Best Screw Up Poems

Premium Member A Father's Legacy

You grew up going from place to place.
Folk thought you wouldn't amount to a thing.
You were a wander til you heard love calling.
Your life changed on that extraordinary day.
Because your wayward position in life was no more.
You taught me how to recognize true love,
You showed how much I was loved.
You taught me how to ride my first bike.
You showed me how to work hard.
You showed me how to put love into what I did
You showed me how to be proud just being me.
You thought you didn't have purpose or a legacy,
Because you grew up in the foster system.
Boy were you wrong, everything I am is “You”
Many thought you were nothing but a screw up
Boy you proved them all wrong( including you).
Me and my kid was your purpose and legacy,
You were my daddy and an incredible man.

Dedicated to all the incredible fathers everywhere

Premium Member I Love You

I wonder why
It's always so strange
                               to say
    and not just strange
but almost a gulp and a choke
               even at a letter's close?
Just 'love' is not so hard
It's the YOU
"I (gulp choke!) love YOU"
There!
I can say it silently in my mind
      but! face to face
                                or
          over the phone?
Gulp!
Choke!
YOU is so personal
Like inserting your tongue when kissing good night
Like accidentally brushing
                                     her leg
                                            under the table
"I love YOU" starts all sorts of mild even WILD ideas forming
Face it
I am demented
DERANGED!
With some it drops off the tongue
                        as easily as saying "Hi"
I wonder though?
What's back of those eyes
When his wife says to me
                                 "Love you"
When this happens
I always screw up - look at her husband
          then answer
Gulp!
Choke!
"Love you too"

Premium Member Friendship's Omission

As I
Soak in hummingbird’s exhale
I feel tragic sonatas
Trying to chain
Trying to crucify
My sedentary grip on instability

I smell the repugnant commoner
Blasting scattered shots
Against yesterday’s decent

I became the handsome error again.

The godfather of uplifting idle minds
Sedated within the bosoms of complacency
Because, indirectly, I was the inebriated screw-up
Immunized with community pride

As 420’d lyricists
Puff corrugated burns
To keep their spine
Fused in relatable,
Flaccid significance

They dodge flagrant accountability
Like an intentional cripple

And I
Slow dance with agnostic prayer

There would be no commandments
To remind me
That I am still beautiful inside

Beautifully flawed.
Beautifully demonized.
Beautifully improper.
Ugly.

Yet, Gaia’s sun empowers this stanza
To breathe better breaths
To see what refuses to be seen

And no longer accept what cannot be changed

I carve milestones upon gravestones
In friends’ memoriam, nevermore

It felt peacefully redundant to be important,
Chiseling away the vowels of animosity
Attempts to hold my hands
Within this ambidextrous nightmare
Right hand, red
Left hand, chained

Courteous disdain
For developing minds,
Their figure of speech
Meant no blissful harm
With their 40 lashes
Conjured by judgmental testaments

Oh, how they preach for better tomorrows
While stirring yesterday’s pot

Becoming the “end” in “friend”...

Premium Member Forgiven

Falling like a silver star
Driven by love like red car
Slipping on the icy blue part
For you screw up breaking heart

Wondering should I go far
Pondering never have been apart
Outside I’m fine inside a scar
Blowing my mind this love bizarre

You try to fix it with a card
Confetti kisses flowers in part
Picnic time in summer at park
My heart thunders my mind sharp

Remember our first piece of art
Playing our genes like a harp
Birthing our dreams that did start
With children green esteemed sweetheart

With pros and cons on a cream chart
I decide to choose not to throw darts
To not hurt you like you hurt my heart
Love is true for it we all starve

Forgiven this day my love you are.

Premium Member The Pain of Night

Caving tears in the moonlight's shadow.
I wash the pain of yesterday's wound.
A shade of happiness drifts in the darkness.
I start to breathe in a crowded room.
I run fast, 'til I reach the horizon.
Eyes glare at me, I have nowhere to go.
I screw up all the pain this heart kept.
I'm giving up, I'm tired to blend.
Kneeling down, I summon love.
I searched for love myself, and I failed.
I am broken, impaired, can barely bend.
Bring me to life, where love exists.
Lay down my soul barely naked.
Grasp the thinnest air, I'm suffocating.
Sooner or later the pain will be gone.
The night will soon meet the sunshine.

