I Should Have, Pen In Hand, Wet Paper As Before

Mercy, what a sad loss, no ink had stained white page
and rolling stone catches no moss, cries wise old sage.
I should have, pen in hand, wet paper as before
for my vanished bits fled to invisible shores.
I have new computer, paid for with extra cash
ah but, such did nothing to stop the recent crash!

So with this information I will now stack up
wet ink stained pages as my non-digital back up.
Maybe even carve important verse in hard stone
losing precious time, I see, I was not alone.
Add that crash to old poet's other worldly woes
with the other sad troubles we verse writers know!

Fear not friends, lesson learned from digital loss.
Cavities are an ugly bane, so please do floss.

Note: Now with very little precious time to be on board here, this site's recent crash gained in importance to me. Waking this morn at 2:15 am I logged on to read here and decided to write a bit.
Looking back at it now, I see a valuable lesson learned.
And I'd much rather get hit by a little pebble than a large boulder... 
I guess my grandfather's advice applies here.  He said, Son look at it this way, 
when your world seems too dark and sad troubles are at your door,
remember they come and go and are clear evidence that you are still alive- so be grateful for that..

EVERY BODY'S NEW YEAR.

There is something, something going on
No one knows it, but something is wrong

Everybody  around to end the year
Celebrating this year last cheer
Counting from 10-1, forgetting 2012 is near

The ignorance of this world has hit again.
Spreading happiness through every window pane
Sending hugs and kisses to every friend
Forgetting the feelings of the times we felt insane

Relaxing to the joy we create.
Acting like we enjoyed every day.
Passing smiles on this one day 
This day, the whole world celebrates
For this one day we all await
Asking to shake the hands of the ones we hate
Forgetting about the worlds ~2012~ due' date
Cheer from me before it gets too late

Leap Year

Boss, being as this is leap year
and Feb 29th is an extra day
do I have to work tomorrow?
tomorrow being an EXTRA day

He says,  take your appeal 
to the big man upstairs
he invented 365 days
and these pesty leap years

With all due respect, I reply
I thought it was the Greek culture
Not the the big man upstairs
that invented "time" as we know it

(I didn't REALLY say that, I just thought it)

BUT, I say, it's an EXTRA day
kinda like SATURDAY?
do you expect me to work
SATURDAY?

So he says, look at it this way
most months are 30 or 31 days long
so really, you are working a short month
only 29 days long

I have to admit
this crap makes sense
so I give up my appeal
concerned that I might
if I don't keep quiet
end up owing money in the deal

Not everyone can live life in the “intense” mode
It taxes their emotions, and that they cannot bode

They want to be laid back and take things in their stride
So they tuck away their hearts and then run and hide

Intense people are a drain of time and energy
But if you want to see intense, take a look at me

Moments in life with emotions and thoughts are laced
Intensity kisses time, makes it sweetly paced

Sometimes my intensity…can be quite "INTENSE"
Embodiment of passion: woman with no "sense"

But look at it this way, and then you’ll get it right
Passion should be intense, anytime day or night

Think of it and imagine… that long scorching kiss 
When you are pleasured, intensity you’ll not miss

Think of how you’re wanted with intense desire
Intensity makes eternal flames from fire

Intensity of thought will make you feel profound
It’s what will make you soar high...up above the ground

Intensity gives meaning to moments in time
Makes you intensely long to live in the sublime

Intense adoration will be a nat’ral thing
Love will be intense and fulfillment it will bring

Intense caressing: love making to the extreme
Desire drenched in real life and not just a dream

Intense, intense, a curse or is it a blessing sweet?

Sixty Year Old Choice

"You've got six months, nine at the most.
If you opt for chemo, we could stretch it some.
Maybe a couple of years, 
but first six months of serious treatments."

When he said nine months
I thought that's the normal prenatal life
So I have possibly a pregnancy left.
Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

Let's see two years minus six months 
minus maybe some more for recovery from chemo.
Or nine months of wondering,
could this be the day?

