We Wait Till the Great Judgment Day
(I can't vouch for anything about the afterlife, but I like to think this is true) How does the soul enter heaven? I think first of all one must ask if the soul goes directly to heaven. Going elsewhere may first be their task. For theology learned in my childhood, I think souls go first to a place where they wait for the day of great judgment, and old loved ones are there to embrace. Yes, waiting in a new dimension, I think are our dearly departed, and in this place I believe are souls basically good-hearted. Souls truly evil go elsewhere - to some type of prison where they will wait, suffering for their sins until the great judgment day. I think that, in fact, all will suffer some guilt for the pain they caused others, but those, by God’s grace, who repented, go straight with good sisters and brothers. The most righteous souls to the Father will later assuredly go while only the very most wicked will go with the devils below. I do not believe in a fire where souls go to endlessly burn. It’s where we deserve to be that we’ll go. Until judgment day, all wait their turn. Feb. 3, 2023 For the 'How Does The Soul Enter Heaven? ' Poetry Contest
