Best Sinner Poems
Well, my momma -bless her soul - she brought me up good.
She taught me all she knew and she taught me what she should,
She took me to a church and she made me knock on wood.
Still, Honey, I’m a half-baked sinner.
‘Cause I’m sittin’ here and thinkin’ that you’re look’in mighty fine.
You set my heart to pound’in and I’d like to make you mine.
But I’m such a careful gal though I walk a thin line,
Yeah, Honey, I’m a half-baked sinner.
Chorus:
Oh, a half-baked sinner; that’s all I am.
Stuck here in the middle of “Nowhere Land.”
A half-baked sinner, I’m God’s little joke,
but I still have my spirit ‘cause I’m only half-broke!
Well, I’m contemplatin’ things with you I’m not supposed to do.
If I’m halfway to Hell, they’ll put me all the way through!
But I’m only HALF-stupid - unlucky for you!
Yes, Honey, I’m a half-baked sinner.
Yes, I know you’ve got your pride, but listen, so do I.
I might not tell the truth, but I sure don’t tell no lie!
And I never will give in, for if you ask me why,
It’s because I’m just a half-baked sinner.
Repeat Chorus:
Oh, a half-baked sinner; that’s all I am.
Stuck here in the middle of “Nowhere Land.”
A half-baked sinner, I’m God’s little joke
but I still have my spirit ‘cause I’m only half-broke!

I’m a simple sinner
Saved by God’s grace
I’m not always a winner
In the righteousness race
I’m a simple sinner
Who reaches toward the light
More like a beginner
Than one who is in a fight
I’m a simple sinner
Filled with love from above
God’s living quiver
Who knows more about love
I’m a simple sinner
One who knows I’m wrong
I don’t let it make me bitter
But pray it makes me strong
I’m a simple sinner
Alive with the living word
I’m definitely no quitter
From the Savior, I’ve heard
I’m a simple sinner
Willing to go to any lengths
In order to be a true giver
Of all that God grants me in strengths
I’m a simple sinner
Who welcomes God’s inspiration
From others I may differ
In my love for God’s creation
My halo has small crack that no one else can see...
Its my little secret that stays below and never shall fly free...
I hold a door and tip my hat ,but an angel that's not me...
If I pull out a chair or give up my seat its what I want to be...
Saints and sinners I sit between like a branch in a tree...
I'll do best and not to shake the fruit or take a bite from Eve...
Sinner Or an Offender
Even if a sinner or an offender,
True love is sure to be tender;
Never avoid,
And enjoyed;
God is great with His splendor.

