Infinite Dot Universe: A Spoof

This rhyming poem was inspired by Arthur Vaso.
It's about a poetic form, and just so you know...
these lines are being written just as a silly spoof
because some of my poems can be called a goof!

There's a new form called, "Infinite Dot Universe"
No, there really is not. Writing this, I feel perverse
because you see, I'd never tout my own poetry.
That would expose a definite lack of my humility.

The gist is that a person's favorite poet should be
him or herself. A bit like the haughty, Vivien Leigh
who thought, "Everything should be all about me."
If things didn't go her way, she'd say, "Fiddle dee dee!"

I digress and must confess this notion of Infinite Dot.
Perhaps instead of dot, let's rename it what it's not.
I think a narcissist would consider it more of a dote
claiming a masterpiece with each poem he/she wrote.

I have favorite poets, and one among them is not ME!
I wouldn't choose those I'd think special in PS. No siree!
That would be like saying who is worthy and who is not,
like the flawed Universe poetry form called Infinite Dot.

I know the first verses are nonsensical to say the least,
but they serve as a sword to slay an insensitive beast.
It's all "Much Ado About Nothing," I would tell a troll
who thinks he's of some importance. Ha! I took a poll.

Triolet has refrains
The first two lines ring out
 They bring it back again,
There are rhyme schemes that flow,
This is a French verse form
That threads the lines with grace
 Then ends as it began

Two More Minutes With Peanut

 minute poem with nonsense words

Stretching, I might be four-foot-six
I've learned to fix
the wixumph jokes
of thoughtless blokes.

Some people are antriphinal -
not short on bull
"Peanut," they yell
"Who cracked your shell?

Perspecitus, 'tis a good word
When thoughts get blurred,
I watch them squirm
at each word worm.

When perspecitus meets wixumph,
I can triumph,
remaining bold -
mood quite controlled.

Vurshotimy! I call the shots,
connect the dots.
When chaps condemn,
toss words to them.

Two minutes with Peanut, no dice.
A little spice
'tworks well enough
to call their bluff.

Tetractys

Tetractys has five lines.
They complete a thought in
twenty syllables as
they ascend or descend
to form pyramid shapes:
they can be reverse too.
To the heart, they appeal.

I do not know the different forms of poetry
To be honest I have no desire to ascertain
So many forms and so complicated
To much confusion for my lazy brain!

I just like to write my thoughts down
A combination of heart and mind
About life and all it encompasses
Usually in a rhyme

I love reading poetry
Be it fiction or the real deal
Humorous, heartfelt, serious, dark,
Topics or opinions on how poets feel

I respect poets who love a challenge
Who appreciate the varied poetry forms
But for me just reading the names of them
Leaves my brain all tattered and torn!

Qawwali, Jueju ,Concrete
Munajat, Vogon,Tyburn, Grook
Only a handful of many
Like words out of a science fiction book!!

My personal preference is to keep it simple
Avoiding forms like Diamanté or Suzette Prime
Continuing to pen my poems
In just good old fashioned Ryhme !

My Poetry Form

Out of all those poetry forms couplet's my fave.
Cause that form lets me rant and rave.
It lets me put my poems to rhyme.
If there was no couplet poetry would be a crime
When I have a thought I write it down.
Couplet's my favorite there not all about syllables
                         and nouns.
So writing poems is what I love to do.
Couplet's allow me to write about what, when or who.

Last Word New Poetry Form - Love

‘LAST WORD’ POETRY LOVE'

it has transpired, my one true love.
I am possessed, writing poems,
words transcribed, my passion, my love.
Feelings for my wife, an omen,
that true peace, true love, can exist!

Extant life, lacks natural love.
Those that think it doesn't matter,
why look to the skies above?
Planet 'B', oh hopeful chatter,
that true peace, true love can exist!

Fear that greed will supersede love,
a normal life whence peace prevailed,
deeds of good, just a tiny shove
to show all, that what is entailed.
That true peace, true love, can exist...
