Running Back To God

The world was a cold and lonely place
Never saw a friendly face
Everybody trying to keep the pace
But, I went running back to God.

No love, no sunlight could be found
Pain and hate were all around
Terror lived in every sound
But, I went running back to God.

I could have stopped and turned around
And to this sinful Earth be bound
But freedom, peace and love I found
When I went running back to God.

Josette, this is such an inspirational write! So glad I stopped by to read your wonderful poem. We'll never find peace or joy in worldly things and what a blessing to know that God is always waiting for us to turn back to Him. God Bless! Love, Kim
