Best Rendezvous Poems
you're so far away...
tantalizing temptation was always your forte
teasing me, drawing me in
making me yearn for your passionate kiss
desperate to be lured
into your amorous arms
by those luscious lavender lips
and the sweet scent of your sultry sensuality
alas, my love...
this cruel chasm created by your passing
has left me melancholic
how I remember our romantic rendezvous
and savor the memories of our marital mergings
bodies entwined in erotic embrace
reaching heights of euphoric ecstasy
that left us spent and satisfied, time and again
tell me where I can find you...
sun and moon are distant lovers, languishing
in an uncaring universe determined
to keep them from consummating their vows
even still, every eighteen months or so
they meet at the appointed time
a galactic eclipse where two become one
the cosmos cries out in joyous refrain
wait for me, my beloved...
and tho' sun and moon may fade away into
an eternal ether of nothingness
my love for you, dear one, shall never wither and die
for ours is a lasting love, destined to deliver
this bereaved soul from the bane of loneliness
and loss on that great day when our two hearts
reunite in rapturous, rhythmic rhapsody -
forever
a day for a year, a day for a year...

Alliteration
I was happily married, but there
was something I adored.
I couldn't resist the temptation,
of needing something more.
So good to feel on my warm
lips, I couldn't wait.
In the middle of the night, I
didn't feel guilty, or hesitate.
I snuck out of the bedroom, not
wanting to wake my wife.
My conscience didn't bother me,
as I dreamed of this, all night.
Quietly I went downstairs, for
my secret rendezvous.
Open the refrigerator door, and
had three scoops.

Poem
Sleeps in my mind’s
Emblem.
You gleam
Heart's dense traffic
With themes
I lean
To call for word

On the fateful day before Halloween
Dressed as a vampire queen in green
I passed through the graveyard
With all my senses on guard
When I heard a rustling mean
In horror I turned around to see
Who had the audacity to scare me
Saw an old man bending low
Chiseling his name in a row
Looked to be a veteran escapee
I told him not to disturb the grave
When he started to turn and rave
His family didn’t spell him right
And he with his might
Had come out his name to engrave

Limerick
One day in Soup Creek City,
There was a duel 'tween Cunningham and Watt
Tom said to John "I hear you're good,
Let me see, son- what you've got"
John said to Tom "You're not the only one
With a gun that fires ink
Tom looked at John in the eye
Then he guzzled down his drink
He said "That may be true, boy
But I've got the fastest gun in town
I'll fire out a few limericks
That will spin your head around"
That's when the sheriff "Koplin"
Walked in Soup Creek's saloon
With pistols by his side
He held a big bright blue balloon
He said to Tom and John
Let's take this duel outside
I'll lock-up the one who shoots the other
And give the balloon to the one who died
Right before they walked outside
Someone shot the balloon big bright and blue
The fastest lady gun around
That all the townsmen knew
Jenna was her name
She walked in six-inch heels
She usually rides around Soup Creek
On her bicycle that has three wheels
She shot that big bright blue balloon
As it wobbled through the air
Then it burst with a bang and zig-zagged
Till it landed on someone's chair
The chair belonged to Gershon Wolfe
The hangman of Soup Creek
But someone shouted "He's in the out-house...
He went to fix a leak"
Milton, Lawless and Mike Gentile
They were playing "Hold 'em" around the table
While Andrea, Constance, and Tania
Was playing "No-Peek" out in the stable
Alexis, Eve, Heidi, Kim and Belle
They were singing a country song
Victor, Arlo, Vijay and Jim Slaughter
They Joined in to sing along
Wendy, Paula, Brenda and Jennifer
Valsa, Sara and "Sunshine" Anne-Lise
They were drinking shots of whiskey
Trying to make some peace
With Sam K, Jo and Brandy
DebM and Anaya too!
Because they all had their eyes on Charlie "two-stepping"
Down at the rendezvous

Just Beyond The Gate
David J Walker
There is a road
there is a cliff
there is certain rendezvous
just beyond where
There is life
There is death
There is light lit
By excised breath
There is sleep
Lying in wait
Just beyond a
Final dawn and unknow fate where
There is the low laughter
Of a river
And pasture with green grass
Just beyond the gate

Oh morning sun, you wake me with your smile
Uplifted by your golden rendezvous
I glow in harmony as you beguile
In streams of light enlisted by your style
I bathe in brilliant warmth of your review
Oh morning sun, you wake me with your smile
I know that you are with me all the while
As shadow dancers marry me to you
I glow in harmony as you beguile
I look upon your radiant profile
I wonder as you splendidly break through
Oh morning sun, you wake me with your smile
At last to find the darkness in exile
To walk my path with energy anew
I glow in harmony as you beguile
I rouse from dazzling dreams to reconcile
To find you gazing , bidding night adieu
Oh morning sun, you wake me with your smile
I glow in harmony as you beguile

RENDEZVOUS WITH ECSTASY
Had I a nonchalant finesse
Would you a rendezvous acquiesce
Or would my chances be precarious
Having failed with all my gambits various
I’ll try perchance a different approach
Where I give you a cause to reproach
Yourself for lack of sympathy
For one with a unique malady
Of heart ache for you while I’m rejected
That leaves me hopeless and dejected
So I’ll go no more a gallivanting
While I pursue my lady, panting
For your unique beauty wild and free
‘Til I win you and live in ecstasy

Twilight witnesses her travel through the woods
As white nightgown drapes upon the passing paths
Seeking out the meadow of first love from days long past
Her eyes reflect the royal luminescence of the moon
As her cheeks tighten to a wishful, seductive smile
While hoping her lover has been there all the while
At long last, as the moon smiled upon her, so did another
With a turn to her, her heart became captive, as did his
She reached to her lover, embraced and fell into a kiss

I recovered haste
As I made way in a sepia wood
Far fatigued limbs
Taking me as far as fear could.
Winter held captive a brook
Bonded by white and gray
I had the desire for escape,
Yet an honesty to stay.
Could this be death, thought I,
Amongst this frozen nature?
Pausing again in the cold
That held me in unmoved stature.
Another damaging glance
For my conscience to alleviate
And I became an element
Of the black waters of fate.
And there, was my fragile life-
So oddly replaced.
No haven from my desperation,
No salvation of grace.

Wait
until
twilight fades.
We’ll rendezvous
under the flickering magical moon.
Lead me afoot, pathless woods where you choose,
Lay me gently
on earth’s cool
soft berth
Lace
our
fingers,
and whisper
sweet love poems
and slowly yield to deep rapture whimpers

This morning I was dreaming
About you inside my veins,
Flowing in and out of me
Like gravity playing games…
Subatomic particles
Moving me about,
Making me laugh, smile and dance
By the light of the moon and shout.
With all my subconscious capacities
Screaming into pitch-black air;
Then waking rather suddenly, finding you
No longer there…vanished
Into darkness, disappeared
Inside my head; but not before
The rendezvous did you
Leave my lonely bed.
