The Adventures of Jim the Trim - In An Islet

Jim, now rich, bought a wee li’l islet;
there he lived, with ten men and a starlet.
Changed his partner each day,
heaved and huffed till they say,
the islet is now, the town named Scarlet.

---------------------------------------------

The story's not over, he's not decadent.
Send away the men, he just simply can’t;
they built the town housing,
the roads and some building
for starlet Scarlet, whom the islet was meant.

Premium Member Mother Said

mother said that I was her angel
she surrounded me always with her love and warmth
and since her death I have been empty
there are days when I am angry

with my mother I could share each secret
every nightmare dreamt
she would help me solve a problem
and send away each monster

now, my heart has been pierced
and on my soul are forever bleeding wounds
there are days my misery comes to engulf
oh, what I would do for one more glimpse

of all things mother said not a single one was false
her wise words to me were the best amongst
all others ... she had a wisdom and depth
and now, that I have lost mother ... I have nothing

If I Could Split Myself In Two

If I could split myself in two
One half of me I'd give to you,
The other half I'd send away
To be with her like yesterday.
Though it sounds harsh, this I would do
If I could split myself in two.

If I could split myself in two
One half for her, one half for you.
The half for her would win her back
To heal my heart and mend the crack,
To fix me up, made good as new
If I could split myself in two.

If I could split myself in two
The other half would stay with you.
While one half fixes years of tears
The Half with you would have no fears,
Would be devoted, strong and true
If I could split myself in two.

But I am not two, I'm just one man
So I'll swear to love you all I can
If you will take me cracks and all,
Be there to lift me when I fall,
I'll dedicate my life to you
And no longer wish myself in two.

~The Fallen Star~
(Free Verse)

I can't still believe that millions have fallen and fall for all those lies,
Yes, I am very aware that Satan's ways and bag of tricks, are too many, just to count
He's the greatest liar and traitor that ever has lived and sin has produced
Once, he'd it all but for greed and pride he betrayed his own Creator God

Satan never stops deceiving us all, I can tell you that
He's always on the move, roaming around the whole earth,
Seeking new souls to pervert and steer them stray and send away
Forever and ever from the Glorious Kingdom of God and its Creator

He accuse us all in front of God and sneers at us laughing when we sin
Satan is the great deceiver, hate us all and we should always send him away
When he tempted us he just knows how to push our buttons in the right way
This angel of perdition gives us the world but in the end we may lose our very souls

Satan's ways are just too much to pay for, what's the use of having it all here, if we lose our precious soul and eternity
In God's glorious kingdom that's Heaven, for you see, Satan the great deceiver of all, already knows that God has won!

Premium Member Making the Grade

Any and all Men,
if you are within sight of this poem
or the sound of my voice.
When you get home tonight, please be polite.
It is not my intention to start a fight.
But ask your lover based on your sexual
performance to date.
what grade from an A to F do you rate?
Making the grade
For some men, getting laid is already hard.
But what if ladies, men had to show a report card.
Let’s say the Law requires any man you meet,
for the first time.
Married or single, deaf dumb and blind.
Must show you his report card.
How many would have an A.
How many would you send away.
Most men if you ask them think they’re at least a B.
So, to me it is plain to see,
from cheerleader to truck driver most if not all women,
are always an A+
Not just their cup sizes or plus sizes.
Not talking about Big Beautiful women,
the one's with more cushion for the pushing. (I like them too.)
Not talking about the tall and sexy
Amazon's with more butt than Breast.
(The one's you like to watch undress)
I'm talking about women who make love.
Women who can perform above and beyond the norm.
Women you want to be stuck with in a snow storm.
Like they graduated from the Sex education academy.
But no! This is... about men, men with a in God we trust A+
A man's ability to keep a woman happy
will reflect on his report card.
It can't be that hard, but in case it is.
It would be against the law for men to trade,
fake or falsify their report cards.
This is breaking the golden rule.
If caught he will be sent back to
Sex Education school.

Green Island

I am still walking, walking, walking…
And I don’t know where to.
I’m trusting you and I am hoping
To get this icy road through.
I am still walking, walking, walking…

I am still walking, walking, walking…
And in the light of all events
With every day I am still hoping
Have no enemies but friends.
I am still walking, walking, walking…

My land can be that far away,
There is Green Island in the ocean.
I will spread out sadness potion
And I am sure, with great delight,
I’ll send away my sorrow life
And we’ll be back to you alive…

"Imagine a lovely garden, tea for two and this story"....A Rambling Poet

Just nine years old but she had a dream
of serving others, of doing good.
Adults were failing, but this young girl
decided to do everything she could.

Her birthday was coming, she had a plan.
She asked her mama, who soon agreed.
No gifts wanted by birthday girl,
but rather money for world in need.

She’d heard of the children in Africa
with no fresh water to cool their thirst.
She wanted to cure all of their ills
and need for water would be the first.

Three hundred dollars she set as a goal,
which she almost reached by her birthday.
She didn’t give up, she would find the rest.
She must have three hundred to send away.

There are other children who’ve done the same,
given up their gifts for the water cause,
but Rachel’s story is quite unique
which I’ll tell you now, but I must pause

To steady my hands to pour the tea
and to wipe away this unwanted tear.
More of her story I’ll tell you now.
New twists and turns will soon appear.

Rachel was traveling with her mom,
on some good deed, I have no doubt.
A car pile up and a child was hurt.
That ‘s what this tale is all about.

Rachel died, but ere she did
she begged her mommy to finish her dream,
to get the money to Africa,
so they needn’t drink from polluted stream.

Over a million dollars raised
by tender souls who have heard her plea.
The money just keeps pouring in
from simple folks like you and me.

“A little child shall lead them”.
Dear, sweet Rachel was one of those.
She put the needs of others above
desire for birthday toys and clothes.