My neighbor was sick as a dog for most treatments.
She couldn't eat; she couldn't sleep.
Just a forever burning sensation, dry, lifeless, pain

My cousin said his was not so bad, but
then he died only two months afterward,and
they had said he might live five years.

My last nine months, what will I do?
I will get ready to die - prepare to enter a new life.
Wait a minute ...
I am doing that already ever since
I decided to put my trust in God's Son.
My eternal life began at that moment sixty years ago.

I will tell everybody I know how good God is.
But I have cancer; is cancer good?
I look at it this way. 
Cancer is a chapter -
the last nine months of my life on earth.
It defines me and with
God's help I can deal with it - 
without chemo.
He has a plan and cancer is 
part and parcel of it.

The rest is just guesswork.

My Life Is Like a Puzzle

My life is like a puzzle,
That doesn’t seem to fit.
Trying different pieces,
Completing it bit by bit.
Some pieces go here and some go there,
This is driving me crazy.
But I know I have to finish it,
So I can’t afford to be lazy.
My life is like a puzzle,
But when you look at it this way,
It’s also like the Earth,
Changing everyday.

Nobody inside the joint desires to see your face.
You were found guilty of a patron’s infraction.
Ostracism has been the result of this action.
The house does not want scavengers around the machines.
Taking unclaimed money results in undesirable scenes.
This hotel casino is one you must be passing.

Well, for something good, look at it this way:

if you stop crying into today's beer,

The Music Inside Him Is What Will Lead Him

(I wrote this for my good friend Jeremy, God bless him always)

An inspiration, a motivation.
He's one of my great little creations

The music inside him
is the voice that defines him.

It comes from his soul
and has taken control
and it's brought him so far,
he doesn't know where to go..

I tell him don't worry,

come on, what's the hurry?
Can't you see? to everyone, you look so blurry.

You're way up ahead
and they try to reach you
but you just keep going
like nothing can beat you.

So look at it this way
you're leading them your way
and it's taking them far,
much farther than their way.

So keep going your way
and then guess what I'll say
As you keep coming my way,
I promise that I'll stay.

Parents Are Hipacrites

These parent try to tell their kids that they are imuture, but parents dont look at it this way, When a 17(Girl) and a 19(Boy) year old couple take their love to the next level by having a baby and getting married, the parnet thinks they can still control the 17 year old girl, But she doesnt understand how they can tell her what is right and what is wrong, When they make gambleing their top pioratiy. At Least the 17 year old girl and the 19 year old boy doesnt put gambling as their top prioratiy or even think about it. They try to tell her and him what to do with their money and then they have enough balls to ask if they can have money from them and they always say NO because they no where it will go and the parents get mad.... So who is the muture one here in this sitution??? Comment with any advise

It's Ok To Be Sad

“It’s OK to be sad...”

It’s OK to be sad, for then happiness is given its proper perspective;
although it might not seem that way right now, when up feels only
a bit less down. 

Down there is not the best place to be, at least when you’re there; but
it gives your feet a place to stand while the hunger pains of sorrow
churn you up inside.

Look at it this way: come what may, up there beckons and calls, a land 
of sunlight that you’ll explore in due time, when your tears stop making
the steps all slippery.

And when you walk again on pastures green, with a warm back and 
breezy stride, keep a little of the sadness in a box inside just to check on,
now and then.

It’s a reminder of Will Shakespeare’s sage advice to disengage the 
gears between the ears (I know it’s hard): Nothing is good or bad but 
thinking makes it so.

Son won't show his report card;

Severely punish;
Send him to bed with no food;
We should do to Trump.

In infantile stage;
Seems to be his latest rage;
Turn book to next page.

Am sure you will find
Trump's idiosyncrasies;
Defense mechanisms.

An inferior complex
And so much low self-esteem;
Always abnormal.

Without any doubt
Should impeach and then throw out;
Wash him from our hair.
