my ears into those of
a mermaid listening to the
ocean
My fingers Beethoven their
way to my journals
Composing the poetry that lies
be4 my eyes..
The poetry that is the end of a
day..
An end has never been so
beautiful
Like an instrument of God
Moulded to aww my gaze
Moulded to intertwine with my
Inner self and allow me to..
Breathe ..
But ofcoz every dusk has its
dawn..
When the sun rose
The birds could not believe
The miracle of the horizon
Taking away yesterday's pain
Painting a new picture for
nature
To embrace us nd draw us
once again- a new today
I seek no explanation of
The heartaches of yestday
The rain that soiled my
journals
Inking off my thots to nothing
I fear no more the chirping of
the sparrows
My heart levetates with the
hope of another smile-
another laugh- another kiss..
Breaking is normally a painful
thing
But dawn showed me the
healing power of it..
The purity of its virgin birth..
I rise with the sun
Feeling its rays touch my soul
like an angel's halo upon my
gaze.. #deepSigh
Like a lotus flower-
The existence shows its true
rarity
An enigmatic beauty ..
Seen everyday at the break of
dawn.
The beginning and end of
A story
The full stop
And the heading
From dusk till dawn
Even a vampire can never
deny such a miracle.
In the serene nights with starry skies,
With you on my mind, I realize.
Beautiful soul, you're so pristine.
Perfect are you, your love divine.
Oh my dear, you're so adorable.
Each moment with you, unforgettable.
In all our minds, some flaws there are.
Undeniable expectations, all wide and far.
Not even on the west risen day,
Your expectations could I meet someway.
I grieve, I cry, in my heart's uprisings.
Dejection takes control virtue my shortcomings.
My subconsciousness though, in tranquility remains.
Privileged I am, feeling of calmness pertains.
For I've known you, I've loved you, so warm
and deep.
And gratitude for your reciprocation, I do keep.
Name it not, what we have for ourselves.
Why make a bond? When it's us, together it delves.
Let there be spaces yet propinquity.
But I'll be loving you, infinity till eternity.
all stars and planets
inflicted in time till end
Universe's of God
in time we are all
limited bodies in it
span is fixed by Him
They quickly pass, the waning days more brief,
like love once shied beneath a garish moon,
expose the truths betrayed by Autumn's thief.
Infatuation always ends too soon ~
still tethered to the oak, a hopeful leaf...
for Andrea's "Half Past Summer" Contest
I’ve been so many places; traveled down some roads --
Mixed with a thousand faces where the Ganges overflowed.
I've crossed majestic mountains; walked some valleys too --
Tossed coins into fountains, but I never saw them -- till you.
I've traveled endless highways; left countless roads behind --
Walked along some byways that still linger on my mind.
I've come back home from St. Tropaz; walked the beach at Malibu.
I lived awhile in Monterrey, but I never saw them -- till you.
Till you I never saw the sunset on Biscayne.
Till you I never heard a gentle summer rain.
I've stood beneath the tower when Big Ben chimed at noon.
I've whiled away some hours under a great big Texas moon.
I spent some time at Waikiki; roamed the wilds of Timbuktu.
I've sailed on all the seven seas, but I never saw them -- till you.
