Kebab Grab

Aadab the Aarab's
Favourite food was kebabs,
Be it beef, be it chicken,
He thought they were finger lickin'
With hummus and garlic dabs

authors note: i know Adab & Arab
 are spelled with one
...a.....at the start but i put in
 the extra ....a.....for pronunciation
 of a long.....a.....sound

Woke up this morning ready to fly
Each day's an adventure for you and I
Grab the brass ring
Sweet songs to sing
Spread your wings like a pretty butterfly

Suns rays reflect off rippling water
Shows the shadow of boy playing
He's on waters edge to look
For creatures of the sea
With colorful fins
To reflect rays

Don'T Grab the Steering Wheel While God Is Driving

don't grab the steering wheel while God is driving the car
just put your trust in Him that you will travel very far
we have a tendency to pray on things but of them we won't let go
we keep worrying about the problems and won't let God run the show
instead of looking at the Lord we keep looking at the load
we need to keep our eyes on God and not on the road
so don't grab the steering wheel while God is in the driver's seat
just be prepared to remain a passenger until the journey is complete

there's no person too insignificant and there's no problem that's too great
God's always on time, He's seldom early but He never arrives late
so just sit back and enjoy the road trip that is your life
and place all in the hands of your mechanic Jesus the Christ
don't worry if you get a flat Father God has a spare in the back
and don't worry if you run out of gas the Holy Ghost has a full spiritual flask
and don't fret if you happen to a make a wrong turn
just consider it a lesson in life that you've learned

don't grab the steering wheel while God is driving the SUV
just make sure you have on your seat belt for the road of life tends to be bumpy
you won't need a navigational system nor a GPS
just trust in God to steer you safely through all of your mess
don't worry about the insurance and you've already passed inspection
just don't try to be a back seat driver and give God any directions
the road of life may twist and turn down some valleys and over some dales
but as long as you stay prayerful you might miss that exit going to hell
and if you get stuck in traffic there's no need to feel overwhelmed
be anxious over nothing remember God is at the helm

so hand over the keys to your life and let God take the wheel
and believe He will guide you towards those eternal Elysian Fields
so don't grab the steering wheel while Father God is driving the van
He'll get you to your final destination according to His master plans

Grab

I spent too long in the sand,
the day has ran,

I am a dam,

the waters run cold,
and that is bad,

turn around and grab,
because the air of the wind isn't fun,

teeter totter with the band-
let um go laugh...

Take a polygraph: ask
'how sad are the sad?'

Then wake up to a face,

she is your great big taste,

she thinks the world renowned isn't insane,

it is just unclaimed,
overdue and over blamed.

Just like you on your way...

Stop saying that you might be gay,

just f*** f*** away-
do a couple drugs and open your eye's for today,

you might just say hey-
I can be there,

I can prey,

I can be cannibal,

I can punch away-

so what if I can't win a fight,

so what if I only have so much time,

suck this big fine...Pig...

I pay your wage,
and I renege,

even when there aren't good cards to play,
I say that's sick,

jump into it-

let people know when to sit-

suck this, big man-been there done this!

Suck fist!

I'm young and have yet to be dissed!

...be in remiss,

do a job that's stupid as s***!

If time is a diss-

if you start now and start to hate ...

Time isn't a kiss-
if you let things go and still think that you're swift,

time can be a big miss-

unless you show heart and shuttle people out of the mist.

Am Grab Eines Freundes/ At the Tomb of a Friend/ En La Tumba De Un Amigo

Im stillen Kornfeld dort,
wo sie verborgen lag,
des Schnitters Sense,
da liegt jetzt sein Grab.
Und nur der Wind
verweht das letzte Wort,
das niemand mehr vernehmen mag.

Bezwinge deine Seele
und stiehl dich heimlich fort.
Damit nicht Angst dich quäle
an jenem stillen Ort.

Die Hoffnung gibt dir Flügel
und leiht dir auch ihr Wort.
Nun liegt nur Einsamkeit
auf deinen Schultern.
Die Ruhe vor dem Sturm
ja die erkennt du schon,
nur sie verleiht dir Kraft
ist deiner Mühen Lohn.

---------------------------------

In quiet grain field there,
where it lay covertly in fear,
the reaper's scythe,
there is his grave.
Only the wind
let last word drift away,
that nobody more may hear.

