‘far from the madding crowds’ and cars
this ‘green and pleasant’ land of ours

conceals behind its dry stone walls
secrets, streams and waterfalls

where stepping stones that gather moss
‘shine forth’ and tempt us both across

to distant fields of eighties’ skies
now clouded through autumnal eyes

where sheep still bleat as we both pass
along old paths of weathered grass

rekindling thoughts as each track weaves
of first love, hope and burning leaves

that once infused a simpler air
but linger still inside somewhere

to guide us on those wistful miles
through woods, past farms and over stiles

in search of where we sat and spent
time dreaming dreams of dreams we dreamt

over the hills and far away
inside a world called yesterday

and where we’d stay ‘til light turned late
in fields beyond the kissing gate

where now through gentle smiles and tears
reflecting on those forty years

it feels like time has flown so fast
since young love asked if love could last.

Premium Member Spring Petals Kissing Dawns Air - a Collaboration With Charmaine Chircop

When miserable clouds assemble,
bursting with drops of sorrow,
gusts of torment bring dark tides to your door.
You feel hope is like forgotten pennies,
lost at the bottom of a wishing well.

Arrows of anxiety keep firing
at your muddled mind.

When you feel trapped inside your head,
monsters lurk inside -
take a pace back.
Release each arrow from the bow.
Let all the pain be washed
by rivers from the rain -
as all bruises heal.

The smell of petrichor will inspire you,
your mind an estuary, hydrating on positive drops,
will replace soaring floods of negative emotions -
as glowing sun rays of love warm your face.

Through anything, through anywhere,
through anyone, reach thunder through your storm.
Let bolts of lightning shake the earth -
ground your soul firmly.

Even when there is no light,
an internal flame yearns to rekindle,
like spring petals kissing dawn's air.

In Love, Our Romance Flows In Kissing Streams,
Poets Tribute Series, fourth poet, Lord Byron

Claim I, thy wondrous heart into sweet dreams,
And in that soft glowing realm we slow dance;
In Love, our romance flows in kissing streams,
As Cupid's well-shot arrows took no chance.
From this teeming earth we dwell in pleasures,
While life lays golden bounty at our feet;
We wake to dawn's glory- its great treasures,
Finding welcome cheer in all that we meet.
Sky awards us its most heavenly blues,
Nature cries out its joy to our pairing,
Flowers parade forth their brightest of hues,
Our faithful Love is in this, our Sharing.

In our dreams we are eternally slow-dancing.
In our bedroom, eternally true-romancing.

We are bound as kind souls forever true,
As a bird pair, that in blue heavens soars;
You touched my hand and then deep Love I knew,
Triumphs beyond paradise's hidden shores.
This our great blessing, a gift preordained,
Its gleaming morns, as bright as shining dew,
May we this true bliss forever retain
Beauty, as our sweet longings we renew.
Come to me my Love- let thy hand seek mine
Allow yet again, lips that beg thy touch,
For within thy glow, I too can soft shine,
Souls at peace, cherishing life very much.

In our dreams we are eternally slow-dancing.
In our bedroom, eternally true-romancing.

Kissing a Fat Woman

Kissing the lips of a fat woman
Is delicious like Tania
It feels like sliding on the slippery floor
But you only will not fall miserably

Kissing her cheeks feels like sucking an ice cream
Hugging a fat woman feels like hugging a mattress
It feels comfortable like the sofa set
Hugging her feels like hugging a novel pillow

Taking her by the hand
Is not taking the cow by the horn
It’s as comfortable as the King’s walking stick
Touching her garment, means you are alive

After loving a fat woman
I did not buy an ice cream
My mattress was no longer comfortable before hugging her
I had to hug her to add to the comfort of my mattress

When she is not there
I am never healed and pass away
She is my comfort zone
A day without her; I kick the bucket

ISLAND GIRL

(Tropical acoustic vibe, laid-back but emotionally charged)

[Intro]
(Acoustic guitar, soft island beat building in)
Island girl...

[Verse 1]
Island girl, I’ve got my eyes on you,
Loving the way you move, babe, so smooth.
Longing for your hand, take my song,
Take me where you belong, come on.
Together, island girl, just me and you,
We can groove, baby, we can find our groove.

[Pre-Chorus]
Girl, you don’t know what you’ve been missin’,
But when I catch you, babe, it’s all night kissin’.
Feelin' those waves, goin' deep sea fishin’,
Makin' love, island girl, we’re on a mission.

[Chorus]
Island girl, you’re the one I adore,
You’ve got my heart, and so much more.
Your heat, turnin' me to steam,
To gaze at you, girl, it’s like a dream.
I’ll bring the ice, we’ll melt together,
Tropical nights, girl, now and forever.

[Verse 2]
Sweet island girl, you’re all in my dreams,
Your touch so tender, like warm summer beams.
To hold you close, under the stars,
Where we’re lost in love, no matter how far.
Tropical tunes and a lover’s sound,
Baby, with you, I’m never comin' down.
I melt into your almond eyes,
Lost in the glow of your gaze tonight.

[Pre-Chorus]
Girl, you don’t know what you’ve been missin’,
But when I catch you, babe, it’s all night kissin’.
Feelin' those waves, goin' deep sea fishin’,
Makin' love, island girl, we’re on a mission.

