Best Plea Poems
Of The Life, The Great Loss, The Solemn Plea
Across the cold chasm of that great divide
were flung the salty tears I could not hide
and epic darkness of a weeping soul
aching sorrows that took a heavy toll
O'gasping voice- shall thy complaints be heard
by whispering wind or by poet's word
in that a life mystery there gave birth
from those youthful days and innocent mirth
pray I, joy again of a much freer me
with swifter rescue from despair's aching sea!
O'mercy, dare thee this heart quickly heal
bless this soul, renewing love's dancing zeal
cast happy net, its loving gems therein reap
beauty and truth, gems to forever keep
whilst in my pleadings- I beg for much more
than unjust solitude on a foreign shore
remember what you asked me to swear
now failure- my loss more than I can bear
may I sworn rendezvous now truly keep
and you forgive me before my final sleep!
Fated were the blues of that darkest day
perhaps even these words I must now say
you my darling, were everything to me
but of freedom's needs, we could not agree
I that sought far, far more than was my due
live now despondent despair missing you
can you feel intense pain of this broken heart
with your tender heart gift us a restart
gift our lives, treasure of renewed love
so again, we may kiss 'neath Heavens above!
O'mercy, dare thee this heart quickly heal
bless this soul, renewing love's dancing zeal
cast happy net, its loving gems therein reap
beauty and truth, gems to forever keep?

( The Sorrows Of A Love Lost )

This is from my ancient graveyard of hidden poems.
Another time that in my youth I went far astray
I when looking back, see it like it was yesterday
And can yet again feel the pangs of a love destroyed
This may now, see the bright cleansing light of day
From wild youth, when I once let my vanity hold sway.
Decided to not edit this, leave it as was written when in
throes of deepest sorrows, heart was cut to shreds..
Even through the darkest days, my faith remains unshaken
There's not a day that passes, that I'm ungrateful for each blessing
I understand that we all face trial and tribulations
And I believe, that nothing is placed on us that would break us
So I keep my head up, like they said, and keep praying
But still everyday I'm waking up to face the same issues
And I'm starting to get frustrated, and I'm feeling crazy
So if you hear me God, my God, please save me
I feel like I owe you lifetimes, for all the times, that I spent away from you
But know that even when we weren't speaking, that I did not forsake you
And I know that you'll forgive me and still walk by my side
It may not look like it, but I'm giving my all for this life
If I could go back in time I would take the path that you'd placed for me
Instead of erasing it with all the same temptations that now make me
I wanna feel your strength lift me up, and your grace that's nothing short of amazing
So if you hear me God, my God, please save me.
Dear Lord hear my plea!
Since the dawn of time...
has reigned cruelty...
Man has chosen war,
know not what it's for,
when will there be peace?
Why can't humans learn?
Lessons from the past...
Must we live in fear...
When, your Word is clear,
Forgotten so fast
Refrain repeat
I bow down in prayer,
knowing that you're there
Dear Lord hear my plea
We all pray for change...
know not what will be...
Written in your Word...
now, not often heard,
Dear Lord hear my plea
I bow down in prayer,
knowing that you're there
Dear Lord hear my plea
Since the dawn of time...
has reigned cruelty...
Man has chosen war,
know not what it's for,
When will there be peace?
I bow down in prayer,
knowing that you're there
Dear Lord hear my plea
Hope in the new world! ...
wicked will be gone...
They have had their day,
but from You have strayed
Oh Lord for how long?
I bow down in prayer,
knowing that you're there
Dear Lord hear my plea
Still I live in hope...
trust implicitly...
I bow down in prayer,
knowing that you're there
Dear Lord hear my plea
I bow down in prayer,
knowing that you're there
Dear Lord hear my plea
I bow down in prayer,
knowing that you're there
Dear Lord hear my plea

The Dream, The Judgement And The Final Plea
If my beating heart were to be graded,
Through clear prism of hidden things not oft seen;
Let it be judged by memories faded,
Tho' once pretty as verdant grass is green.
There with blindness removed, pray thee not err
For muddied waters defy truest intent;
As all my life and love, was given her,
Such was not wrong, thus no need I repent.
From her soft heart's beating, she gave her all
Nights in loving splendor, we did embrace;
With her sweet smile greeting my every call,
Her great gift was found to be Heaven's grace.
Thou parted, death can not our love destroy,
Destiny once charted, tho' now no more;
Judge not harsh, follies of young girl and boy,
Should my path, be to a different shore.
Forgive mistakes made, youthful confusion.
We both being too young and filled with pride.
I pray thee jump to no wrong conclusion;
All my great sins I dare not try to hide!
Know this, I loved and wanted to keep her,
And in both pounding hearts, love was sublime;
True now, I am truly lost without her,
Perhaps best judge me as bad, end my time.
Ask I thee, please grant this one more favor,
Allow this wretch to give her one last kiss;
See her smile, touch her lips, taste her flavor,
Die remembering all that I will miss.

