Best Lavender Poems
You taste as if twilight were—
lavender swirling like smoke from the earth
licorice lingering with the full moon’s soft pull
a sweetness both dark and divine.
Your skin sparkles with starlight
electric and soft as moth wings.
We sip the pink sky
lemonade lakes cascade through our fingers
time unspools between our hands
while the past drinks from our open palms.
The air crackles with floating florets
each breath a promise, unspoken but heard.
If love were a color it'd be you—
violet and velvet
honey and slow-mountain dew
the universe holds its breath;
galaxies halt their ancient waltz
as they struggle to name us.
And if forever had a flavor
it would stain my tongue—
sweet, dark, endless—
a love so vast
even creation forgets what came before it.
We are the first poem ever written
and the last song left unsung
our love the verse that never fades—
Just like lavender licorice and lemonade lakes.
I can see a sunny day
The air is crisp and clear and warm
It permeates my skin
Infusing every single pore
with lavender of light
Every wing of every bird
glides in feathered harmony
Every flower beckons
and honey glistens every hive
as busy bee’s parade
It’s not just in my memory
this day of golden shine
Through silver beaded drops of rain
and clouds of shadowed fate
I see it up ahead
I feel that sunny day
and with its keen embrace
I’ll hold onto its ever present kiss
To not look back and not regret
and linger in the dawn
A cord had been stretched, from our hearts to the moon
across foolish years, to a life far beyond
It coiled around a chair, down the hall, past the door,
that were groomed by the light of a bright afternoon
I was floating on the sea of cold hardwood
Prone on my back, on a lavender rug
Examining the nail of my left-hand thumb
with a phone at my ear, and faith in the unknown
You had aced your exams, now we were making our plans,
only tied to a kiss, by a small ivory phone
With a ring on my finger, that would bind foolish hearts,
that were blinded by love, without worry or fear
Invitations were mailed, a church was on hold
There was a cake made to order, and a world unexplored
You were glued to my ear, I was wrapped by a thread
that tugged on my heart by a long-distance word
The light from the yard was scored by the blinds
but, there on the floor, our world was sublime
I was bound by a cord that tethered all time
To a life yet to live, but together we'd find
I was linked to your voice, by a young foolish heart
While I sailed on a sea to a lavender star

Mother would tuck into each dresser drawer,
a bar of soap, to scent the clothes..
The familiar fragrance of English Lavender would fill the air
The small bedroom, a bit cramped..a bit shabby, but comfortably familiar.
The faded chintz curtains and the cover on the four poster, was a primrose yellow...
and the wallpaper striped in blue and white.
There would be marguerite daisies in a jug on the dressing table..
Next to a framed photo of five, smiling young cousins..
all scrubbed, with shining faces, dressed for church, one Easter morning.
Over on the north wall hung a painting of Willowby Pond...
so pleasant to look at, just before falling to sleep.
Here I stand once again, having things so familiar, so much the same
I take a deep breath, recalling the sense of home, the fragrance of lavender
Like slipping into an old pair of slippers,
after spending the day wearing high heeled shoes
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Beauty
The fields of lavender
purge their purple souls
in rolling rows
as they steal your breath.
She was once like they...
transparent, innocent of knowing
her beauty matched theirs
and could make you weep.
In a vast sea of scents and sights
poetry floats to the top
gathering sunrays
as if they were tangible.

silence is broken
before morning sheds first light
chirping in the tree
dulcet tunes begin to trill
the world dreams, except for me

Fell from the heavens to blanket
The cold hard ground
The steel and concrete are
Soaked, like pillows, from the rain.
Like the flower girl before
The procession who spreads
The warmth with her fingertips,
Something, someone dawned on me
The truth.
And slowly, my heart unthawed.
It was no longer callous,
No longer cold.
I thank the messenger,
An angel of sorts,
Who injected her wisdom
Into my shriveled veins.
And brought back
The dying hope
In what I was living for.
Sa aking mahal na bituin. (Filipino)
Sunset
casts lavender
hues across lustrous sea,
then brushes clouds as bustling day
falls still.

~ Beautiful Spring Flowers ~
Thursday February 11th, 2021- Poem of the Day
Breezes WHISPER in the trees after cleansing rain;
FRAGRANCE of Wisteria WAFTS following rain
Thoughts of my love's LILTING bass voice WAFTING brings BLISS,
As FRAGRANT Wisteria comes with flowing rain
As SPLENDOR of sun peeking from behind a cloud;
The bright glow and warmth is as TRANQUILIZING rain
DULCET sun melts cares better than TRANQUILIZER___
Better even after a spring soft washing rain
ELOQUENCE of my love's romantic poems soothes the heart,
SUNFLOWER listens through LAVENDER flowing rain.
Lavender shades are reflected
In the shy sparkle of your eyes.
As dawn reveals still purple hills
In early morn's gloaming skies.
Tall pines envelope us with bird songs
In harmony's league with the wind.
Lovers kissing in silhouette,
As two souls intertwined ascend,
Rising beyond. . .lavender skies
A sacred dimension unseen.
As above so below we seek
To keep divine love in between.
By this sacred love we’ve been blessed
To share such happiness given.
Two hearts with twin aspirations
Shall dwell on Earth as in Heaven.

Lavender-rose violet skies!
Oh, to be met each day like this.
Deliciousness feeding the eyes -
lavender-rose violet skies.
Something to savor at sunrise -
the flavor of pre-breakfast bliss -
lavender-rose violet skies.
Oh, to be met each day like this!

If the Mediterranean waves could carry me to your arms
I'd wake up to your whispers enchanted by your charms.
If the wafting wind could breeze me to your bed
Our longing lips would kiss and hiss,in hungry emotions wed.
If this love I feel could linger in your heart
We'd live our dulcet dreams, and never be apart.
If I could be with you and you could be with me
We'd watch the stars at night, twinkling tranquility
sparkling with secret splendour our blissful destiny.
If we could be together longer than forever
I'd hold on to your hand,be your sufficient other
your dedicated lover ,and even your bestfriend.
I'll be your daily listener, your passion and romance
I'd love you to infinity,to universal ends.
If we could lie together on gossamer soft sand
on threaded silken sheets ,embrace on sun-kissed land
If we could stroll along the empty shore ,share a song and dance
We'd toss each coloured pebble ,and pick -up broken shells.
If I could call out your name,to hear your voice in answer everyday.
If I could turn around to find you standing there looking my way.
If I could be with you to live the promise of today
Tomorrow,I'd still be there...A lavender in your grey.
Not a bio :)Just in case.
If I could fly on Summer's breeze
and leave behind my selfish pleas
Glimpse Nature's handiwork supreme
See the Earth in different themes,
Nature's weave and magical tease.
I'd sit at night on blossomed trees
Watch Heaven's stars alight with ease
then race a passing, bright moonbeam
If I could fly...
On fragrant breeze, find Summer's keys
Open wings of lavender leaves
No longer tied to worldly schemes
Just Breeze and I to search for dreams
Watch magic woven by degrees.
If I could fly...
