Lover's Rendezvous
Twilight witnesses her travel through the woods
As white nightgown drapes upon the passing paths
Seeking out the meadow of first love from days long past
Her eyes reflect the royal luminescence of the moon
As her cheeks tighten to a wishful, seductive smile
While hoping her lover has been there all the while
At long last, as the moon smiled upon her, so did another
With a turn to her, her heart became captive, as did his
She reached to her lover, embraced and fell into a kiss
