Best Song Star Poems

Premium Member So I May Dream

Let us curry favor in dog star's
splendid laughing light
bring the crash of passion's waves
through two arms held tight.

I carry your wishes in love's
knapsack, strapped close
in tomorrow's hope
fashioned in new dawn's
golden charms.

Bring empathy in touch
understanding where
once was none, gone
in sorrow's parting.

Grant me true sight
unbridled, like a child's
reaching song..
your gleam in smile.

Rein in gallop of
heartbeat hooves
grant me sleep
so I may dream.

Cradle Song

Sleep now! Oh sleep sweet child divine!
Sleep now ‘neath a bright star’s light
Rest now Heaven’s prince!
Dreaming through the night
Angel’s praises sing your lullaby.

How little did we know of love?
Did not see your heavenly plan
Still shepherds come with lambs
Earthly kings and holy hosts
Welcome Jesus, King, on this holy night.

Sleep now! Oh sleep sweet child divine!
Sleep now beneath a star’s delight.
Ordinary night
Touched by Heaven’s grace
Love lights up the skies with Noel praise.

Long this world waited for Love’s return
So stilled now the waiting heart
Lord Emmanuel
Let us sing for joy
Cradle songs for the birth of our Lord.

Sleep now. Oh sleep pure winter’s rose.
Sleep child bathed in starlight glow
Mountains bow low
Peace and Justice kiss
Deserts bloom with flowers of redeeming bliss.

Sleep Jesus sleep!

Premium Member Song of Stars

Shining, shimmering
Laughing across the heavens
Reflecting all the wonder
Found inside the breathless
Whisper of a caress, a kiss
Pleasure that is beyond compare
Joy that lives in the heart who heeds
The song of the stars, rhythmic
Pounding out a tempo, graceful
Beautiful ballad of hope, inspiration
Embracing the night, gentle lights
Singing in waves of pulsing praise
Music so alive it excites, invites
Angels to dance a waltz, reflecting
Stirring, throbbing, twinkling
Lights surviving the echoes, resonating
Melodies flowing, glowing, dazzling
Panting, fatigued by the endless
Striking that survives the tests of time
Pouring out lyrics that abide inside
Where the promise of love cries
Tears sliding past the fears, alive
Dewy wonders brushing away doubts
Gifting the heart with stardust
Sparkles warming even the night
With their halos of gentle light
Enduring radiance, blending graceful
Dreams with enchanting peace
Belief, praise, prayers of faith
Breaking through the song of stars…on a quest, eternally yours!

Virtuoso

Carnelian dawn reflects red sun rising,
Mirrors glow of vermillion flycatchers,
With scarlet plumage, so mesmerizing,
Dawn’s songbirds – virtuoso stature.

Flight song resounds through the still morning mists,
Woodland thickets embrace the day song,
Artists on wings with bright feathers flame kissed
Warble sweet aves on garnet birdsongs.

Vigil for daybreak in tones cinnabar
Matins’ maestros in morning’s sung prayers,
Amber strains from coquelicot popstars,
Lauds for the Daystar ring through newborn airs.

Cloaked in vermillion at evening's first light,
Songbirds wait to sing in red-orange delight.

Snowboarding

Do you
ever feel!?
Upside down
sideways
and bent
backwards?
Snowboarding
down slopes
of discontent
challenging
and
dangerous
With
temperatures
on the
flip side
of minus
 forty degrees
hellbent
 and
freezer burned
pleading
Traversing
the
powdery deeps
With
a slope of
snow rattling
your
bending knees
Freestyle
jumping
turning atop
breezes
while
twisting inside
Thinking
what a ride
While
 in flight
then
 flipping upright
while praying
to land
on a dime
with no
broken bones
in a
Wipeout
Just the
 shattered
 nerves
of an
athletes time
in their
moment
of
free styling
just shining
and stopping
on that
dime

Astral Rain

On the ecliptic of your symphony--

in a fury of verbal commotion,
where the delivery becomes creation...

where a simple sigh becomes emotion.

There is a new melodic resolution
taking on the new delivery.
There are new songs of revolution
since the evolution of MTV.

There is a waterfall of light
that falls like astral rain,
a sight to see in immortal admiration,
you'd love to see again and again.

It's my transcendental opus,
I sure hope that you'll come along...
May your world of fear suddenly disappear--

I really hope you will sing along.

