Without a shadow's kiss
           How blooms a hidden rose?
Without a storm's embrace
          How does an oak repose?

In Twilight's waltz, secrets unroll
    the mystery it bestows.
Yet in its gently budding leaves
     tales of resilience compose.

How should I yearn to climb
          I lack the precipice's call?
Cragged visions of distant peaks and
   fallow mind
          a darkened silent beckon enthrall.

Oh, to forge within,
Oh, why, doubt cloaks my inner child.
In solitude's chains
          I hear the introspective thrall.

Yet, tremors are in my soul
and yet a lonely seed begins to climb
A combination of growth
          harmonizing with each chime.
Nourished by tears that sow
          the fertile sands of time.
My garden of emotions still hints
     at a poet’s
          paradisiacal paradigm.

Suddenly, a sunlit coast where dreams
       unfurl in storms
A canvas painted by aspirations
          that gently adorn.
With hopeful brushstrokes
               life-captivating stories that plume.
A gallery of memories
                    a child’s kaleidoscope.
 Once upon a solitary,
                           darkened
                                 locked room.

Perhaps a gardener’s gentle hand
     can stir the fallow ground
Fertilizing roots to depths
           where true potential
once lost - begged to be found.

A dawn’s soft breath a gentle lure
perhaps to coax my dormant leaves unbound
Awakening possibilities in the quiet
                    yet, now fertile ground.

In stillness my thoughts emerge
         unseen, a quiet vow,
An introspective voyage
on the sea of here and now.
My diamonds form from tears
                          not battles' echoing crown

I am a jewel of resilience
forged in the soul's darkest hour.

Under the canopy of the pine trees we lay -
from the poem 'Under the canopy of pine trees by Eve Roper

UNDER THE CANOPY

Under the canopy of the pine trees we lay.
Fervent scent gives undertow noses a heady sway.
Four eyes closed, we swallow the coniferous forest.
Love thrives in our paradisiacal protraction of rest.

Blinded to adversity, verdancy thrives in aurora splay
As our minds run into the river of sunlight to play.
We make promises — nothing sovereign outside our love.
He squeezes my hand, our engagement rings think of

Only this moment, the splendor of our crashing lips.
Our bodies envelope each other like an eclipse.
The force of nature — the arcadian elixir, its bliss.
I shall nevermore forget the chill of reminisce.

Premium Member Great Escape

Good night my playful heart, waltz merrily in fairy dreams
Reveling in memories of beloved blissful blossoming springs
Engaging her wishes in music of gentle whispering winds
Ascending to ecstasy, eliciting elatedly what romance is
Traversing the night-sky, stargazing in her doting company.

Exhilarating in her imagination of euphoric utopian abode
Sketch for me what you mean by paradisiacal place on earth
Captivating sensuous desires longing to inhabit Elysium,
Affirm to my anxious world: fantasy never dwells in sorrow
Playing for her on keys of piano, pleadings of my eternal hope
Ecstatic to awaken me, when she acquiesces to call of love.

Premium Member Love's Allure

I always weep for you in the hush of eventide hills.
In their mystical muteness I can hear your heartbeats.
As tears indulge in indigo dusky deepening horizons,
I put my hope in the last morning star which lusters
upon waves with sapphire iridescence shades of eternity,
flowing upon seashell shores stroking your sacred footprints.

Ever since your opulent hypnotic essence
stole the innocence of my lucent purity,
you've left me drunk on the wine of passion.
I'm stumbling like a drunkard in the dappled depth of desire,
with my provocative facade forming into a bodacious flame,
searching for my poetic pearl lost in a sea of mauve enchantment.

Wailing winds have discoloured my eyes with stained illusions,
in their darkness, I yearn for your sunlit glimmer to reappear.

I've been kissing the emptiness of porcelain moonlight,
since you left behind the taste of your fragrant lullaby.
Wondering if my kiss illuminated the ebony entities,
veiled inside your mystique of midnight eyes.
Visions of your majestic scarlet seraphim lips,
poised in sultry pulsation, forever flutter,
floating like blended opal and onyx butterflies.
Their tender beauteous softness merging
like ambrosia echoes of a cocoon, composing
the sweetness of saccharine symphonies,
caressing my soul like a magnolia breeze.

