You are my beautiful partner
You're such an amazing mum
Our family is so happy
Because we have lots of fun

This is due to you being so ace
A true inspiration to the human race
Jack, Jeni and Josh love you so
You're Our constant were letting you know

Our beautiful mummy bird
We can't say in just one word
Your fun your cool your fantastic
Always there not like elastic

You're a fixer a maker a doer at best
This we say without jest
We love you mummy with all our heart
Even when we are apart

I write this on thier behalf
As they're  too little like a baby calf
Sweet Josette don't change your way
From all of us Happy Mothers Day

'ouch'

A man found himself in a pickle
When his girlfriend found he was fickle
He said "won't you stay"
She said "there's no way"
As she took his head off with a sickle.

Premium Member She Said Yes

2017 comes to an end
I'm happy to be with my best friend
As you know her name is josette
The best friend a man could get

Loyal loving and great fun
Have a laugh in the rain or sun
My life my world she truly is
Now world you need to listen to this

On Christmas day she opened her prize
A diamond ring twinkled in her eyes
With a little note on the side
Will you marry me be my bride

With a tear shed in her eye
If she were Scottish she just said aye
But in English the words did flow
The answer world was not no

It was a big Yes to my big act
I love her so much that is a fact
United together we will now be
Forever and ever total unity

So friends and family we wish you well
2018 I hope will be swell
I know my years get better and better
Even if the weather is wetter and wetter

Happy new year from my fiance and I
I'm as happy as a man eating ale pie

Mother Nature's Lullaby

Fall came to my door today
In colors of red and gold.

The sky was clear
The air was crisp.

As I walked along a leave strewn path
I watched the squirrels play, listened to
The birds serenade and marvelled at
The beauty before me.

Some find Fall depressing
They say it speaks of death and ending.

But to me, It's just Mother Nature
Singing her children a lullaby
Before she sends them off to bed.

I Want To Live In a Castle

I want to live in a castle
Where only the strong survive
With turrets and towers
And joust by the hour
And a six foot mote outside.

I want to live in a castle
On a cliff beside the sea
And spend my days with
The Lords and Ladies who
Come calling each day for tea.

I want to live in a castle
On England's greenest hill
And join each day
All the people at play
And learn all their finest skills.

But I'll never live in a castle
It's Tennessee hills for me
With a four bedroom house
And a mortgage so vast
It would bring any knight
To his knees.

Thanksgiving

Let's bow our heads and pray
Today's Thanksgiving day.

Poor old turkey got the axe
Bet he wished he'd never been hatched.

Turkey, mashed potatoes, yams
Consume mass quantities but never ham.

Eat too much and pop your zipper
"Hey Honey, where's the Alka Seltzer"?

Mouse Rap

There's a mouse in my house
It just ran under the couch
I really hate to say it
But I don't think I can take it.

There's a mouse in my house
I'm really quite annoyed
There's some bread on the floor
It must have really enjoyed.

There's a mouse in my house
I just hit it with my shoe
It really seems quite dead now
Think I'll flush it down the loo.

It's Christmas Time

It's Christmas time again
Santa's reindeer ride again
Time for folks to shine again
In colors of red and green.

It's Christmas time again
Little kids with hopeful smiles
Sit on Santa's lap awhile
And wish for toys only dreamed of
In their midnight slumber.

I have to stop and think sometimes
If we had Christmas all the time
Would we always be this happy
Or would it start to fade.

Would the lights still shine as bright
Would Santa still seem so right
Would we even take the time to
Contemplate a virgin birth.

So let's keep Christmas in December
So we'll always remember
The birth of our Savior
So gentle, mild and tender.

Running Back To God

The world was a cold and lonely place
Never saw a friendly face
Everybody trying to keep the pace
But, I went running back to God.

No love, no sunlight could be found
Pain and hate were all around
Terror lived in every sound
But, I went running back to God.

I could have stopped and turned around
And to this sinful Earth be bound
But freedom, peace and love I found
When I went running back to God.

Saying Goodbye

Through summer nights
And winter days
Through springtime flowers
And autumn's golden haze
We lived together in war and peace.

But now you're gone
And I must stay
And face this cold, cruel world
Just me.

I've cried I grieved
Both night and day
But found there is no other way

To live my life the way God planned
Unless I take the upper hand

And live my life
Not just for thee
I also have to live for me.

I Knew

You walked away
With a laugh and a wave
Like nothing was happening

Complaining about the lack of beer
With the promise of a call.

But, I knew.

I knew there would be no call
I knew that our time together
Was over.

You never would have
Admitted it.

But, I knew.

Funeral

I stood today
And watched them say
'Goodbye' to you.

So many tears
So much sorrow
For a life so full
Of fun and laughter.

You would not have wanted that
All you would have wanted from us
Was a few smiles and happy memories.

Maybe some day
When the pain is not so fresh
There will be smiles
And we'll remember when.

But for today
We will have to be content
With our tears.

Mister Obama

Oh Mister Obama
Please listen to me
Your stimulus package
Does nothing for me.

My pockets are empty
My cupboards are bare
Though many around me
Have so much to share.

My bills, they keep mounting
With no end in sight
And all I can do
Is pray hard every night.

I live week to week
I live hand to mouth
Which is really quite normal
For us here in the South.

I don't want a hand out
I don't want your pity
But my paycheck each week
Is just itty bitty.

So Mister Obama
Won't you please help me
Before I'm buried in debt
Clear up to my knees?

The Land of Far Away

Off in the land of Far Away
Where rivers run and children play

Where deer and rabbit
Play in the sun
And never have a fear of the gun.

Where flowers bloom
In meadows green
With colors we have never seen.

Where sky's are blue
And clouds are white
Never is there any night.

Where rain and snow
Are out of season
And for this there is no reason

Except for the eternal love
That flows to Earth from God above.

And I'll meet you on some beautiful day
Off in the land of Far Away.

(forever and Ever) I'Ll Always Love You

My life began the day we met
The world, it looked brand new
Colors brighter, music sweeter
And all because of you.

You took a life of sadness
And you made it oh so sweet
But now your gone, and yet

I love you more with each passing day
Though God saw fit to take you away
When I think of our love. it still seems brand new
Forever and ever I'll always love you.

I still feel you close by my side
Though the pain's so deep it cuts like a knife.
When you went away my heart broke into little pieces
But I'll put those pieces back together because I know
Someday, we'll be together again
But until then.........

I'll love you more with each passing day
Though God saw fit to take you away
When I think of our love, it still seems brand new
Forever and ever I'll always love you.

Oh, when I think of our love
It still seems brand new
Forever and ever I'll always love you.
