come taste life ---------- Heart-warming wine
old and stale, ---------- Jot down a line
unflavored, unpolished, --------- Mood changes hue
A sour, dim shade --------- To sweet silver blue

the lowest feeling ---------- How high the cost
eternal gray sky ---------- How much is lost
hollow memories ---------- Back payment due
A sour, dim shade --------- To sweet silver blue

weak limbs, overpower ------- Head shake and sigh
moments of lights -------- None left to deny
everything ends -------- Insight in view
A sour, dim shade -------- To sweet silver blue

torn from reality -------- Somehow I gain
low spirits of sorrow -------- Beauty from pain
bitter and dull, --------- As thoughts turn to you
A sour, dim shade -------- To sweet silver blue

                                        In the middle
                                   a yellow moon smiles

                                   One - just one almond

                                    a surprise will receive

Sweet Silver Blue

Heart-warming wine
Jot down a line
Mood changes hue
To sweet silver blue

How high the cost
How much is lost
Back payment due
To sweet silver blue

Head shake and sigh
None left to deny
Insight in view
To sweet silver blue

Somehow I gain
Beauty from pain
As thoughts turn to you
To sweet silver blue

An Affair With Nature

Pass onto this thinking place
Pristine with luster and rhythmic textures
Bath in its heart-warming splendor
Here in this monolithic emerald patchwork
This relationship consoles your psyche
A pluck from here, a collection from there
A rack of tools and an now idle straw-hat
From the loam to dust that stick upon your shoes
A place to conceal with an atmosphere
Contiguous to the eyes embracing and rich
Time honored in its entirety
Carefully romanced by birds and creatures alike
I found you here in a home of comforts
Now your essence is complete
Behold the gardens of light and sound
As perfect as the gift given to man
A portrait flowering a secrete of love
Its scenery influences your center
Today and always
A thinking place
With a reflecting pool

I'm going to enter a beauty quest
Win or lose it’s my right to contest
Age race or gender should not bold us back
We've fought for our rights so let's get on track

I'll enlist the help of my lovely niece
She runs a gym and is ready to please
We’ll, work on muscles and then the curves
Right now I'm just a bundle of nerves

Woke up this morning and my hair's all gone
A touch of alopecia and I'm like a sheep shorn
To make matters worse one eyebrow is missing
I look a freak and my cat is hissing

Well we’ll, work on muscles and then the curves
Right now I'm just a bundle of nerves
Woke up this morning and my hair's all gone

The day arrives and I'm ready to go
Wig and make-up in place I head for the show
My dress is from the Op Shop all silk and lace
And with my stilettos the stage I, will grace

They have us lined up to do the high kick
I raise my leg and feel my knee click
l' m forced to dance one leg in the air
Oh! how I long for my rocking chair

They're calling my name to receive the crown
My courage and persistence has won me renown
That dress from the Op-shop was a very good deal
I'll remember them kindly for their Winter Appeal.

Embrace Pt. 1

When you look into my eyes, you would probably
see another soul wandering aimlessly.
to a sea of nothingness, but I am with you,
I feel like my soul is clinging to your love,
and heart warming embrace.

When I look into your eyes, I see a free spirit,
looking for a companion. And you have one,
though I am not the most embracing soul,
but I guess you don't care.

My heart beats for you, my arms embrace you,
my eyes yearn to see your beautiful face.
If you were gone my soul would abandon me,
and plunge into the sea of depression, and
sadness, so I need your embrace.

So here we are, two souls clinging, to each other,
and not letting go. Because I need you, and you
need me. There will be challenges ahead, but
we are ready for them, for we cling to that

               Loving Embrace!

L-ittle House In the Prarie, brought him more to fame all over, even when

As long as I can remember growing up as a child, I watched him
in Bonanza,as the sweet and kind-hearted Little Joe.And then
later on I just loved him and followed him more in his
role as the most wonderful father, ever in his unforgettable role
of Papa Charles, in the Little House in the Prarie."
I just loved and admired Michael Landon all my life, and respected
him no matter what.He had so many wonderful qualities to dim all of
his flaws and faults in my eyes.In my heart is just one
of a Kind, forever, and will remain so the rest of my days.

