There is no difference,
the saints whisper and every enemy and ally
wake to forever’s difference,
that neither knee nor tongue will deny.

Doubt bit into Innocence and sold
the first coffins wrapped in pride.
Creation became a seed – a box filled twofold,
when under silt, Eden died.

Secular tides engulf their last season
to bury God and Baal,
synthetic rainbows enlighten treason
fulfills the fool’s tale.

Escape suffering to bend
love to an abstract sum.
Detached absurdity when
a false bliss is done.

Not enough of Earth’s blood
to sustain paved veins,
a technological flood
of isotopes and labor pains.

Fiat economies root for
the drug and gun,
made the bomb’s core
hotter than the sun.

infusions of contraband’s revenue
numbs the inconvenience of sin.
A dream’s fence became headstones ensue,
declared wars we can’t afford to win.

Seeded skies less blue to breathe,
the incense of death and device,
ivory towers babel and seethe,
lies spoil the last grains of paradise.

One rich man though licked by the flame,
still sees Lazarus as a servant and to those
who tear Christ off the Cross to make him the same,
Judas still hangs in the shadows.

Premium Member The I Love You Conversation

"What do you know of love?" I seethe....
a well of passion longing to be freed
"I love you," the words I finally breathe
and think you'll know this burning need

"It's not enough," you say.
"Find another way...
say...say it differently
This, 'I love you' means
nothing to me.
Let the words break through
the mold of meaning
and be born anew
make me understand....
this...'I love you'
What does it mean to you?
I've heard it before, you see
and then after some time
I was shown out the door
Say....say it to me....differently."

"I know its overused and abused," I scream....
"but not by me...never by me!
How can I make you see?
bordering on the cliche..
What can I say?
Nothing will do!
nothing's good enough...
good enough for you!"

So I slash my breast
my heart bleeds through
in crimson warmth
I cradle you
I bath you in my salty tears
and let you in
to cloistered dreams
I let my body say it right
in liquid letters in the night
then wake you with a gentle kiss
and wrap you in
delirious bliss
each day: a testament that's true
of thousand different 'I love yous'

"So tell me now
Why you can't see
the truth that these words
mean to me?

Should you still think
these words are weak
then hear my heart
and let it speak."

Premium Member In Anger Tinged With Pain

make love to me in anger tinged with pain
for death is lurking near my soul to reap
the world is closing in, I can't keep sane
at time of death these thoughts alone I'll keep

of right to live my life, they will deprive
a darkness drenched in doom enshrouds my mind
make love to me and let me feel alive
there in your arms is where I solace find

Make love to me in frenzy's maddened pace
my body ravage now to match my soul
sear all from eyes except your angel face
Make love to me and try to make me whole

For death will come with lightening speed I know
What is this life? My thoughts are left to seethe
Rebellion pumps my heart and makes blood flow
make me forget the need to even breathe

Make love to me and let me die tonight
my final taste of life, let it be love
and should I meet with death by morning light
let starlight eyes then take me up above

Make Love to Me....

Eileen

There is no coping mechanism...
there is only fear....anger...and a desire to live.

Kingdom of Ruin

Rising from the desert sand
was a shimmering mirage
of a thousand shouts
	Heated winds of fanaticism,
	intense and blowing violently loud
Shrill calls to blood prayer seethe,
breathing fiery invocations
of a perverted philosophy
Screaming death to the infidels —
a scarlet smeared mirror reflecting
black cloth covered savagery
Crimson prayers are the daubed untempered mortar
which cements the foundation of this shakily rising kingdom
Whet the glittering scimitar swung grisly:
	Beheadings are the blade’s
	propaganda recruitment shock TV
Desert crisis ... dreaded carrion claws of ISIS,
oasis mirage bathe the sociopaths in bloody bliss
Mutilated bodies floating upon the desert sea,
a raised dark flag boasts of a fleeting victory
Prideful utterances of unspeakable barbarity
	Contemned caliphate mercurial rising ...
now descending quickly below the horizon
Crumbling desert kingdom,
butchery sow the seeds of your ruin
The sand castle rise to power was ever so brief,
a pirated religion kingdom soon to end suddenly
Taking hostage your own faith,
now the proselyte guards are
fleeing from the palace carnage
	Crumbling desert kingdom,
butchery sow the seeds of your ruin
Innocent blood spilled in the sand
will be your caliphate’s undoing
	Crumbling desert kingdom,
blood reap the harvest of your ruin
Let your prophets of terror and rage
shout a false sanctum call to prayer
Intoning not this one truth: God will surely repay!

Premium Member My Guitar

With burdens bearing heavy down a road that’s hard and long
My body’s bent and weary so I’m reaching for a song;
My sorrows flicker – fading ..., faint ... - beneath the morning star,
While worried fingers seethe across the strings of my guitar.

