That first glimpse of purple in the gloaming
As dawn softly rises in morning skies
Ascending along with nature's colors
Is a look of faith and hope in thine eyes.

Wrapped in the rays of sun's glorious hues;
There dwells a calm that instills peace and love
With a passion that enters every cell
In divine grace that shines light from above.

Meditate to serene silent music
As the melody of birds sing along.
Elated at the birth of the morning
They share delight in their sweet varied song.

Open your heart to passions of others...
Feel with the empathy God has bestowed.
Then you will know the true meaning of life
In the receiving back of blessings sowed.

Into the Gloaming

The sky prepares the sun for night
where drifting clouds are slowly steeping
in tepid pools of waning light
where soon the moon will find her sleeping

above a field of wild blooms
where evening shade is gently seeping
into the brush where sunset looms
beyond the reach of shadows creeping

along the ground where light rescinds
past silver groves of willows weeping
teardrop-leaves that ride the wind
to dusty skies where stars need sweeping.

Through the trees, the breeze is roaming
like a breath into the gloaming.

Gloaming Glory

Fiery orb of living luminous light
    descending slowly before the
sea at the edge of the horizon,

I am one with you, connected
    through the cosmos divinely.
          Your photosynthesis runs through
my veins like the pliant plants.

As I close my eyes in contemplation
I may still elegantly envision your
          bright ball of golden glow.

A denizen of diamonds coruscates
    undulating across the sea
leading a path to you in your
                most glorious moments.

I reach out my arms to you as you
reach out your last rays to embrace
me with your loving crimson colors.
I bathe baptized by your beauty.

In breathless sighs I gasp at your bonniness
blessing me as I reveal my soul is
connected to you and through you.

Let me savor each moment before you
vanish, sinking beneath the sea, near me,
and all becomes blush, hushed in
                temporary terrestrial mourning
of your absence. Adieu sweet Sol!

Beneath the weeping willow
A gentle figure swings
Her dress of white a-billow
While soft and sweet she sings

She sang within this bower
What song I cannot tell
Her hair bedecked with flowers
Blue Canterbury bells

And on into the gloaming
Is heard this pleasant sound
When stars begin their roaming
She lets her hair unbound

Then o'er her form the willow weeps
The night is still -- the child sleeps

In the stray lavender of twilight
as cactis' spindled obelisks
brush spreading lapis sky
a honeyed sun
holds tight
to desert crags
for a last glimpse
of fulgid sage
and adobe rainbow dwellings
sprawled in the valley.
I await the candle moon's
flickering smile
shining in gully water
and darts of starlight
glowing in my arid dreams.

Into the gloaming my stallion steps
His hooves beating homage to the day
Upon his back I go to meet the dark
My gown floating in beautiful disarray

The night will cover soon the land
My steed will fade into my dreams
On pillows fashioned of silver thread
Sweet repose until the daylight gleams

The day is done. Travel dispersed, no more roaming.
Between dusk and sunset, it’s the gloaming.
I settle to watch, inspired by that instant moment,
When day gives over to night a regal bestowment.
Lights begin to shimmer, as we near twilight.
Across the horizon created a radiant glow so bright.
This magical moment captured with a deep ruby hue.
Detailing an exquisite hefty crimson etched in view.
Streams of color blend seamlessly in swirls of delight.
Heavily embossed across the faded sky, birds in flight.
Sunset’s glowing color of crimson and gold,
As night’s velvety blanket begins to unfold.
Whispers of a breeze wafting gently, flickers a scent.
Evokes aromatic bursts, sensual yet earthy by intent.
With a sweetness, and a warm tranquil overtone.
I am nestled snugly, captivated by joy I've never known.
Capturing my imagination of a candle in glorious blaze,
My breath extinguishing it to create the dark night haze.

