Premium Member Shepherd Who Forgot His Flock
It's raining again, grey neon skies,
washing away suppressed surfaces,
to reveal unhealed wounds,
to scars the eyes cannot see

sometimes they bleed.

Some say words heal,
but I resist to express them,
because I'm afraid of my vulnerabilities,
anxious about tears I've never cried.

You only see the smile,
no one remembers that naive...

Premium Member I Forgot About You, But I Don't Remember When
I forgot about you,
but I don't remember when.

With all the thoughts inscribed to you,
I once had to chase the pen.

My mind's now like an empty gas tank.
Oh, the roads we traveled... I can't get there.

The dedication page is blank,
because I can't remember what or...

Remember all the Wise Men on their knees upon your yacht?
With orphans on their backs they’d crawled (with others that they’d brought)
Through rubble on the highway sands and residues of Lot.
They came from severed cities selling postcards of your thoughts,
Though offered for a penny piece,...

I Forgot How To Rhyme
I've forgot how to rhyme right
Lack of inspiration keeping me up for five nights
Writing rhymes to keep my mind tight
I'd rather be truthful than a coward who hides behind lies
An average poet, but you might find
a few lines that are designed nice
I need...

Whoops, I Forgot To Comment
Whoops, I forgot to comment
Upon that nice poem you wrote
Please don't take it personally
My reasons are many, take note

It's too long, I'm easily bored
It's not really what I expected
I though it might have rhymed a bit
So now I'm a little dejected

I've nothing special to say
When...

Dear Santa Claus, can I ask a wish
A wish come true- for everyone
Be'eth I too old..to ask
Will it fit on your sleigh
It's not a small wish
It's humongous
Everyone
Will love
It

I
Myself
Will share it
To one and all
To...

Yesterdays Forgot
If tomorrows never mattered and yesterdays forgot
Living in the present would count much more than not
Our days could have more meaning, each word chosen more precise
Visions may be clearer, not clouded by the past
Every time I'd be with you I'd make each moment last
Your kisses...

Premium Member I Forgot How Loud My Laugh Is
my laugh raises hair on people’s necks
it is not petite, polite, refined, or subtle.
it is a throwback to your hillbilly ancestral
caveman’s outrageously loud and ugly laugh.

when it happens, it is as if the bowels of my
inner crazy is released after 4,000 years in
a dutch...

Premium Member I Forgot To Read the Newspaper
It’s early
Not a sound from the street
Newspaper lies in the driveway
Where it landed
Some time ago.

When I get up
The sun is also up
Brightness
Clarity
Not a cloud in the sky
So why should I read the newspaper
On this beautiful morning
To read about politicians
Taking bribes
Projects stalled by...

Premium Member Forget-Forgot-Forgotten
There are so many things in my life
That just seem to get forgot
My brain is a dampend sponge
Stuffed in my head that has begun to rot

I can't remember Sh#t!
In my simple life from day to day
I can't blame any of it on God
For it's my...

In your error there is a'way making
Whilst striving in your searches collating,

Are they blackly scrawled your inky walls.?
Truly "A vice" this undertaking...

Explain peruse or buying extra shoes
True vanity versus inspiration.

The City That Care Forgot
In da Big Easy
sipping on our Hurricanes
wandering to who-cares-where
Pass an old court-yard
Meters playing 'Cissy Strut'
Funk echoes down Bourbon Street...

*Art Neville (The Neville Brothers) was the organist and founder of the Meters. 'Cissy Strut' was their biggest hit. They reunited for a Katrina benefit concert with...

They Fought For You, Have You Forgot
Shall I vote or not?
She died for you, have you forgot
Who fought for you so you can say
Shall I vote or not today?

Shall I vote or not?
She fought for you to have the choice
To use your vote, and use your voice
Or stay at home today

Shall...
