Ancient Hero, Firm And Honorable Til Death
Twas not roses painted bright red upon his shield
he that with great courage refused to ever yield;
with beating heart and full faith in his saving God
slayed monstrous beasts, going where only heroes trod
with no complaint of hardest sacrifices made,
he gave back no ground and bright red-blood wet his blade.
Family crest of roses and red bird of prey.
Its motto, 'True to our beloved God we stay'.
Decades flown by, great battles fought under red sun
bravery gave strength to finish what was begun;
strongest spirit with true soul to match and hold true
to the solemn vows and painful costs surely due
his right arm, servant of Light, Truth and Divine God,
with love of family and his faith, his firm rod.
Family crest of roses and red bird of prey.
Its motto, 'True to our beloved God we stay.'
War's end, dusk of last decade under cloud's cover
would be pride and pain greatest to lifelong lover;
fiercest and most wicked was the very last foe,
The Serpent King blithely cast gods and angels low;
most prized the triumph or most abject the defeat,
in driving rain the greatest challenge he would meet.
Family crest of roses and red bird of prey.
Its motto, 'True to our beloved God we stay'.
Unclean was the battle and untold was its cost,
lives of men and monsters were sacrificed, not lost;
The Ancient Hero stood and faced The Serpent King,
final bloody battle he knew would bring death's sting;
perished with his bane, war's demons and gods destroyed,
mightiest foe with him he took into the void.
Family crest of roses and red bird of prey.
Its motto, 'True to our beloved God we stay'.

In A Darkened Attic Room
In attic room, one window tightly shut,
Dwells broken heart hidden from future pain.
Bare as a savage brute's dark, empty hut-
Condemned to no hope, no future, no gain.
Where rests such perilous fear darkness reigns;-
Shattered dreams give rise to dark illusions.
Hope rejected brings its most wicked stains,
Evil held, births its blackest conclusions.
Grown in decay until nothing remains,
Yet sad hope is better than none at all.
True love waits the bliss it always contains,
Treasures gifted, one only has to call.
If one ray of love's light but filters in
Love brings life and its promises again.

I am very pleased to present a fourth collaboration
with great poet and friend, Robert Lindley.
Only Robert's mighty pen and personal encouragement
could possibly have inspired me to venture
beyond my more familiar Free Verse.
Thank you, Robert, for your great inspiration

Dear freedom, your sweet innocent voice seems
Now like a distant echo, lost in the wind.
Hopes lost in a set of broken dreams,
With heavy chains, to your heart of stone pinned.
Day by day, night by night, without an end in sight,
Tortured by the ravaging beak of time, flying
With wings of solit'de, displaying its might,
And hatred-filled eyes, watching me dying.
These chains around my heart like a vicious snake
Poisoning my soul with darkness and despair.
A dreadful nightmare from which I will wake
And look into destiny's most wicked glare.
I stand under shadows cast by heaven's light,
And into sleep I fade, witho't a fight.
Haunting notes
Pacify enchanted souls
Modal blues palliate
The most wicked of heart...

God Sends Promises and Love
God sends rain, snow , all kinds of weather
sweet love that brings us all together
A miracle or two when we so badly need it
gardens of fruits if we but weed it!
God gifts our lives with our sweet kids
pulls us up when our lives hit the skids
Brushes us off with gentle mercies divine
blesses us with good food and his wine!
God sent love by way of his Savior Son
miracles of love not to ever be outdone
Rainbows showing promises very sublime
a reward of love and eternity in time!
God stands the Rock that meets our needs
Forgives us of even the most wicked deeds!

Just imagine...
Ambling mazily
Through an uncharted no man's land
Wrecked by the most wicked of drought
A screaming agony of thirst has befallen you
Your spirit is steadily draining out of you
Every ounce of your sweat, your life
Oozing profusely out of your pores
A slow, cruel death is sure to come to you
An oasis is nowhere in sight, then a raindrop
As if like magic, drips between your eyes
And trickles down your nose, then your upper lip...
You taste it with your curled tongue
You sigh with relief, you dance with joy
Thinking a cloudburst would follow
You tilt your head up, close your eyes
And stick out tongue, waiting...and waiting...
To satiate your intense thirst, at last
And then nothing? No rain.
Isn't that a pity?

