Best Gloomy Poems
i'm not sure
if it's my emotions
or this day
that allowed me to see
everything colorless
daybreak arose
beneath a dismal canvas
no white puffs of clouds
no splashes of pink
to mark its rise
the trees stood there
colorless and bare
almost invisible
through a thick fog
as it rose
from tainted snow
everything blended the same
on this gray, hazy kind of day
i felt a feeling of despair
as i looked around
looking for color
yet everything
blended, the same
I was in the middle of creating when I realized how gloomy everything was turning. I was placing mean words on the paper. I had started with the word inspiration…..so how had this happened? I stared in horror at my words, which had turned dark and angry.
Apparently I had spent too much time in my tomb this weekend – blinds shut, dog on lap, two fourteen hour days of sheer darkness, lit only by unhappy fast moving TV people – detectives, solving murder after murder. A steady diet of UGH.
Have you taken a peek at your children and grandchildren’s video games? I have. They are not much better than what I had done to myself this weekend. But they are younger, and I should have known better. All this yellow tape and meanness to humanity is not good for this garden-loving grandma.
I can only imagine children’s bleak hopelessness on Monday after a steady diet of swear words and killing on the weekends. Has anyone who is an adult played Fortnight? The most popular killing video game and free to your children? I can barely function today after my weekend, and I am supposedly a grownup.
Take a peek at what your children are doing. And help them, and then come to my house, tear down my blinds and break my TV okay?
I have withdrawn from grim and gloomy feelings.
I have no time for wistful faces that plague the day
with melancholy conversation and life-sucking sadness.
The drama too much to digest and too trivial to express.
The shroud of depression envelopes the soul
spiraling it toward the depths of psychosis.
Discard delusions of undignified and unfounded discontent.
Instead, I seek cheerful gladness and joyful vibes.
I invest my time with gregarious and social aspects
of amiable discourse and exuberant life-serving happiness.
The manzai of life situations is peculiar funniness.
The revealing mirthful banter opens the psyche
whirling it toward heights of responsible normalcy.
Embrace each moment as though it is the last – it could be.
Eyes like cynthia's brow
starin beyond the cloud
in a ruminative refine gaze
indelliblely staring skyward
the men of the shadow deviced it
like a rustling of a dry leaf
He has rustled up,
and cross the rubicon....
Man is now cruel..
Man is bestial and blustery
Man is now a canal beast..
O why ar you so cruel?
Even to the unguilty
Yes! He was not a hood
you take even the unguilty
when ravening like a wild beast...
For who to take next
In this gloomy world...
We gathered to lay her in the cold ground;
it was to be her resting place—poor Mom!
Grieving, I sobbed while my siblings were calm;
only I appeared distraught and unsound,
overwhelmed at the sudden loss I found
too great to bear. It was like a huge bomb
had exploded in my life—like napalm!
As I sat with tears flowing and profound,
the eulogy was then delivered to all.
We buried her on a cold, wintry morn;
all were mute, as I felt a gloomy pall.
Among them I wept, so bereft and torn
was I during the funeral withal:
all the while, I felt gloomy and forlorn.
Surrounded by people, yet alone.
My only respite....the telephone.
Longing for voices, having never heard.
Hearing voices that could only unnerve.
Day after day, they blend together.
One's only hope, they don't go on forever.
Pain and sorrow, that's what life brings.
No three little birds melodies pure and sweet sings.
Cast your lot and hope all is well.
Pray that God doesn't send you to hell.
Old and crippled, where all soon shall be.
Better to die young, wrap your car around a tree.....
Gloomy Day

The day looks gloomy and dark.
Not a good day for the park.
So inside I will stay,
No time to play,
Time for me to make my mark.
in the weekend night
a gygantic python comes
gloomy evening
"A photograph (1949) - my father's story, a gloomy image"
A young man, who already has a heavy luggage
The backpack he has been carrying since birth
a gloomy image ...
The struggle to be present in life
He pushes his hair away from his eyes
where he walks in an unknown city
Everyone knows it's pretty tough to be young
It's about growing up ... fast
Dare to go out into the world,
naked and vulnerable -
a gloomy image ...
He had to help his mother, stepfather
and half siblings - a financial support
Wish I could read his thoughts
Dig a little deeper into the human mind
The meaning behind your pain
Humiliation and never accepted
This is not a sunshine story
a gloomy image ...
Although the photograph is yellowed and faded
His thoughts means an irreplaceable role for some