Oh my beloved ethereal lover,
will I be forever dreaming of your paradisiacal grace,
seeking your celestial scent from dusk till dawn?
Won't you gift me one shimmery glimpse
of your rialto rosette silhouette.

Forever wrap me in the sanctuary of your satin wings,
like the warm merino shawl of love's allure.
Why leave me in this state of silent saudade,
where I hunger for the silken hymn of your tongue.

Why bless me with such treasures,
only to deprive me?

Premium Member Betrayal of Blossoms

Some days poetry flows
sometimes it is just words.

In the final spring - a poet
yearned for an immaculate blossom,
for his fingertips to bring a painting into life - to
meticulously cultivate and craft a masterpiece.
I recall an opal oasis full of pearl petals,
glittering with rows of diamond orchids,
citrine marigolds, moonstone lotuses,
and garnet roses surrounded by
amethyst lavender and sapphire bluebells.
craving for his mastery.

In a distant meadow,
consumed with faithless flock
grazing dead leaves -
there you bloomed from bronze roots,
an enchanting flower held by an emerald sepal.
In your flattery,
he became a willing devotee,
seduced by the scent of your paradisiacal petals.
But in your admiration he neglected
his selfless blooms,
unaware of wicked weeds
wandering in eidolic fields.

At sunset he would mirror the stars
and follow you like fireflies at midnight,
Serenade you with mystical lullabies,
evoking a sense of serenity,
but in the deception of dawn
you prioritised the sun,
over his soothing moonlight,
so you wilted, withering,
dripping in dewdrops.

In your servitude,
he placed you in the
greenhouse of his heart,
to protect you from the arrival of autumn,
but gaslighting gardeners,
sliced all of his intimate stems,
allowing satanic rain
to poison your spirit.

In the darkness, which dilates his eyes,
the pain still penetrates like a bitter blade
and he has become a forgotten gardener,
with dead seeds of scepticism
sowed into his soul.

Premium Member Ekphrasis On Wheat Field With Cypresses

effervescent swirling clouds
in turquoise summer skies
float like flocks of fair sheeps
in far away exuberant fields

beneath are cyclopean cypresses
touching celestial bosom
in deep periwinkle and corn flower
whilst wheat fields
are golden fleece
waltzing with the west wind

oh, how can I forget
the paradisiacal poppies
sitting placidly along the wayside
like your eyes glisten
in your pensive mood
unaware of my presence

Notes:A Wheatfield with Cypresses is any of three similar 1889 oil paintings by Vincent van Gogh, as part of his wheat field series. All were exhibited at the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole mental asylum at Saint-Rémy near Arles, France, where Van Gogh was voluntarily a patient from May 1889 to May 1890. The works were inspired by the view from the window at the asylum towards the Alpilles mountains.(Photo and info credits to Wikipedia)

NATURE’S BOUNTY

Blend of green and gold
Like a star-filled night
It’s God’s hand we hold
In awe of nature's nativity

The trees they sway
In a field of poppies
They dance all day
Amidst rustic hues

The lush turquoise-mint grass
Like the splendiferous sea
Wafting hymns of early mass
Blow through rich maple trees

A church chapel built by mankind
Years and years of forging beauty
Could not saturate the spirit’s mind
True to this paradisiacal bounty

Paradise of Elysian Love's Petals

dedicatation about nature colors and beauty to my love,my beautiful soul @fadingstarsilence ???tata micia ..you are my masterpiece in this universe

Sparkling nocturnal sky of constellations and glimmering stars,
wraps our twining souls in their divine light, in
a masterpiece of splendor and magic, my Venus.
Brushstrokes of pastel colors painted with the palette of your majestic prismatic aura, of a tangerine dawn upon sapphire skies of cotton candy, as soft as the touch of your depth that blankets mine, my Korean princess.
Delicate silk rose petals, of waltzing butterflies across turquoise crystalline waves of our ocean home, your heartbeats happily dance in the ballroom of my heart, in graceful movements and enchanting elegance, for my eyes get lost in your beauty, my marvelous creature.
Tequila sunrise of bright rays illuminate the diaphanous gazes of our inner child, merging their empathy in a bouquet of cherry blossom pureness, my Aphrodite.
Seraphic mellifluous melodies and symphonies of songbirds serenading our love song, enveloped in a dreamscape of palm trees and white sand, reading your deepest thoughts through the book of your lunar irises, discovering
infinite horizons of incandescent colors of your being, in a canvas of breathtaking sensations along my spine in the core of my soul, my beautiful soul.
Elixir of love in lavender fragrances, inebriates our senses in a paradisiacal ecstasy of devotion, as fresh breezes caress our days, like wings of Cherubim angels, my great love.
We are the everlasting exhibition of the universe, a completion in its jasmine perfume of forever us.
Eternally you, the ocean of my breaths
my infinito