At this lovely time of day when we put all cares away,
When the clouds display their pink and blue soft colors,
And birds are seen in silhouette as they return to roost,
That is the best time of the day, as Sol retires and bids
Adieu to purple mountains and sparkling silver seas
I think of you and the happiness we share as we sigh
At the Earth's glowing eye in our paradise together.
In your warm embrace with a look of love upon your face,

The sky afire with love's desire as the day is ending,
Our hearts shall sing their song of love as paradise lies sleeping.
Two as one in Heaven's grace by love's shore standing,
Your eyes, the azure of your soul, they are ever shining.
Ever in the gloaming of my heart your name does sing so softly.
Within our nights, in paradise, love alone can be our song.
You are ever my shining jewel in a brocade of stars,
my angel we shall live love's dance as we love by sunset's gloaming.

Surrounded by twinkling stars, enchanted by a full moon
Rising, I pledge my heart to you while dancing in the dark,
Cheek to cheek, as we feel the romantic beat of nature's
Nocturne calling, as our two souls take flight throughout
Our sacred night to soar to heights with fevered yearning.
The sweet bliss of your kiss wakes my passions, burning.
You whisper with amour words that I have longed to hear
This lovely summer night with scented Jasmine blooming.

In our Hawaii's paradise below moonlight gleaming,
You are in my arms before love's waters shining.
We find a new paradise within the light of your soul,
As now your lips meet mine in a kiss that is divine.
Joy we now shall find in love's endeavour shining,
As Jasmine scents the air we lose ourselves in passion.
We shall find love's peace and joy as our bodies entwining,
Now the time our desires fulfilled By Sunset's Gloaming.

This mystic time the poets call the gloaming,
A lingering salute to end of day,
Comes long enough to usher in the nighttime
And welcome in the moon and star display.

Taken from my poem "Twilight" Posted March 21 2005

                Twilight
The time of day to power a poet's fancy,
Are those short moments between day and night,
When rosy glows streak in the west horizon.
That lovely interlude we call twilight.

Somewhere between the daylight and the darkness,
The remnants of the sun still hanging there.
Erasing heavy burdens of the daytime,
Removing all the weariness and care.

The mystic time the poets call the gloaming,
This lingering salute to end of day,
Comes lonr enough to usher in the nightfall
And welcome in the moon and stars display.

The half-light often brings quixotic dreaming,
Even lulling birds and beasts to quietude.
This respite is God's gift for lonely spirits,
Bestowed on them to bless their solitude.

Gloaming
early evening
day following sunset
dare see changing good
nightfall.

In the Gloaming

The sun takes a nap and the moonlight plays
Then there comes a certain time of day

The flowers tire and go to sleep
Squirrels and birds take a peep

Rainbow colors dance across the sky
Soft white clouds way up high

This is the gloaming of the night....
Behold the beauty of this peaceful sight.

Into the Gloaming

twinkle eyes twinkle eyes i see you
stop hiding behind the shades i won’t hurt you
i’ll be good i’ll be kind just trust me you will see
i only wish to make you mine for all eternity

I know how to love i was trained by the best
oh come now twinkle eyes and put me to the test.
our laughter is sweet it makes the honey flow
compassion is my best quality
i believe in taking things slow

if into the gloaming is where you want to go
i’ll take your hand twinkle eyes your masculine shadow.

In the Gloaming

In the absence of moonlight Beyond midnight Making love In the gloaming For an eternity Hopefully Heaven

Gloaming

there is no ink between those lines
so sit beside me, put away your ire
no whitespace to read, everything's fine
It's been a long day and we're both tired

even now, golden is the light to be seen
windowed breeze blows fresh to inhale
now breathe it deep and let us convene
refreshing now, we swap accounts to regale

and feast upon our time between
the past we knew and a future awaited
even now, seems we're sittin' midstream
in a life that cannot be overstated

how utterly great it is experiencing now
with you beside me, even better somehow

As mother Earth starts to close her weary eyes to sleep
The setting sun on the horizon slowly drowns in melancholy
Yet another day, almost over. And twilight is nigh