FOR A MOMENT
Your cry isn’t loud enough for the world to hear
So wipe your tears.
Even your so called ‘friends and companions’ are turning deaf ears
Wipe your tears and look up to the hills, from there comes your help
Tears come from sorrow’s hole
Tears will continue to flow until you control your whole
Dilute your sorrow’s hole with joy,
And effervescence of smile will frizzle your tears
Don’t pamper that hurt inside, lest, it will linger
Letting go of is the best panacea
Embrace life’s vicissitude, and make peace with your past
Until there’s no tomorrow, fortunes are in life’s queue
For as mischance exists in life’s cast,
So is great chance.
Life can deny you of breakfast, but that breakfast may not be worth comparing with your brunch.
As you crunch, your life realizes that you can wait for tomorrow’s breakfast even if it denies you supper.
Sometimes, life makes you feel Charlie,
Especially when life gives you a malignant glare,
At a moment when you are in a state of ‘devil-may-care’
You are compelled to say cheerio to the world
Because life is using a brusque tone
But when you chance upon successes, you bury that decision
That’s life
Don’t escalate that hurt or pain when life confronts you
It’s just a fortune recess
Embolden your spirit and wait for the resume of success.
#sanguine, sangfroid, pertinacious#..That’s what you ought be……
Waking up so happy and full of energy for now
I have all my curtains shut for now
I do not want to open them just for now
I rather have my breakfast and juice for now
I am going to take a shower and brush my teeth for now
Now I am ready to open my shades and look outside
I was smiling then it fell upside down just looking outside
My smile that had energy was all gone down looking outside
Sure it was a nice morning but look, look, and look outside
So gray, so gray, so draining just why now, looking outside
Clouds everywhere not one breaks up above so gloomy
The wind even makes me have chills and feel gloomy
Dare how, how dare this weather have my emotion so gloomy
The moisture has not gone away from the morning, how gloomy
This just makes me tear up with actions of gloomy
The day has gone long and I’m sitting by my window, what a cloudy day
The sun has not came out and it is becoming evening, such a cloudy day
What sums this whole day, I could have stayed in bed, what a cloudy day
I look to do something outside, for now, but so gloomy, such a cloudy day
This day is one of a million days that it happens to be a gloomy cloudy day
A distorted shadow of a vagabond
goes the field bobbing up and down
in the sunny and warm spring day’s shimmering air
For the flowers in the field are at their best,
the birds on the treetops enjoy to their hearts content
The upside-down green grass field, see through between hind legs
of a fawn who knelt to quench his thirst from the stream where
the sparkling water bubbled up from the spring overflows,
is the deep blue sky extended to the boundless infinity
The meadow,
where the colt gallops while flapping his mane in air
though they are yet to be grown;
the grassland,
where the calf follows her mother with the slender
and effeminate legs though walk falteringly,
is the deep blue sky joined in the horizon laying yonder
Although, the flowers in the field
and the foot of mountains is sweet-scented and brilliant,
and the birds in the woods and the groves are singing
joyfully and chirping their day away,
why the heart of vagabond who was shoved and pushed by the sunlight,
and, now, walks to the horizon between sky and the prairie as a piece of
drifting cloud, is so lonely and dejected
leaden half-light sight
torrent of raindrops falling
weeping from heaven

The sunless evening is deprived
of its ardent and vivid colors,
the mischievous clouds
in their hastiness extend
their thin and tenebrous veil
increasing my body's chill.
They intensify the dreary darkness
invading the lively landscapes under
a silent universe so distant and squalid,
less fascinating and mysteriously far
to be contemplated for its blazing sunsets...
besides the frightful sensations that billow
and imitate every approaching shadow
as they detach themselves completely
from the contemptuous soul liberating
itself with painful groans of dissidence,
refusing to alleviate their heartwrenching
cry; denying their sympathy with insolence.
I'm staring at another gloomy sky in November,
it's menacing and ready to be transformed
into a storm more violent than a tropical hurricane of summer;
a loud thunder is heard followed by a sheet of lightning
that knocks down those vulnerable, aged trees falling
on the yellowed dry grass and on the bare bushes
that was the home of the cyclamen rendering them harmonious,
seldom sad; who remembers how they lulled by the gentlest wind
of this past spring in the well-tended gardens of the smallest town...
did someone smell the fragrant roses only parched by the hottest sun?
The shady, undulating pines are being caressed
by the brisk breeze accelerating the marching evening
gloomier than a moonless night too enmeshed
in a sense of sadness that deepens the emotional feeling...
missing the absence of the blazing light that blinds the eyes
as darkness and fright cast shadows on the fields
of drooping sunflowers ready to declare their demise
more than the gelid air that freezes the steaming breath
and decrease the temperature of the cold body willing to enwreathe
itself with the instinct to warm up by a campfire consuming a balmy pine.
,
Since eternity you've never changed
Not weakened or cringed
Always lashing fantasies' horse
As lightning whips the gloomy shadow
Since eternity
You've thrown your arrow
On a thousand hearts then danced!
How creative you are, creating dances!
Since eternity, alas!
With a pledge of death
Pouring darkness invisibly and silently
Over hearts
Then dragging the torn clouds
Dredged in sadness
Here and there!
Ah take our icy silence,
now but don't tremble
We've been ghosts
In the cold for a long time
Ah take it the distance now
You throw it there
Above the ailing hearts
Then run craving for your prey
Crawling craftily and smugly away