The Painted Sky

The litttle girl said with a tear in her eye
Where is the sunshine that was up in the sky?
Mommy said with a beautiful smile
Only God knows my beautiful child.
God has a plan.
I know for sure...
Please don't feel sad he'll send the right cure.
Oh my God, the little girl giggled out loud
As a cooling breeze blew away the clouds.
There in its place a rainbow so bright
A truly beautiful heart warming sight.....

A promise God made a long time ago
Decorated the sky with an awesome glow..

Mommy she said,God is painting the sky
The little girl pointed to the rainbow so high....
The rainbow just tells us 'We know whose in charge"
She takes mommies hand and looks up at the sky
A rainbow she said
God painted the sky...........

Premium Member One Word Is Worth a Thousand Pictures

One word is worth a thousand pictures

Wait a minute, don't think I've got that right

BUT HEY! That works too if that one word is LOVE

It conjures up all sorts of heart warming scenarios

Love between parents and their children

Love of a Golden Retriever as she greets you at the door

Love of nature in all its grandeur

Love is waking up each morning to another sunshiny day

Love is a late night stroll on the beach

Love is THE one word that separates us from all other creatures

Love of all the joys and experiences life has to offer

Love is the be all and end all

The meaning of life on earth, the driving force

Our reason for being... everything else is superfluous

Without love, life has no meaning

Yes... one word is worth a thousand pictures!

Premium Member The Queens Garden Party

This poem was inspired by a wonderful day, I was privileged to be invited to her majesty the Queen’s garden party 2015 in the grounds of Buckingham palace.

Human nature thrives on praise, a thank you given with a smile,
It makes you feel appreciated, loved, happy, life feels worthwhile.
As a simple gesture by the most important lady in our land,
Inviting you to her garden party makes you feel simply grand.
Our noble Queen Elizabeth graciously sends out invitations every year,
To those in our society who have enhanced it with love, inspiration and good cheer.

The Queen appreciates there are those who make this world a happier place,
Helping those in need, the elderly, the sick, inspiring our young folk the future to face.
This world never has enough happiness, contentment, relaxation and cheer,
To those who provide this important ingredient in our lives, we treasure dear.
Look deep into your heart, is there any small act of happiness you can do?
However great or small, it will make you happy and others too.

Our noble Queen sets her examples opening her doors to welcome you all,
To those who give their love, dedication and support to life’s ever
demanding call.
The Queen’s garden parties are a shining light in this troubled world of ours,
It is further enhanced with a display of glorious flowers.
To many who have been blessed to be invited to this event,
It will be remembered as a day of happiness, awe and wonderment.

It is a once in a lifetime invitation for folk like you and me,
Not many get invited to go to Buckingham Palace and join the Queen for
tea.
Let us hope the Queen and her heirs will not stop this heart- warming event,
It unites the Royal House with our Nation, praising our good folk, sincerely meant.
On behalf of our visitors I thank you for inviting us here today.
These parties are appreciated; we all hope they will continue to stay

Hugs

There is nothing as heart warming as a hug from the heart
We have many types of hugs
The Oh Gosh do I have to hug
Oh well I guess I will if you want me to hug
Boy am I glad to see you again hug
The hey look I can hug in public embrace
Let's hide so no one sees us hug
Do I have to hug Auntie Linda hug
The great big over whelming bear hug
Let's keep holding on hug
I want to hug you forever hug
And best of all
I love you more than words can say hug

Let's give our hugs freely and with emotion
We all need to feel the love

A Star Is Born

A star is born
a new era dawns,
down on earth the
King of Kings is born

Give praise to the Lord God
our Saviour Jesus is born.
The Christmas message is
truly heart warming

So during this season of
the year, stay joyful,
triumphant and full of cheer.
Give praise to our Lord Jesus.