Defeat your soul in silent race
steal secretly away.
So that fear will not torment you
at this yet peaceful place.

Hope gives you wings
and also lend its voice
Now there lies only loneliness
upon your shoulders.
The quiet before the storm
this you will recognize,
only this gives you strength
and is your efforts' choice.

----------------------------------

En campo de trigo tranquilo
donde se escondía,
la guadaña segador,
se queda ya su tumba
Y sólo el viento
dispersa la última palabra,
que nadie lo puede oír más
en ningún día.

Conquista tu alma
y que te vayas escondido.
Para que el temor no te tortura
en este lugar tranquilo y perdido.
La esperanza te da alas.
También te presta su palabra

La esperanza te da alas
y te presta su palabra.
Ahora sólo soledad
queda sobre tus hombros.
La calma que precede la tormenta
sí tu la reconoces sin defensa,
y sólo te da fuerza
y es tu esfuerzo recompensa.

A Moment of Thought - Grab Your Partner Collaboration

A moment of thought we now share
Twisting itself around your heart
Into the future now I stare
Dreaming of tomorrow's fresh start

Don't know exactly what it is
A moment of thought we now share
Began when we had that first kiss
Showing me that you really care

Nothing in my soul says beware
No warnings of the heart felt pain
A moment of thought we now share
How long will fantasy remain

Where does it end, the path unknown
I reach out to you, you're not there
Only part of me have I shown
A moment of thought we now share

Premium Member Boxes Set High

A chorus of boxes hums tonelessly on high rafters
where unwieldy boxed and stocked memory realms
squirm under drowsy dust just beyond my sight’s reach.

On my journey, family, romantic loves, places
and friends have deeply dipped me twisted
then spun in bleary pieced feeling conditions
that time tossed dark-shelved from my vision.

But around does come moments of poignant grabs
that hoist me thru the dust to see a memory touch
and as I sit or lie with it, it seeps my depths inside of it.

Smash and Grab

SMASH AND GRAB

traffic light red
car stops dead
alert eyes dart
surrounded by dark
panic imposed
she knows
the fear real
and near
that crowbar
window smash

loaded weapon
held to head
attacked she
smells his trashed
ambivalence
dealt her way
hand of fate
grabs the keys
ignoring her
pleas

he doesn’t feel
or give a damn
pavement flung
she lands cold
with terror as
all she hears
are her infants
tears strapped
trapped in the
 back

while….
he screeches his hate
with the exhausted
fumes of a child
displaced

(Your average day in South Africa)

Shootings here, violence there
     Smash-and-grab everywhere

So it seems, but look again
     It’s a mostly urban scene

How much longer can it be

Before I Grab Somebody's Hand

Ah, before I grab somebody's hand...
I must get rid of all grief and feel really glad;
ah, before I grab somebody's hand...
I must earn worthiness and stop being mad!

It must have been quite long
having lived the pathetic life
of a worthless being;
walking fearlessly inside
scary shadows cast by black clouds...
where one hid to fend off his doubts,
not fighting the icy storms that froze his bones
and made him shiver to suppress his groans!

Ah, before I grab somebody's hand...
I must get rid of all grief and feel really glad;
ah, before I grab somebody's hand...
I must earn worthiness and stop being mad!

Would it be easy going back
to the fast rhythm of living;
it's the weirdest thought to sense flack
and be speechless, not willing
to let fate change the course of things...
when from the edgy brain evade dreams!

Ah, before I grab somebody's hand...
I must get rid of all grief and feel really glad;
ah, before I grab somebody's hand...
I must earn worthiness and stop being mad!

Sweetest angel of mercy, make me smile...
it has been raining, I'm seeking sunshine:
it's a rough climb from the lower ground;
I'm standing on a rock and being drowned!

It won't be and shouldn't be easy for a guy,
who has no choice, but to go back and slip
into the fast rhythm of living and survival;
It's a stride that asks for the sacrifice I can't skip...
before I grab somebody's hand and be no rival;
only thinking I am too fragile and bound to die!

Ah, before I grab somebody's hand...
I must get rid of all the grief and feel glad;
Ah, before I grab somebody's hand...
I must earn worthiness and stop being mad!