From weariness of toil, what a joy I feel
Having heard of a voice with such a magical spell
So melodious and dulcet like a tinkling bell
Surely it does not sound an ominous knell.
To me her voice is pristine and pure
Every word I wait, for it means so sure
Bereft not nor devoid of beauty, it lures
Transcending my soul to a misty lair of grandeur.
How I wish to be bound in your warm embrace
All my woes and worries vanish without a trace
Your voice can make me come or tarry as I choose
Just tell me the words your heart lets loose
Nothing will I ask for but an ineffable joy
With you my soul entangles even the most wicked ploy.
It's not just the poetry of you I love, but
the subtle nuances 'neath your warm demeanor,
the way your breath kisses the nape of my neck
whilst you gently brush my hair aside my eyes
looking intently into them with the intensity
like I've felt from none other man's intentions,
how your lips coax the most wicked tendencies
& the mere sound of your voice makes me tremble,
in the way you covet my body with lustful bliss
when your desirous hunger is at full thrusting,
and the fiery familiar glances between our sighs
midst consummately surrendered breathlessness
I am misery, who despises company.
I am the truth, who portrays lies.
I am the pain, that never subsides,
I am death that never dies.
I am disgusting, in the most beautiful sense.
I am stunning through despicable eyes.
I am elegant, in the most wicked way.
I am righteous, through evil ties.
I am pretty, through eyes of the blind.
I am special, through psychotic minds.
I am loved, in the hearts of the unkind.
I am the never of nothing defined.
Jeffery Snerd Runs for City Council
By Elton Camp
No doubt, of him you must have heard
The candidate’s name is Jeffery Snerd
He has lived in this State all of his life
And he has a local woman as his wife
Of children, they have produced four
Ten grandchildren and expecting more
Jeff goes to church two times a week
When he sees you, he’ll always speak
Earns his living at the auto parts store
He has never run for any office before
But freedom from the least selfish greed
Is the only qualification that he does need
He is a perfect model of civic pride
By all the laws he’ll faithfully abide
Jeff never had even a hint of scandal
There isn’t anything he can’t handle
When to the city council he does rate,
Snerd will bring new jobs to the state
Federal spending he will get in check
And give President Obama the heck
Nancy Pelosi he will drive away
She will have naught more to say
To abortion he will bring an end
If you will make Jeff your friend
Illegal immigration he will stop
Back to Mexico they all will hop
Osama Bin Laden he will grab
And other terrorists quickly nab
Jeff will lower taxes right away
Public trust he will never betray
Foreign aid need not be sought
Since his vote can’t be bought
Foreign leaders he will soon tell
Very politely, “You can go to hell.”
With paying high taxes we are thru
Agreements with you won’t renew
It will be so much to Jeff’s praise
Politicians will get no more raise
Your tax burden he’ll quickly slice
For it, you won’t have to ask twice
That he’s best, here’s a reason why
Never in his life has Jeff told a lie
And such an excellent person as he
Standing for office you seldom see
Besides, it you take a close look
His opponent is little but a crook
His first wife had to get a divorce
Cause he beat her so bad, of course
And other people, I have heard tell,
Know he is a most wicked infidel
All are aware that he is a sorry fink
A sot, he loves evil liquor to drink
Jeffery Snerd is the man of the hour
Solve our problems. Put him in power
For this virtuous man of such great note
Please contribute and give him your vote
This Olden Soul, Still Follows That Greatest Quest
Sad that time did so often this old heart pierce
rising ire, setting fire to burn so fierce,
yet within that red-hot cauldron high hopes rose
following enchanting dreams of sweet repose.
Where softest of morns turned to dreaded long days
with a nudge and kick, beauty comes and sashays,
and under moon's bright glow and resplendent lights
hope's depths and lover's heart steer truest joy those nights.
Now time has done its most wicked, damning best
this olden soul, still follows that greatest quest,
reach mountain top and see valley far below
accept all, and let hope's truth forever grow!
Now fierce fires, no longer burn inner heart
spirit finds calming peace, wisdom it imparts.

