The Renegade

A renegade came in on his horse from the west
With spurs on his boots and a fringe on his vest;
The tilt of his hat was folly's own heat
And his engraved boots were full of big feet;
His carved leather belt held pistols and things
And an old deck of cards held aces and kings.

Lovely Juliette sat there feeling remorse
When the dude came in riding on a black horse;
Her loveliness gave him a heart felt glow
And he reigned in his horse with a powerful "Whoa";
Then he turned to the woman with an ecstatic smile
And boldly asked if he could stay awhile.

With flustered mind she blinked eyes in fright
But Juliette smiled and said that he might;
So in through the entrance rode the mysterious dude
With a proud  mind and feeling a bit lewd;
He strode up to the landlord and cleaned out the bar
And the landlord threatened to coat him with tar;
The judge banged his gavel and charged him for same
Then the renegade left and rode off with his dame.

Renegade Man

your life you don’t care
you cuss and you swear
you play those games
think you’re Jesse James
cause friction and heat
live your life on the street

you’ve been poppin’ pills
you've got over due bills
you’re drunk all the time
drinking whiskey & shine
but your time is run out
and there aint no doubt

(chorus)
you’re a renegade Yeah
an outlaw renegade man
a renegade yeah
an outlaw renegade man

you’re like an angry child
crazy, loud and wild
you play that rock ’n roll
it was born in your soul
you’re fast on the draw
but you can’t beat the law

(chorus)
you’re a renegade yeah
an outlaw renegade man
a renegade yeah
an outlaw renegade man

renegade renegade renegade yeah
outlaw renegade man

Rodeo's Renegade Roses

Gather ‘round younguns, there is a story to be told
About some renegade cowgirls & their ride for the gold
They made it look so easy, feathers, flowers & a smile.
Guts & grace, they had plenty, quitting wasn't their style

They snugged up their riggin' & grabbed for air
Winning Champion titles with style & flair
If Lucas, Krieg & Greenough hadn't led the way
Would any of us be here in the arena today?

Henderson, Riley, Hastings & Creed
To the "Men Only" rule they all paid no heed
They broke records & bones, faced derision & fear
Riding Broncs, Raising families, they juggled home & career

Nasty wrecks were a given but they seemed to bounce back
In one unforgettable event, Tad's girl picked up the slack
From Calgary & Cheyenne to OKC & San Antone
Though there are many others, these ladies stand alone

Hat's off to the Rodeo's Renegade Roses
At tradition they turned up their noses
Bronc busting, trick riding, a rough riding ballet
They showed us how to win & made it look like play

They were never reckless, just a bit wild & bold
Now its up to you & me to see their stories told
They left mighty big boots to fill, bless them one & all
We know that they ride with us, as we heed the siren's call

Lift a glass high in honor for those who paved the way
Three cheers for the Renegade Roses still bucking out today

Youth Revolt At the Renegade Square

We are eager and much willing
To find progress in forgiving!
Long as we the future living
Reap the fruit of our own digging!

Stop the bloodshed and the killing
Heed the call and hear the feelings
Do not ignore or practice grinning
We are relentless in our bidding

Rugged, aimless not quite sinners
Think of us assumed caregivers
You will serve, worship, deliver
A stern warning for those who quiver

Through the bitter night that's turning
Underlies the rage that won't stop burning
Are the questions of their forming
Huge mistrust and reckless learning

Their wretched thoughts within them roaring
Thickening soup of malice churning
Now light and darkness in them blurring
Starts the signal of societies falling

'Bless the young mind!' said the screams
Touch their skirts and gird their seams
Feel the hems within their jeans
As they bring forth these lofty ideals

Is it wisdom or foolish extremes
They resort to usher in peace
Rip through curtains, burning machines
Find a vaccine, sweep the streets

There seems certainty in the air
Fog of heat and dense dispair
Of the future that lies bare
For all the citizens of this square

Still the rantings would play on
Such as a never ending song
Hope is future, lust is lost
Youth is freedom, wisdom be gone