Where the paradisiacal angels reside.
A myriad of creatures, ebony and betide
A dinkum dissolute and a discreet divine,
A degree of dexterity, a denizen decline

Amidst the mahatmas and zeitgeist calls,
An indweller quests for lyricism thrall.
A martyrdom route, an incubus chase,
Eristic battles in the realm of grace

A proponent of verity, a wraith of anile,
Sought to indwell the hearts of enamel.
A sip of soma, a savor of seraglio supine,
Agnostic beyond, for the geist did shine.

Destructive metempsychosis, a mortal plight,
Internal battles, seeking inspirational light.
In the realm of the departed, desolate cries
A crybaby tears, but awe-inspiring skies

Departed souls, once heartsick and heartsore,
Find solace in the trust they restore.
For in the internal depths, a spark ignites.
And as the decedents rise, their souls bear flight.

Absolve afreets, the anxiousness abides,
Embrace the beatitude; sublimity resides.
Rawness of a sentimentalist, troubadour song,
The immanence of duende is pantywaist wrong.

In the realm of the spiritual, the snarl of sin,
Is replaced by beatitude, the soul's win.
Spotless and unsullied, cleansed of all pain,
The spiritual journey is the ultimate gain.

They sully the cosmic force with opulence.
Yet, the sunny glow of bliss starts radiance.
A troll in the netherworld, forlornness abounds,
In the cognition of theosophy, the soul rebounds.

Paradisiacal

Tranquil
the ocean
sun sinks
sky orange-red
with distance
comes moon
each wave
mutes night
circling gulls
waves and air
water and evening
infinite horizon...

Everything
utters night
losing shape
eyes closing
darkness in wind
each wave
the water
sky and moon
go together
with these words
I paint the sky dark...

Premium Member I Picked a Rose

In a lovely place paradisiacal,
where the softest showers bring
blooms that open up their petals
and then begin to sing
and shimmer in synchronization,
with undulating hues,
vocalizing for their Maker their
sweet melodious tunes. . . .
is where I saw you first,
fair flower- among that radiant cluster,
echoing your praise
with all the fervor you could muster.

You resided in a spot,
slightly shaded. .. .on the border,
where ornamental shrubbery
lent an immaculate order.
Not amidst the pansies
or the other annual flowers
that glimmer for their time
but need rest at pre-set hours.. .
but there with the stalwart bushes,
unobtrusive in your pose -
A simple classic beauty;
for my guide, I picked a rose.

(For my mother, who is a very spiritual, faithful and modest
woman and a very immaculate housekeeper as well! This poem imagines
that we might select our parents before we are born! by the way, my mom turned 90 this past March 23rd!)

Sampaguita, Eternal For a While

Sampaguita...for the shortest while, eternal;

           blissful enigma, serene beauty,

                       paradisiacal.

Dew-kissed white petals lift its fragrant oblation,

               gratitude, prayer and hope

                     of a troubled nation.

Blossoming, beaming upward to see the sky smile,

Involves words as you close your eyes the Word-guide leads you.
Each spoken or read word is like soothing oil for your tired soul.
You feel the comfort as well the love as the Word-guide caresses you.
Beautiful plant life likes never seen before gives your inner-soul total bliss.
Fragrance like never smelled before opens up your senses as flowers sing.
Smooth flowing river adding the background beat while you stand at the
shoreline.
You feel so at ease because your heart wants this glorious moment to last
forever.
Just to walk daily with no worry, no confusions and all other letdowns that creates
stress.
Replay this with universal music to lead your mind to that special quiet place
within you.
Continue to pray, because the Greatest Creator did promise that for his earthly
children.