Sonnet, ( When Peace Is Allowed To Flourish)
Note- Look back to see the dark shadows fly away. For yesterday's sun shone brighter than was first seen. If one finds sorrow and darkness that so betray.
Search again, for that future promise so clearly felt as an innocent teen...
(I can't vouch for anything about the afterlife, but I like to think this is true)
How does the soul enter heaven?
I think first of all one must ask
if the soul goes directly to heaven.
Going elsewhere may first be their task.
For theology learned in my childhood,
I think souls go first to a place
where they wait for the day of great judgment,
and old loved ones are there to embrace.
Yes, waiting in a new dimension,
I think are our dearly departed,
and in this place I believe
are souls basically good-hearted.
Souls truly evil go elsewhere -
to some type of prison where they
will wait, suffering for their sins
until the great judgment day.
I think that, in fact, all will suffer
some guilt for the pain they caused others,
but those, by God’s grace, who repented,
go straight with good sisters and brothers.
The most righteous souls to the Father
will later assuredly go
while only the very most wicked
will go with the devils below.
I do not believe in a fire
where souls go to endlessly burn.
It’s where we deserve to be that we’ll go.
Until judgment day, all wait their turn.

Two beings feel like they are divine pairs..
Met each other...so very compatible in every way...
Feeling never expressed...
It was all said by the unheard music from universe...
Their union was more than merging into the absolute...
Such immense pleasure...adrenalin is not known about ..
It's all love potion...
Then ...sorry...the next one standing there on the other side ...
Seems to be God chosen one...
Ohh must be fate...
Suddenly poor loved one is discarded like a rotting banana peel...
Lies and coverage know no bound to possess the other...
Hunger for the flesh was never so raw...
Passion is alight...anything for that.
No dignity, no common sense, no values, no scrupules...
The former is the most wicked, most undesirable and can even be bartered with another man to be eliminated...
Just look into this poor soul eyes, disbelief dilates its eyes more than hurt...all the magic...gone
Suddenly the cherished ones as the just enemies...
To protect the newcomer, the apple of the eyes is called names...
Humiliation is as if not enough...
Stories are cooked for justifications...
Anything is fair to achieve this new bloom of love..
Is it love after all,
Where's that first love gone...soulmate looks just garbage now.
Weird change of heart if it changes like garment on the body.
Aye, Tis Light And Love That Again Sets To So Be
What wretched power seeks to extinguish true light
Still the poetic heart, ban into dark of night
Vanquish erupting of essence from human soul
Shall one pity for whom that sinister bell tolls
Aye, tis of dark and most wicked curse such so be
That innocence be cast into a blacken sea.
From what deep abyss does such calamity arise
Dares steals bright, glowing beauty from bluest sky
Tis that power a phantom from Hades thus born
A shadow, a slave cast to fruit only life scorn
Aye, tis of dark and most wicked curse such so be
That innocence be cast into a blacken sea.
Surely from below, a netherworld's waiting curse
Or minions of Hades, charged to seed even worse
Invisible monster that moon's beauty denies
Seeding into life, cold baskets of evil lies
Aye, tis of dark and most wicked curse such so be
That innocence be cast into a blacken sea.
Cannot truth destroy that war upon broken heart
And restore the love and hope within human heart
Yet again gift Nature's beauty and light of dawn
Reveal earth's wonders and sight of speckled fawn
Aye, tis Light and Love that again sets to so be
That innocence be not cast into poison sea.