Premium Member I Have To Tell

What's happened recently I have to tell. (Hiccup)
Wish I could muddle through without a screw-up.
It starts out at a comic show. (Hiccup)
The stand-up doing jokes was such a crack-up
my laughter turned to choking then, (Hiccup)
and from my nose there squirted diet 7-up.
Embarrassed by all this, I got up and (Hic!)
excused myself to the lady's room and quick.

I tried to drink some water and to (Hic!)
apply another coat of Rose glow lipstick.
When I returned, I heard stuff that was (Hiccup)
not for kids and hardly for the ears of any grown-up.
I guess I got back just in time for (Hic!)
that crazy guy's most hilarious shtick.
Laughing violently, I felt (Hiccup)
I once again was gonna have a flare-up.

But why I just kept choking I don't (Hic!)
know, but this time I was feeling rather sick.
That's when I first started doing (Hic!)
this. Wish I'd gone instead to see some flick.
This all happened thirty days a (Hic!)
go. I think I've now tried almost every trick-
from breathing into bags to even (hiccup)
drinking from the wrong side of a teacup.

I'm tired of my husband trying to (hiccup)
scare me into stopping, so I'll sum up.
A guy like me was on Jay Leno's (Hic!)
Show. Hey! I could be the famous hiccup chick!
And yet, of all the things I could be known (Hic!)
for, this has to be the last one I would pick!

I think they painted it all red
so that we’d think it really dead
get the thought out of our head
they would let us share a bed.

Perhaps they hacked Mars “google maps”
to screw up our best thinkers caps
installed the “red-dead” planet app
in brownish shade of crusty past

to insure we’d change our mind
look elsewhere in our search to find
another place to colonize
after this one slowly dies.

They have watched our pestilence
defy the laws of common sense
will not succumb to our pretense
good neighbors do not need a fence.

Sensitive Community: My True Colors

I once knew a poet named Carlene.
Whom you would assume was quite serene.
                     But screw-up, you'd better not!
Or you'll be in for a shock!
For her '***** slaps' can be unforeseen.

Premium Member Asperges Carer

It is hard living with asperges
Everything is black and white
Nothing is illogical
Day is day and night is night

You can not read emotion
You don't want to cause commotion
All you want is love and understanding
Not grief and people just demanding

It's hard to show compassion
It's the mind too a fashion
It's not lack of empathy
It's just that you cannot see

It's not a tantrum that's occurring
It's the mind that is over tuning
No point in saying get over it
It won't help just make us want to fit

We know what is right from wrong
To a point of an OCD
It's pretty much autism in form
But not knowing what is the norm

As a carer of someone with this fate
Show understanding and not hate
It's hard to know what to say
It all depends on that day

No negative vibe or attitude
This will make them clam up
Plenty of love and gratitude
They be at the top of the cup

So stop and think and wonder why
What has made them start to cry
Thier is a reason in thier head
Try and resolve this before bed

Now this isn't in every case
Before you screw up your face
This is just sufferers that I do know
I just want to help and show

Queen of the Screw Ups

The Queen of the Screw Up's! That would be me!
I wear that crown With the greatest of ease!

So, bow down people, show some respect.
To the most majestic screw up, you will never forget.

I screw up everything, that is ample.
Take my bank account, for example
In the negative it always stays.
I screw that up everyday.

Bills pile up they never get paid
Ignoring them wishing they would go away
Electricity, water, credit card statements pile up in a high-rise
My credit score is lower than my shoe size

Relationships are destroyed and broken,
leaving with no apologies spoken.

It’s not easy being queen, I had to earn that crown,
and I don’t plan on stepping down.
So, All hail her royal Highness and kneel before me,
who screws things up to the third degree .