The bow would let out a groan
the big green frog sang baritone
we had great home cooked food
with stars for the best mood
heavenly nights at the lily pad zone

Mr. Cricket the fiddler would play
on the lily pad by the bay
here we made a great friend
friends until the very end
how about another round Jay

Two Encores

Now please don’t think me a bragger,
But, I sung on stage with Mick Jagger.
There we pouted our lips,
and we wiggled those hips.

Two encores and Superstar swagger.

Muse - Unintended Russian Translation By Maryna Tchianova

Muse - Unintended - ??????? ?? ???????/Muse Unintended Russian translation

You could be my unintended
Choice to live my life extended
You could be the one I'll always love
You could be the one who listens to my deepest inquisitions
You could be the one I'll always love

I'll be there as soon as I can
But I'm busy mending broken pieces of the life I had before

First there was the one who challenged
All my dreams and all my balance
She could never be as good as you

You could be my unintended
Choice to live my life extended
You should be the one I'll always love

I'll be there as soon as I can
But I'm busy mending broken pieces of the life I had before

I'll be there as soon as I can
But I'm busy mending broken pieces of the life I had before

Before you...

Ty mogla by byt' moeju
Tak legko i tak sluchajno,
Ja by mog prodolzhit' svoju zhizn',
Ty mogla menja uslyshat'
I stenan'ja, i voprosy,
Ja by mog vsegda tebja ljubit'.

Ja pridu, kogda smogu ja,
No poka chinju pospeshno,
Mir, chto byl razrushen do tebja.

Pervaja vsjo razrushala -
Vse mechty i zvuk garmonij,
Ej ne dotjanut'sja do tebja.

Ty mogla by byt' moeju
Tak legko i tak sluchajno,
Ja by mog prodolzhit' svoju zhizn',
Ty mogla menja uslyshat' -
I stenan'ja, i voprosy,

Twinkle, twinkle little star-
How I wonder if you are.
So many light-years far away,
Are you still out there today?
Did you go nova little star?
How I wonder if you still are.

Premium Member Moon on a Spoon

I
      can fly.
        When you sing,
            it gives me wings.
                      I often wonder,
            while you sing down under
and your voice gives me a lift,
if I might return your sweet gift.
Fetch you the moon on a spoon? I could,
but do you really think I should?
Why not go for something far?
Can I get you a star?
                    but, if you insist,
                   I won't resist.
              Pretty soon,
      the moon -
yours!

Janet (Dedicated To Janet Anderson From Sweden)

There is a blue star, Janet . . .

(from an unknown English poet)

Somewhere is a distant star

called Janet. Why?

One little girl flew there many years ago.

Nobody knew why she did this

or how she flew there.

But one familiar wind told me

about a great love Janet had

for the Little Prince

who lived on the star «B-612».

The famous French writer-pilot,

A. Saint-Exupery,

told about him in his book,

«The Little Prince.»

Janet flew toward the star, B-612,

but lost her way in the galaxy.

So now she is the Princess

of another star.

Her little house is made of flowers.

Many kind animals and beautiful birds

live near her.

The star people love their Princess.

But every evening,

Janet goes to her garden.

She looks at the sky

for a long time.

Janet waits for her beloved Little Prince,

and she believes he must fly to her.

Some day. Maybe.

Premium Member Somerset Blues

Back then she was singing the blues,
In a smaller club where the sunset-
Splashed the walls in various hues,
On a plummy street called Somerset.

I was introduced to her backstage,
In that far away, long ago place,
Before she had become all the rage,
With her jet-setter's renowned face.

Her voice then was as liquid gold,
And eyes reflected the bright lights,
And her song a melancholy tale told,
Of her dream which had taken flight!

All motion in the club would cease,
Anytime the blue lady in red sang
Her beautiful, musical masterpiece,
In a voice which, like bells, rang!

Now, in the still of a pastel dawn,
My memories wander back to Somerset-
Of those happy, sun days quite gone,
And the blues song I cannot forget!

These Are Not Our Stars

(To Vladimir)
-------------------------

There is a star in the sky,

but it is not mine and not yours.

There is another star near it,

also not yours and not mine.

The stars are not necessary to us now,

What we need are many, many tears,

That we cry together

About our lost, beloved son.
