The Difference Between Sinner and Saint

The difference between sinner and saint lies
somewhere between the difference between
Earth and sky. I don’t know why
It’s so difficult to distinguish between the two
when there’s so many shades of baby blue
and all one has to do is breathe free
clean air while standing on the ground looking
up at all that oxygen floating ‘round
originating in flowers, plants and trees
everyone can see that
even while our feet are planted
solidly on good dirt it doesn’t hurt to
let your mind wander awhile while
your heart pumps all that sweet red blood through
your vitriolic veins carrying all those molecules sucked in
so we don’t faint which is why it’s so difficult
to separate earth from sky and
sinner from saint.

What to do terry if one is both sinner and saint? On any given day I can be either and find it a real test to walk the straight and narrow so I guess many of us fit into those wise last lines you wrote. You haven't lost the magic! Love, Lizzie

An interesting and thought provoking little rhyme you've penned there Delysia. If it's yours - you should expand on it in a longer piece of poetry. Thanks for stopping by and o by the way...LOVELY photo ma dear!

o, truths and lies are both the same mechanisms for our game and false and true are too alike to entertain us through this hike and likewise good and bad are planned to stroll together hand in hand as is our wont to disagree and find the morbid depths of glee for what we'd do of erstwhile talk debating god and ape and stork and furthermore our poetry may yet be swinging in a tree i can see why Delysia rates you so highly, TM. you've got the rhythm, great stuff! regards, eph.