The Night Keeps Falling Into the Stars... (Feeling Down)

The night keeps falling into the stars
And the dampness drags on the grass
Somewhere there is music and laughter
False and foreign, they falter

I wish to look nowhere
Casting my eyes adrift
To throw out all worldly cares,
With no memories to sift

Ask me to lay my life to waste
To do nothing in haste
Send away all the familiar faces.
Go back two or three paces

Until I can believe again
Let my soul just be a stain
Or another sad song's refrain.
Let me be alone in the rain

When the heaviness in my heart
Tips the scale in too much pain
I'll brave myself to pull out the dart,
And watch the month's moon wane.

From Darkness Into Light

A dark and evil creature
Pursued a man today.
He tried to run,
He tried to hide,
But the darkness followed him.

He ran down the street,
And around the corner.
He ran up the stairs
And through the door,
Yet the darkness followed still

He shut his doors,
Turned on his lights,
And tried to find some peace;
But even in his lighted house,
The darkness still was there.

“Oh, foul creature,
What can you be,
And why do you pursue?”
For a moment, silence reigned,
Then the darkness answered him.

“I am your sin,
Your dirty deeds,
The things you try to hide.
Your sin cursed soul, is what I am,
The darkness within you.

There’s a price to be paid
For this lack of light.
Eternal fire, torment, and pain
Is the price that you must pay
For this darkness inside you.”

“Oh woe is me!”
The man then cried.
“Your price is much too high!
Is there no other way to pay?”
But the darkness in silence remained.

A knock at his door
Pierced his despair,
And he trudged to it to answer.
There stood a man with a smiling face
For no darkness followed him.

The stranger at the door said,
“I can see,
That you are in despair.
What troubles you?” and the man replied,
“That darkness over there.

He says, I’m doomed,
To eternal fire,
And doomed to eternal pain.
Do you know a way for me to escape
That darkness over there?”

“A man named Jesus,”
The stranger replied,
“The Son of God once came.
He shed His perfect, precious blood,
That darkness to send away.

The price for sin
Was paid in full when
He died and rose again.
His sinless blood can wash away
That darkness deep within.

This gift of love
Is free for all,
It gives eternal life.
Beautiful Heaven can be your home,
A place that darkness cannot go.”

“What must I do?”
The man then asked,
“So this gift I can receive?”
“Call unto God, acknowledge your sin,
Your darkness then confess,

And accept His gift
Of eternal life,
Eternal death forsake.
His blood will cover all your sins,
And the darkness then will fade”

“Oh, God,” the man prayed,
“I accept your gift,
Please wash away my sins.
Come into my heart and lead me today,
From darkness into light.

Mercy Sought, Justice Sadly Given!

The scent of your spirit announced your love nightly
a whisper of sweetness with a hint of sexiness lightly
No visual needs to precede your comforting lovely gift
just a kind word from you gently my heart uplifts

Those beautiful nights that gave we our precious all
should have never led to such a blue and tragic fall
Lay the mistake upon my arrogance and stubborn pride
I foolishly sought your breath taking beauty to hide!

Jealousy is a vicious and dark angel sent to take away
love true and the sweetness of happiness the live long day!
I sought precious time to amend my silly and unhappy mistake
as you sailed across forever high upon the "no forgiveness lake"!

Now I live in a dark pit filled with a lost and lovely dream
as another enjoys your nights and makes your sexy love steam
Is there no reprieve from this unearthly hell I arrogantly made?
from a stupid hand of romantic deceit I like a fool played?

As I seek a gentle mercy that I know I do not truly deserve
grant this one sweet mercy and your love I forever serve!
Send away my sincere and repentant request will doom my life
As I seek love's forgiveness and your hand as my beautiful wife!

Rewritten from memory of a letter I onced sent to a fine beautiful
lady just too damn good for the extremely wild young fool I once was!
Original composition was well over 30 years ago.
Destroyed by a jealous lover many years later!!
This offering is very close but sadly time's erosion has not allowed
me to recreate it perfectly now.
That brilliant lady rightly refused to forgive me my trespass!
As I look back I see her wisdom.....

Gone

She was here
And then she wasn't
But it wasn't until she left
That it hit

The emptiness
Filling
Consuming
Everything
With her absence

But it would be selfish
To whisk her back here
To send away our sadness

Another Good-Bye Lord

From the time of my youth you have given me people only to take them away.
Leaving me feeling lost and abandoned, like an orphan left all alone.
Just once Lord I would like to be able to know that this one won’t walk out on me.
Or that one won’t be called home to stand before your throne.

I just don’t understand why this keeps happening!
Was it something I did? That I didn’t do?
I thought I was good enough Lord.
Please tell me as I haven’t a clue!

Lost one to drugs, not dead but dead to me.
The first one to cancer Lord and then the other?!
Just when I think it won’t happen again…
You send away another!

Yes, I am angry Lord!
I know you can see….
The tears streaming down my face;
When you take loved ones away from me.

I know there is a reason…
I was raised to believe!
It all works together for the good of those that love You Lord.
There is still hope. Even when they leave.

So, first I’ll say I’m sorry for ever doubting you.
Then I’ll go on waiting for that day to arrive;
With the sound of the trumpet, in a twinkling of the eye
When I know everything is perfect and everyone is alive!

Watching Your Lover Sleep

What's that radiating off of you?
an innocence worth dying for?
a solution to the modern bore?
I haven't got the slightest clue
yet you say you've got the cure?
which disease have I given over to?
I guess I'm not so sure
Through measures of practicality
you send away the banality
rummaging through all my drawers
kicking down all my doors
How do you alter my reality?
oh please, I've got the need for more
I refuse to feign spirtuality
even in the face of war.