Renegade Rhapsody

We finally made it to Phoenix Johnny's singing in the shower
We've been waiting for hours
to take care of business.
Spitting out miles of chewed up road
Contraband couriers of another load
now our contact
doesn't answer the phone
Another night in a cheap Motel
Here I am again lying to myself
promised to quit this business
But I had my fingers crossed
No rain since Culiacan
And my mom
is probably wonderin'
Where her son's off thunderin' to now
This work costs more than it pays
pissed away every dollar I made
And wore a hole
in the pocket of my future.
Johnny's dressed just as the telephone rings
The voice on the line says
Gila Casino Queens Creek
One more last time we've beat the Devil
It's because we cheat

Renegade Son

Renegade against time with vision and
Isolated from yourself, the sun does not cover, you
Centered on dreams too big for life
How you dream those big dreams,
And life’s passing you by.
Renegade son do not eat the apple.
Don your amour and free the princess
O, free the princess!

Premium Member Your Renegade Heart

Your renegade heart, so darkly pure
Once scarred by light found insecure

Our momentum of romanced waves converged
Drowning all foundations of reserve

But my faint mount failed to keep pace
Across your tangled steeplechase

When every question was a crime
Smug sneers met any need of mine

Callowness furled in fickle curls
How you despised the unrepentant world!

Yet, I thank you for this cruel clarity
For if you are the villain, the hero is me

So I flew on wings shed of regret
With a strength you'd like me to forget

Now, my second-hand heart, though incomplete
Even ragged, tattered and stitched - still beats.

Renegade Reality

Stuck in a feeling, bring up this rearing.
Follow suit, or get the boot.
Caught between places, there are too many faces.
Don't know how to ask, my needs are in a flask.

Break the glass, and its all just wasted.
Keep it shelved, and forever not tasted.
Sickening my self to sleep, if that ever comes,
I will try to keep.

Gorging in this cunning proposal of weary sky,
I look to the birds, and wish to fly.
Still counting sheep alone, the dark one in the herd won't ever see his home.
"Enough of this madness!" I tell myself, rambling my thoughts, scrambling to fight a battle not fought.

I look to the shelf, the books not placed, it could all fall down and be a disgrace.
Going back and forth pacing my eyes, I am a man of my word, yet always in disguise.
I seldom ask for help, sleep is for the weak, I care too much and that is what I speak.

The Globetrotting Renegade

He breathed his monotonous homely air
And felt it was not his time to be there,
And departed for world-famed distant shores
Where he believed happiness brimless flows.

And true the sundry scenes promised change:
On the bitumened streets were gals of every range
And though the languages were new, all looked fair
And his heart throbbed with the puff of foreign air.

He liked the taste of the liquor folks imbibed there
As well as their willing capacity to dream and dare,
And so he began to think: “My heart’s merry at last”,
And cursed his country and washed himself of the past.

He taught himself the rules associated with foreign codes
And marveled at his capability to adopt unfamiliar modes,
He forsook the old and with feigned piety learned politer faiths
Convinced that his father’s religion was a careful set of myths.

But when all was forgotten and the new seemed ever right
The silent old started to haunt his every other sleepless night,
So he couldn’t take it anymore, and returned after years had passed,
And when he puffed again the native air, he sighed: “I’m home at last!”

Renegade Heart

I'm a soldier, can't you tell by my wounds?
I've been tortured, I've been beaten, and I've been bruised!
I have scars, I have stitches, I feel pain all the time.
I don't cry anymore cause tears have stopped falling from my eyes.
I've broken up homes and destroyed countless bonds
But I too have been lied to and conned!
I've fought many battles and won many fights
I've learned many tactics like when to shoot and how to shoot right.
My brain is filled with memories, memories of my wars
I've tried to erase them but they've filled my body like the sores.
I've played in fire and got burnt time and time again
Destruction seems to be my one and only friend
Cause my enemies are countless and are everywhere I turn
But the one thing I desire hurts more then the wounds I've endured,
Battlefields cause damage I could have suffered more
But when its all said and done all is fair in love and war!