[Chorus - Shortened]
Island girl, you’re the one I adore,
You’ve got my heart, girl, and so much more.
Your heat, turnin' me to steam,
To gaze at you, girl, it’s like a dream.

(Short instrumental break)

[Bridge]
(Spoken softly, with background harmonies)
Underneath the moon, where the waves roll in,
I’m callin’ your name, and I can’t wait to begin.
Let’s drift away, just you and I,
In this island dream, we’ll never say goodbye.
I melt into your almond eyes,
And in that gaze, all our time flies.

[Chorus - Outro]
Island girl, you’re the one I adore,
You’ve got my heart, and so much more.
Your heat, turnin' me to steam,
To gaze on you, girl, it’s like a dream.

(Fading into soft instrumental as waves crash gently)
Island girl...
Island girl...

Premium Member Kissing Snowflakes

Like ballerinas airdropped from on high,
Snowflakes pirouette to damask the air,
Tutued geometries dimpling the sky,
Veil our stinging eyes with arabesque fair.
Downy fields we walk, where aureoles tide,
And white breaths upon your face softly flare.
As my swooning kiss to your frail smile dips,
A wayward prism alights upon your lips.

Kissing Lips

Kisses kisses, Christmas wishes…

Underneath the mistletoe,

Kiss me high, kiss me low;

Read my lips with your fingertips…

Dip me in wine as we combine,

Show me yours, I’ll show you mine…

In the back seat of Santa’s sleigh,

Let’s enjoy the festive foreplay.

"The Kissing Loop"

My eyes close to keep you there
in a dream slow dancing, bow and cello we waltz in air
bending you closer into my body
like this pea soup fog embracing me
I walk quiet streets surrounded
by Mountains of Blue
the fat bellied pregnant clouds deliver
a life that is verdant, that is new

a new day is born
through some kind of Light storm

grey mist in a teacup of a town
I am walking in the clouds
this could be some kind of heaven
high up in my beautiful kingdom
free as a bird gliding silently
down quiet streets besieged by
beguiling story unfurling
in forests of blues lavenders and greens

train departs at 3
train departs at 3

Blue Highway at the Cross Roads
Where time is easy, fresh air to breathe

The record in my mind that plays
over grooves cracked for a thousand and more days
where the kissing loop repeats it’s mission repeats it’s mission
some kind of erudite Sanskrit, like kissing walls Aramaic, another foreign language
but you’ll hear the message if you quiet your mind and your heart listens
Love is in every step taken
One step forward 3 step back

The Kissing Loop that’s been playing it’s oneiric
"Blue Highway at the Cross Roads"
is right on track

train departs at 3
train departs at 3

and here stands me

Silver shiny, careful summer droplets
Caresses and cool their naked sunburned bodies
He kissed away all the drops

                                     Tenderness in his kiss
The rainbow, sunshine, thunder and rain
                                   Covered her with his kiss

Premium Member - Moisture Gently Kissing Your Glowing Sunlight -

When you have a beautiful beaming dream enter
the mouth smiles as together we drift away
As a moon face gets brighter accepting new beginnings

Flowers sway in your breathless air synchronized
by the spring music warmly breathing out sighs
Softly sunshine lifts our spirits free

Walking upon the yellow brick
road joining hands fingertips hold intertwining swans forever mate
Beauty on wings regal passion poesy on silk flowing sheets

Floating warmly dancing butterflies skip
under the tenderness softly embracing
Sharing sweet fluttering kisses from early morn unto late night

Heartbeats skip into one fire joining souls
in flowery band of white anemones binding us together one garland
Under a bridge bending heaven's sunshine colour baptised love

Premium Member Kissing In the Rain

rain’s paean is played
with lover’s tender kisses
cold breeze sways with grace

water on the ground
symphony of crystal drops
kisses warmth their heart

moonlight smiles with glee
dark clouds shower them with bliss
thunder drums so sweet

one heart and one soul
unselfishly shield, no fear
rain’s concluding hymn

Premium Member Kissing For the Killing of Can'T -

Destinies departing from one another
like memories falling asleep as new experience births the extremes of Eternity,
striding past ourselves with fingers extended wildly
trying terribly to grab hold of knuckles with certainty buckling
as disbelief transforms into the unloving knowledge of impossibility,

in a recess of rules we defy the momentum of the Game's gravity
praying not with confusion in our eyes but for pardon of our happy prank,
we have laughter within the drums of our souls,

placing my thumb onto the corner of her mouth
getting closer to her voice,
kissing my Spartan girl
as though she were a secret sunset balancing just for me,
not knowing if I'll ever have another,
kissing just for the sake of kissing her,
kissing for the hatred of heartache, for the heroics of Hope,
kissing while betraying Time's insults of hurriedness -

Premium Member Kissing the Blood of Battles

The phantoms collide
with your seeds of sobriety...
Their cackle intensifies
(barometer of your successes).
The golden brook is within your reach
at your denim fingertips.
So, reach dear one reach.
Like a star searching for its sweet burning heart.
Full of life and the living sweetness.
Fight on and fight hard
swing your roses at the sword
You're not alone, you never were.
That bird in the clearing sings your victory song.
Reach for it through the briar
I'll meet you in the center.
In the bowel of the storm
and kiss away the blood of your battles.

Kissing Rocks

(Seen at the aquarium)

Eye to eye

in a stony embrace,

two rockfish kissing,

face to face.