Though seagulls fly forever, streaking, striving for the strand,
My troubles ebb, evaporate, with my guitar in hand;
Their turbulency’s writhing neath the notes within the air -
And hunted by the haunting beat, they’re vanquished everywhere.

With melodies erupting, bursting, splashing night with dawn,
The drifting dancing demons die, as time goes swirling on;
Refrains are roaming randomly across the rusty skies,
While cares have vanished, draped in dust of distant lullabies.

Premium Member Secrets of the Sea

When moonbeams dance upon the placid sea;
When billowing waves seethe endlessly;
I ponder what secrets the sea might yield,
Should its ageless mysteries be revealed!

Are there unknown monsters lurking in the deep?
Might it divulge where ancient mariners sleep?
Where rest fleets of sailing ships with holds of gold?
Are there seething volcanoes, disasters waiting to unfold?

Where lie armadas sunk in conflict due to mankind's folly,
Sunk in mighty battles with cannons' fearsome volley?
Although the inscrutable sea will not confide in me,
I can still meditate upon closely held secrets of the sea!

Premium Member The Curtain of Pain Fell Upon Us

While snowflakes continue to fall,
upon a night pale as ghostly winter
I falter from my own distraught pause--
the hazy moon watches my young girl
a serene angel laying in starshine, on a bed
frigid cold with her tiny body
wrapped in fine linen and pink bonnet:
I could still recall her pupils tightening,
while through glimpses silent, my own mouth
utters, ' fight, my dear one, fight!'

Yet, her last gasp escapes a frozen outline,
those eyes blinking restlessly up high
as my fallen gazes droop at her gaunt form --
How this heart cleaves till screams rack
my own body with convulsive, inconsolable
anguish: this route to a thievish doom
makes me seethe, slam, screech at life
for my child's unborn dreams ...never to fly, ever.
It rains and a mantle of tears drown
upon her skin, my face in endless whys--
as I howl with night birds for the villainy of time.

As We Stroll Along Lanes Of Truth, Lies Or Convenient Illusions

But if truth and light grace your soul
And a wisdom shields heart and mind,
You may in life hope for the best
As we stroll along lanes of truth, lies or convenient illusions
And either we come to know or not know
That to this dark world- we are less than nothing.
O truth! Does life and love gift all we need
As that gaze from stars crying while looking down
We then, that are not born of eternal seeds
Wade through this ever changing realm
Mired in the darkness which patiently lies, waiting within!

In love we think we are flowers blooming forever
In gardens devoid of decay
Yet invisible beyond that veil
Are powers that seethe in anger
Things that seek to destroy, and eat us alive.
Such foreboding exists, as does ground beneath bare and roaming feet
Although in blindness we see only with limited sight we have
Prone to seek peace, love and beauty,
We conjure up fantasies and dreams
Illusions that quell our deep and internal fears!

Ah, gone are days of the magical gods
They which could be insured to take the blame
Those that set us into perils, into savage wars
In our ignorance we saw- the gods played and wreaked havoc
As we, heaped upon this world mysterious gifts of darkness
And paraded forth as if living was a mere game
A thing which we mastered, a monster we truly controlled.

And in that deception we saw imagined gods that we had conquered
And we imagined the Gods that we had become-through our magnificent being!

Premium Member A Christmas Carol

Oh the Ghosts, Oh the Ghosts!!!
The Ghosts of Christmas shall haunt the wicked
They shall haunt the bitter and sorrowful decrepit creatures
Your hunched back and wallet will be no shield
For the three ghosts of the Christmas past

I Sir am the ghost of the Christmas past
Fear not I shall do yee no harm
That, you have already done upon your own wicked soul
Yes, that is you, as a young man, full of piss and vinegar as they say
Oh I know, you young ones then called it love, sore sight that was

I sir am the ghost of the Christmas present
Fear not, the bitter cause their own harm, not I for sure
They seethe within their own discontent and folly
The chains you hear old scrooge, are not mine
They are the irons that chain your heart to the wheel of wealth

I sir am the ghost of Christmas future
Fear not, for there is hope for all mankind
Even you, who counts coins like lovers count kisses
When you wake, you shall remember not, all these wise illusionary dreams
Old scrooge, the gift of mercy shall bestow a last grasp at happiness, take yee hold!!!

The most festive of December days, the sun rose in the cold brisk air
Scrooge awoke, and the inexplicable sound of laughter filled his dreary bedroom
Pure unadulterated joy from the grumpiest of old men
The maid fled in fear, what insanity must have possessed this bitter old lard
Ah but happiness was indeed in the air

On with his topcoat and hat, nary a moment to ponder
Of he went to his secretary’s house
Carol, Carol !!!! He exclaimed, yes, I am not mad not crazy nor insane, open the door!
Possessed maybe, but only of joy, that I, the one so filled with animosity
Now I see, by the grace of the god, the love before my very eyes!!!

Well Carol and Scrooge passed a very Merry Christmas indeed!!!!!