Renegade Generation

Phantoming my generation
I get mesmerized each time I try
Most things I see break my heart
And at the same time blow my mind

Education is no more for liberation
But a focal tool of oppression
Wealth and generosity are now enemies
The former married intimidation
And the latter is now kissing annihilation
People don't just give anymore without expectation

Oh my dear generation
So full of many vicious circles
Too annoying to elaborate on

But the one that always hit me like an avalanche
Is the appalling level of our mediocrity
Mediocre everywhere left right and centre
We,Real McCoy are in a state of cocoon without a flange

Intelligence is unfortunately now the new complexity
Oh what do I do with all my mama's lessons on simplicity
The word merit is now rooted to family name and godfatherism
That exasperating word always provoke my thoughts but never my aphorisms

In this my ignoble generation
Only a few escape the inconsideration
While the rest of us are left in a state of gash
Haha, though not funny, I like calling it abracadabra

My sourish generation, we cry for a solution
I hear Revolution, how about I propose a moral revolution
How about we all go get a mirror
And stare into the eye of that reflection

You know the choices to make and the voices to change
Morality is within us all, though crumbled in some few
But we can still fix this
Oh my dear generation, YES WE CAN still fix you.

Renegade Intelligence

sabatoge of autopilot
couldnt turn it off
was anyone even on the plane
the fake list of names
the switched camera feeds
are we looking at this from the right angle

so i was thinking my thoughts about thinking
and i thunk i thought a thought
i think i thunk it
whatever thought i thunk
not to sure what i'm thinking

the story of marilyn manson
studied to look for the tell tale signs
of being victomised like this
when these things show up in your kids
you will know why he did what he did
hired to fix the affects of charles

The game of catching a serial killer 101
never really understood the massacre i saw
the study of this may be worthwhile
strategic puzzle pieces
the series will end with a naked man in a vice
a match will be lit
and the enemy dead before it hits the floor

sold my soul to the devil
found myself reborn from old man winter
to become the meaning of life sold on a cold day in hell
we were all there
you don't remember
we just barely got away
the digital soul i now own
the one where jesus masterminds crazy
the devil torn between the bounty on my head to press the button
to strike me down with the missile for the billions of dollars on my head
or the gift of genocide i could offer
a choice offered of the better of two evils
the indecision to make a decision for someone who always gets what he wants
the crying game is such a shame
time is up for the decision
i'll sell this opportunity to someone else who can afford the simple mindgame

renegade intelligence saves the day
crazy haze maybe
a group of people unreliable and unresponsible for personal accountability
manipulating someone with a life made to be unfair
the songs all about me may lead to the one who likes to travel
and what those six artists have in common
welcome to the great and secret show

Your chemical warfare among the celebrities
manipulated to make mistakes
houston we have a problem
and if you ask britney she would tell you it was crack
sorry for the ill fortune of bodyguards
strung out on steroids
makes you wonder whats going on
in the autopilot of your renegade intelligence
who teaches people to do these things?

Renegade

I will be gone with the wind
With my hands raised high
And my dainty feet caught in mid air.
I race for the stars.
With music lingering in my eye drums
Love strolling in my heart.
Leaving behind fun memories
Of sweet purple lipstick
And shinning brown eyes.

I will be gone with the wind
Sailing briefly for the sun
On pale blue seas with no boundaries.
Lost in my dreams.
Never finding my way
Back to warm hugs
And familiar faces.

I will be gone with the wind
Before the rain drops
And I'm soaked with love and perfect kisses.
Catching feeling,losing my soul.
Hurting because I was told
I'd never get better,but worse.
A broken heart with many scars.

I will be gone with the wind
Building castles out of dark clouds
Plaguing my tummy with moon-cakes and sugary
water.
I'd be far from home
From family and friends.
Just me and the night skies
And the universe to roam.

Renegade

Don’t tell what to do, don’t tell how to behave
I’m a renegade, I’m no ones slave
I’m free of all restraints, free to do what I desire
Holden to something higher, it fills me full of fire
Your lies are just a web, to keep me underground
But the law’s unsound, you can’t pin me down
As tight as you can grip, it will never be enough
‘coz I’m raw and I’m ruff, made of sterner stuff
You can’t control our mind, so you try to kill our will
But I can match your skill, come and get your fill