Rhyme, ( Plea and Judgement )
She could bring sunlight to the darkness
Warmth to the cold
Joy to the sorrowful
The inner child to the old
She had such a passion for life
Viewed through positive eyes
Not perfect by any means
She had lows and highs
After colliding with trauma ….she lost her way
Addictions mighty grip took hold
Desperate, alone and homeless
No more living a life of gold
“Help me” ,she managed to whisper
As she lay in pain and harm
Not a soul heard her desperate plea
As she died with a dirty needle in her arm
Hannah’s Plea
He sleeps in my arms,
My prayer, my little one,
Born of a plea from depths so deep
Only dreams know the origin.
Gone the constant whispering
Of Hannah, the barren,
Whispers always following me –
A prowling pack of sullen dogs.
My soul rejoices – thankful my heart;
In my delirium
My Lord blessed me with such laughter
They thought I drank too much new wine.
Only today – this one –
Noon following midnight –
Each minute he grows in my eyes;
I store these memories like stars.
Each breath we share –
A bonding of spirits –
Joins our hands as mother and son –
Comfort like cashmere when Eli calls.
Out of dust, joy stands up –
My joyful heart sings out;
My hands remember holding him
Covering me as a warm new coat.
Mother Earth's Plea
Once upon a time I was so beautiful
Now my body is cluttered with pestilence,
I’m slowly dying inside.
Hear my suffering,
feel my rain of tears,
my seasons of grief and anguish
Please restore my magical beauty and charm,
the rhythm of harmony and balance
so I can survive
If you love me, keep me clean and recycle.
Everyone needs to pitch in!

"A Daughter's Plea to Daddy"
loving arms could not embrace you when you tenderly asked
while tears filled sad green eyes as you struggled to breathe and gasped
shielded by thick glass now; separated in lonely hospital room
as the death chant hovered above your weakened body predicting gloom.
memories replay of precious times playing piano and singing together
my childlike understanding was dimly clouded as stormy weather
reflecting upon our last moments for a hug and kiss request
for how was I to realize you'd soon be the Lord's special guest.
I wished I had that moment back when Daddy dear, I refused,
accept now my apology for then I was crying and confused
looking at your photograph in frame I pray you have forgiven me
for being so scared as you lay dying...but...I was only three.

Oh God please take these racing thoughts from me,
Please stop the inner turmoil please.
Why do I always feel this way?
What do I have to do, what do I have to say.
Why does my life have to be so hard?
Why do I always have to feel on guard?
It doesn’t seem fair, it doesn’t seem right,
That my mind has to always be in this eternal fight.
I’m tired of worry; I’m tired of pain,
I’m tired of feeling like I’m always to blame.
God please give me peace, please put me mind at ease,
I can not take it, I didn’t ask for this disease.
A Haitian Child’s Plea
Today I walked around all day.
My feet hurt.
I have no clean water to drink.
I have nothing to eat.
I want to take a bath like any other boy does.
There is no clean water.
I just want to be a kid.
Over head is a helicopter
hovering over me and I doubt they’ll help us.
I miss my family and that’s all I can think about.
My Dearest Lee…How we miss thee!
Please come back…here is our plea…
If you’d come back, we agree…
To eat cold Brussels sprouts and a pea
To swim across the Yellow sea
To take you on a shopping spree
To suck the stinger from a bee
To take you to Vail and let you ski
To shine your name on a marquee
To rig you kids’ spelling bee
To let you race in the Grand Prix
To arrange with the queen, afternoon tea
To kick Chris and Frank in the knee
To give up our glass of Chablis
To let you win every game of yahtzee
To run around naked, like a banshee
Lee, please come back and hear our plea
Then we will all be yellin’ “YIPPEE”
*Now Lee…we would never really kick Chris and Frank in the knee b/c we love them dearly but the rest is true :) We really miss your style of poetry…your message pieces…your unique way of telling a story. Please come back to us my dear.

Spontaneous ladies,
embellished by eons,
illusive, enchanting,
with black velvet "eyes,"
and fringed yellow cloaks,
sparkling with diamonds
at midnight and dawn,
Oh, fly me away from
my grey-flooded days,
from the four-lane race
and the file drawer maze.
Fly me away from
the chain of the clock
and the sink of necessities.
Bring me in spirit
to magical rendezvous,
to dance by the glint
of the moon on the marsh,
hiding from fireflies,
nudging antennas.
Plea From A Dark Soul
Weep not in the sun for me
my wasted life spent in vain
by death I did flee,
all but my shadow dwelt in pain
Utter not proud words for me
years of drunken whoring feasts
by death I did flee,
feeling no love, set loose my beasts
Deny not the fate I did earn
in my own just Hell to endure
by death I so return,
leaving a black heart so impure
Cry not over my burial urn
my deeds harvested bitter fruits
by death I so return,
to languish in my dark roots!

note: Written from a dream, rather a nightmare that I had recently. As the darkness closed in the screams grew louder, the pain stronger and the heartaches
shouted for more agony.. Singe this sinner's hide with pain
that makes the angels cry..
A voice speaks out, tis only the start , we have ages and ages to increase
the torment and pain.
Time serves us this sweet delight , this lost soul now lives within our eternal night!
Quote for perspective--
Poetry is a bowl of cereal and if you are nice you get to add milk and a spoon.

Priest of death, I humbly
Plea, we come as meager
Penitents, not seeking
Pardon, but a brief balm
Perchance, a small hope dwells
Permit a corner where
Prayers are heard in hell

Words badly spoken
Shout - by - shout - by - shout
Let anger be spoken
Let all people around see and hear
Was that all you can do?!!!!
My heart pounding fast
Beating strong and hard
As if any moment I will burst
Sweats unstoppable running low
My fingers starts to shake
Each breath a shallow deep ones
Each glance a hidden plea
Each step carried with the heaviest gold
I want to speak but I can not
I am stunned
I am stripped
I am foot glued
I am hurting
Deep and open
I want to utter something
But I can not
Afraid to say something wrong
Scare to be put on fault
I am tired explaining
so tired...
so exhausted in a way even...
I run.
run
keep on running
and there as I stop
Tears flow....