Notes: This take of “A Christmas Carol” is from fond memories as a child, when our Dad “made” us watch this movie over the years! Blessed are those with such fond childhood memories of Christmas!

Premium Member Bronzing of Trees

Silhouette of trees dressed in chiffon prints
Oaks, pines, maples tossing their hair
I trail along their rumba curve
way down to where glazed bushes nestle.
Above roasted sail of Laguna River
crossing a moat...today, foliage begins to seethe
on flamed leaves amidst summer’s embrace,
as more timber follow a float
where mauve petals kiss the air.

The bronzing of glens and wheezing of mist
reach a coaled ember of summer fire,
cluster of moments drapes veined trunk
with sniff of earthy scent, reminding me
how lush the branches swell against heat
of August ‘s coals when two pairs of arms
brush the stars with paint of reveries.
Warm the meeting of palms fondling the barks
In a dizzy sketch of romance, and then,
Like a curl of ambrosial boughs in rumba dips,

Trees hold passion’s charade, until...

If I were a dragon, burning old bridges
with the fire that I breathe,
I would perform tricks, from way up high,
and eternally seethe,
lend a daring claw for those in need.

If I were a dragon, I wouldn't cause mayhem
upon the people.
Although I'm sure I'd be tempted for those
sovereigns high on their steeple,
not the matador, but the bull.

If I were a dragon, beautiful
and so meticulously preen,
the world would give me the dunce cap,
every crawling thing would be so mean,
provoking me to intervene.

If I were a dragon, burning old bridges
with the fire that I breathe,
I'd hide my great bulk in the darkest cave,
my claws would be always sheathed,
and forevermore I would grieve.

Labored breaths echo throughout the bolted space.
A doom sensation overtakes the place of solace.
Her eyes scan for any exit.
Light scrambles through a cracked door.
A window glows, ajar.
Too far away for the taking, her body immobilizes.
She strives to breathe... even that threatens to cease.
Silent screams gasp for life,
as if trying to turn a door with breath.
A wave of wet beads seethe from her skin,
like lakes between boulders.
Her shoulders rise like hefty mountain weights
summoned to a stomach of scrambled sand.
In a kaleidoscopic instant, from the perceived exit,
enters a tuxedo hero, donning sporty socks,
flaunting a solid strut.
Up, he jumps upon her lap, like
the reward of a clapping audience.
His constant fur coat would be a king's boast.
Like melted butter on toast, he spreads his warmth.
A reverberating purr becomes the mender of broken emotions.
Hyperventilation fades to mimic his oceanic vibes.

Premium Member Dreary Dark Days Contest Collaboration Celebration

Dark days end slowly before the light,
And shield a heart from love's flame, once warm.
To live in darkness, an eternal fight,
And shiver in the cold silence of its storm.

As shadows surround, start to confine,
Time moves without notice or understanding.
Black becomes the color of the soul's design,
Dreary the emotions, now demanding.

How long, before the sun begins to rise?
To shine on heart's shadows, growing small.
To chase dark days, unmask their disguise.
Rip away this dark, dark, covering shawl.

Trapped in this world of which I'm concerned.
Passing in darkness, time ever slowing.
Lost in rooms dark, where I've always returned,
Until the depth of my despair stops growing.

Touching each wall, hoping to find light.
Once more pain, I can't stand, can't breathe.
Darkness dwells deep into a seamless night.
A wound, continuing to seep through, Depression seethe.

Unbearable, I can't eat, can't sleep.
Again, I question the sun, how long must I wait?
Drowning under my tears dark and steep,
Torture becomes solid, enclosing fate.

Dark days, lounge every moving vibe within.
Burning and grooming self-pity and doubt.
Darkness betrays, portraying to be kin.
The only one who knows me, in and out.

Silent Screams

All these things that happened..playing ever so clear in my head.
They are my secrets to take with me, until the day that I am dead.

Too scared to tell anyone, suffocating me so I can't breathe.
Alone I face the darkness, bottling up every emotion because they only make me seethe.

People may read this, some confused but still those who know what it means.
This is the best way I can put it, these are my silent screams.

Everything comes crashing down on you..Why at such a cost?
You took my happiness from me, innocence once held to be forever lost.

It's so easy to say it never happened, everything felt behind a mask.
Blocking it is never permanent, the pain will always last.

It just couldn't stop at one bad thing, you pray the pain in your soul is numbing, just to have more trauma you never saw coming.

I can never escape it.. the sound of those silent screams.
They stay with me wherever I go, they even haunt my dreams.

I know what you are thinking, this is never something you want to see.
But some of us have terrifying secrets, that are ours alone to keep.

The people who will get this will know what these words mean.
Reading between the lines is easier than it may seem.

This story is heartbreaking to write. It's painful, sad and true..but these bad things happened to me and I pray they never happen to you.

I do not seek sympathy. These are just words left unspoken. I am not completely torn...I am just beautifully broken.