I wondered if owls became depressed
And if they ever cry
Then instead of saying who
They just wondered why

If a man pulls pickles from a jar
At his place of work
Does he become a pickle plucker
Or a gherkin jerk

My marriage lasted forty years
It's been a lot of fun
The reason I'm still living is
My wife don't own a gun

When she calls me honey dew
I really get suspicious
Because it's honey dew the ironing
Or honey dew the dishes

When something needs fixing at my house
I do it right away
Why put off until tomorrow
What you can screw up today

Thanks to genetic research
The future's bright it shows
You'll be able to choose your children's ears
And even pick their nose.

I Have Done'''

I dont really know how to explain.....
So im just going to say.....

Iv Always looked in the wrong places,

Iv Found it hard to trust someone,

Iv Sometimes always seem to screw up something good,

Iv Seemed to never been able to make my mind up,

Iv Noticed the Bad things instead of the good,

Iv Never seemed to be happy,

Iv Always seemed to be lost,

But,

Iv Always Seemed to

LOVE YOU.

Thought You Were My Brother

How can you scream at me brother
its not my fault
you were caught
not i
i stopped before the cops decided to come by
how can you scream at me brother
i didnt lie
i didnt tell your girlfriend what you hide
its not my fault you cheated on her
its not my fault you made her want to die
how can you scream at me brother
look me in the face
i consider you blood
and yet you just walk away
how can you scream at me brother
dont turn your back
i gave you my heart as your little sister
Trevor, dont just walk away
dont you dare scream at me brother
ive had enough abuse
i told you first what happened
i trusted you
dont ever scream at me brother
for none of this is my fault
your the major screw up
i didnt say i wasnt at all
Walk away from me brother
that doesnt make you a man
look at me
dont hide
i want to see the tears from my hand
i didnt phisically slap you brother
it was all with my words
with the tears on my face
beacuse its your fault im hurt.

Do Not Believe In Omens

You’re agonizing over your decision,
you waver, and you can’t make up your mind,
and after back and forth and much revision
you’re this close to deciding when you find

two eagles flying in the same direction
in which you’re driving – surely that’s a sign!
Two eagles are an omen in perfection.
It must mean: go for it, the fates align.

And this is how you screw up royally.
Do not believe in omens. Even swarms
of eagles that appear won’t loyally
foretell the future. They’re not magic charms.

You better play it safe and heed the voice
that whispers “doubts mean it’s a stupid choice”.

Killer Clown

Tear that have fallen down my face
Gather in a pool around my feet.
My fears are coming true.
You don't love me anymore.
I can see the hate fill your eyes.

You say that I'm just a useless
Screw Up.
I can't do anything right anymore
If you won't love me anymore then
I will hate you with such passion.

Don't you see what you've done to me?
I can't breathe anymore.
My heart's stopped beating
My soul's been devoured,
I am evil.

My friend stares at me from across the room
Waiting for me to lose my cool
To use him on my wrist.
Will I?
You caused this mess now finish it.

Don't stop hating,
Don't stop killing me slowly
Lock me up
Throw away my key,
Just keep him away from me.

It's all too late.
You can't stop him anymore
No more will I listen to you,
Instead of my wrist,
Should it be my neck?

So you wish that you had never met me?
Wish that all the damage I had caused vanished?
Like a cloud of smoke in the wind?
If I end both of our misery,
Would they understand?

Would they understand if
My life ends today?
Would they laugh at me?
Spit on my grave?
Does this make sense to you?

Does the fact that I refuse to
Cower before you cause anger?
Do I cause the insanity to flare?
Am I the reason why you yell?
Did I kill you too?

Am I just crying for nothing?
Was there anything between us?
Am I just a fool?
Tricked by love,
That emotion that causes pain.

It started out okay.
Why couldn't I see that
You weren't feeling
The same that I was?
(He's calling out to me).

I'm scared, I can't see
The light at the end of my tunnel.
Is it true that I'm the Devil's daughter,
Damned to Hell
From the day I was born?

Is this the way my light's supposed to go out?
Am i going to be the one who
Makes everyone laugh?
Am I just
The Killer Clown?
