Lover's Rendezvous

Twilight witnesses her travel through the woods As white nightgown drapes upon the passing paths Seeking out the meadow of first love from days long past Her eyes reflect the royal luminescence of the moon As her cheeks tighten to a wishful, seductive smile While hoping her lover has been there all the while At long last, as the moon smiled upon her, so did another With a turn to her, her heart became captive, as did his She reached to her lover, embraced and fell into a kiss
