Oh morning sun, you wake me with your smile
Uplifted by your golden rendezvous 
I glow in harmony as you beguile

In streams of light enlisted by your style
I bathe in brilliant warmth of your review
Oh morning sun, you wake me with your smile

I know that you are with me all the while
As shadow dancers marry me to you
I glow in harmony as you beguile

I look upon your radiant profile
I wonder as you splendidly break through
Oh morning sun, you wake me with your smile

At last to find the darkness in exile
To walk my path with energy anew
I glow in harmony as you beguile

I rouse from dazzling dreams to reconcile
To find you gazing , bidding night adieu
Oh morning sun, you wake me with your smile

This is delightful, my favorite so far. My perspective may not aid in the contest, but it brought me a lot of joy while reading this lovely Villanelle (eventually, I'm sure I'll learn to spell that w/o looking). The iambic seems right on. Lovely poem. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
