stairway to the stars
celestial light beckons me
no puddles overflow with tears
my life’s silent movie
reruns in my mind

not a loved one left behind
those I cherish
wait for me
lingering in paradise

below the Earth loses color
even the pyramids
Eiffel Tower
Broadway lights
fade

to those still confined in the worldly realm
no legacy I leave
just a kiss that carries
rapidly vanishing memories
my final farewell

Stairway To Heaven

Now my tendrilled soul,
Has found its pergola-- Christ--
To wind its way up....

Stairway To Heaven

I'll build a stairway to heavens gate,
Climb the spirals into the great divide.
There your name I'll defiantly state,
I'll wait until they let me come inside.

As I gallop along the streets of gold
Calling your precious name again,
Searching for your bear hug hold,
In my ears your voice a sweet refrain.

I'll search until your silver cloud I find
Until I hear your voice so deep.
Yet again I'll look into your face so kind
Searching for some words to keep.

For the days have been long and cold
Since you left and went away.
Warm embers of love to keep and hold,
Maybe they'll keep the grief at bay.

Still is the night, deep blue as the sea
The moon and I keep a rendezvous
A star reaches out, to light up my way
I won’t be afraid, at the end of the day
Rising before me, is a staircase of crystal
Whispers of angels, are singing a song
As soft music plays, the soft breezes whistle
You call out my name, and lead me along

Tonight is the moment, I’ve waited so long!
Of wishes I’ve held, to see you again

The questions I’ve asked, I know you have heard me
Here and hereafter are just steps apart
Each step brings me closer.. Oh, be still, my heart!

             So soon I’ll have answers!
The place I belong, is waiting for me
All things I have longed for, I’m beginning to see
Reaching out with your hand, your smile reassures me
Stars shine in your eyes, as you wrap me in love

Stairway to Wise Woman Faerie Cottage
I found it when I was eight
Spent many an hour inside
Learning the wizen ways of a sorceress

Wise Woman confided she was looking for a novice
to be trained to replace her when the time came
The time was apparently this week
For the stairway had disappeared for fifty years

Today it is back. I eagerly skip up the steps
Ready to see Wise Woman.
Her flesh is gone, but her spirit is all over the cottage
Reminding me, and teaching me

I am amazed that I remember her magic
And how to produce light and love in others
Wise Woman magic, taught by the queen of the woods,
My new title, whispered quietly among the elves and faeries

My Stairway To Heaven

I wish there was a stairway
to heaven I would go.
I could see you as my angel
with wings all of your own
I'd tell you that I love you
and miss you every day.
My days have felt so empty,
these months seem like a dream.
I wish that I could wake up
and find you here with me.
I miss your loving arms around me,
I miss your comforting words.
You left without any warning,
and we didn't say goodbye.
Some words were left unspoken,
and we both had so much more to say.
If only for one moment
or maybe just one day.
We'd share that cup of coffee
and talk about our day
I'd tell you that I loved you
from daddy's little girl.
My life has changed forever,
I know you know it's true.
I pray that you can see me
and hear my cries of pain.
Please say you'll look down on me
and watch over me as you did.
And know I'll never forget you
or the times that we had shared.
To some you were just Alan
or maybe just a friend.
To me you were my father
that no one can take away.
I pray that we are reunited
in the kingdom up above.
Your strength, your wisdom, your humor..
has made me who I am today.

Stairway To Heaven

I stare upon December's moon,
and wonder why some leave so soon.
When news hits us like shattered glass...
Can we believe what's come to pass?
When we aren't meant to understand...
Then who are we to judge God's plan?
As he sifts through the sands of time...
Was this really by design?
Will we get from here to there,
and know it when we do?
Will we greet our flesh and blood,
and those we never knew?
Remember those that mean the most,
and hear their voices ring.
Then shut your eyes...and listen close,
and you'll hear an angel sing...

Eden's Stairway

Travel
          this garden path
        grown in pixelations
 worldly colors lain before me
              I weep

If only i could share the breathtaking pic this was inspired by... Heaven on earth, AAAHHH
Actually another poet (another site) suggested i use more imagery and blah, blah, blah
This form cinquain leaves not much room for error, so every word has to
be meaningful, (besides it's officially only my 2nd attempt ) i even like the way 'cinquain'
rolls off my tongue, CINQUAIN, cinquian,, Everybody, all together now cinq ... tee-he

Stairway of Music to Heaven

Fragrance of roses and grass dipped dew
Moonlit night  plays a solo of romance;
“I will love you tonight”

With every note struck thunder rages with spirit
off the piano keys, tornado spins out of control
with the crescendo coming to a whisper and the music plays on
as two lovers climb the black and white keys to heaven.

A sense of awe, as emotions of both spirit spin on tiptoes
of each step of the keyboard with love caressing them tightly
as they take each step flowing so elegantly.

Voices tenderly laying their lips on their structure,
blessing them with the song of the heart that says I love you.

Up early in the morning and off to the gym
Determined once again to get myself slim
The place is full of tight butts and flat abs
How long I'll last here is still up for grabs
I sweat through weights and cardio stuff
After about 30 minutes I had quite enough
There's one more machine that has my name
The stair-stepper always put me to shame
I climb to no-where, my legs giving out
I hate this sucker-Id almost rather be stout
Once again I leave feeling quite depressed
People love this stuff? oh surely you jest....

Premium Member Stairway To the Stars

Stars like stalactites, suspended in a sapphire sky
Tremble on a satin tapestry
As I ascend, awe-struck,
Into their icy incandescent light.
Resplendence enwraps me as I
Wend my way through a white-hot
Astral arc,
Yearning for something just beyond my grasp. . . .

Treasures await me.
Of that I am sure.

Tails of argent comets swiftly pass me as I climb new
Heavenly heights in hushed
Expectation.

Surging past the shimmering rings of Saturn, I see in the distance a
Throne of gold set in a taffeta tableau; the stars behind me now
Appear as small glowing asterisks.
Reaching transcendence, I
Sparkle.