Keep pressing on
And looking up
M.A.G.A. is wrong
And Star struck
Lead the way with
Amazing grace
Heroine despite
All the hate
Refuse to lose
Remember you are a winner
It’s time to choose to be a
Saint despite the sinner
Oh, the Vespers!
The day is coming to a close.
And the Scriptures!
Can words our sins dispose?
And the Evening,
With my head so lowly bowed.
Those Bible Proverbs.
Will they clear away the cloud?
I've been knocking all night long,
But the Church's door is closed.
I look through a crystal window.
I see the followers reposed.
I knock twice on the door,
Hoping for an invitation.
I only hear voices singing-
Singing "Jesus is Salvation".
I am knocking.
Please let a sinner in.
I knock louder,
And start prayful meditation.
The door opens,
But I see no people there.
Only a Bible on a pulpit
And the message becomes clear.
Random moments drip liquid chronicles through my mind. In still moments, there are quiet images, bold and brilliant, baking their shadows into my dreams. I’m in a sea of brokenness, feeding on sins I once lived with, branded by burdens I can’t speak of. Illusions whisper dark and dismal songs that shame and disgrace, humiliating me so that I can’t see the hope for the hopelessness as it bleeds its negativity into my dreams, haunting me and depressing the waters of faith that wants me to believe, just believe. While the soundless waters wash over me, cleansing me of the light that longs to penetrate my needs, embrace me with its magnificence, create in me – assurance that this too shall pass. Yes. Nothing this broken will last. The rocky seas will return to their soothing, healing, blessing. Time will encourage me to see past the past where I was once so empty of reason and remind me to see into the present where Jesus is slowly erasing every trace of the blackness that tries to darken my mind with a self-destructive imagination.
reflections of grace,
bonds are broken, doors opened,
by His warm embrace
Once at church I started the children’s chat by saying I am a sinner.
The whole church started clapping.
I was so startled, I forgot my lesson.
To cover up this fact I started saying all the things I had ever done to sin.
The congregation got extremely quiet.
Apparently being a sinner is okay but revealing all the ways you are one is not okay.
It was a fun church, full of party animal people.
They loved me.
I loved them but I never fully went back to the same person
Because now they saw me in a different light.
After a while I stopped going
to that church
for I had revealed
way too much….
The difference between sinner and saint lies
somewhere between the difference between
Earth and sky. I don’t know why
It’s so difficult to distinguish between the two
when there’s so many shades of baby blue
and all one has to do is breathe free
clean air while standing on the ground looking
up at all that oxygen floating ‘round
originating in flowers, plants and trees
everyone can see that
even while our feet are planted
solidly on good dirt it doesn’t hurt to
let your mind wander awhile while
your heart pumps all that sweet red blood through
your vitriolic veins carrying all those molecules sucked in
so we don’t faint which is why it’s so difficult
to separate earth from sky and
sinner from saint.
His name fills us with fright;
We won't forget his crime;
We can't forgive him this time;
We distrust him day and night.
We view him with disgust
We hold him in contempt
He did something unjust.
He quartered a bee.
Incorrigible sinner!
His hunger does not move us;
May his body grow thinner!
He quartered a bee.
What this man did is not fair;
This libidinous blackguard
deserves the electric chair.
He quartered a bee.
Childish, menefreghista,
and conceited. It irks us
that such a maggot exists.
He quartered a bee.
We well knew: If he carvest
a bee, he will not be free.
He could've been smartest.
He quartered a bee.
He's not the person you want to be.
He quartered a bee.

Sinner or Saint
==========
We all sin and we are sinners
We are saints upon God’s Grace, the Giver
The way of the cross, God and man entwine
To err is human, to forgive divine
Blind we are, and can’t see the truth
Pretender wins the trust of youth
A deaf to good news, unable to decline
To err is human, to forgive divine
Great mind leads us into the system
Worldwide, the weak flow to its streams
In the lowness of spirit, wrongful is enshrine
To err is human, to forgive divine
Saints we are, since purified, still a whiner
For Jesus did not come for the righteous, but sinners
We are sinners and saints and that shall remain
To err is human, to forgive divine

Having Loved much
And thrown myself into that
Nameless quest
My secret sinner
With laughter as an equal
Laughter I never knew
I feel your presence in my heart
That brings comfort
And excitement in my mind
My head and heart
Are running in circles
What had been yesterday
Still is today
You opened the windows to my soul
You are the closest I could feel
When I long only what is known
By the Soul....
'The Guest of a Sinner'
“The Guest of a Sinner”
The guest of a sinner
climbing heights to
righteousness
away from titles
above the crowd,
and
unrealistic expectations
solely to meet with God
in flesh and bone
spirit and soul
I, invite the divine
to sit and dine
look me over flaws
and sin
with prayer that
God hears and
mends me from
within
Try as I might,
to pay it forward
my
tithes for sin
unbalanced scales
eyes to heart
knocking and
seeking seven fold
every door
just to get in
peering into the dark
feeble attempts to
glimpse at the light
egos do blind and
bind sight eight times
throughout the night
hem and garment
a
guesthouse deemed
worthy by name
like Zahchias in
tree tops
yearn for salvation’s
service
the guest in
a sinner’s house
the spirit must
eat
life after death
while looking east
of Eden into
the new Jerusalem
my impression
of improvement
in imperfect
temples
the guest of a sinner
that all things be
made complete.
