Best Flirted Poems
Something minute had been carefully tucked away, it was a nut
Got loose, rolled helplessly away, had no direction afraid, she shut
Her eyes, and slowly rolled towards a destined force,
An eager bolt nearby bolt gave her the eye, she thought to pause,
She looked at him said hi, but continued to roll and to strut,
The bolt flirted outrageously with this shiny nut, that felt
Maybe he should be bolted onto her, but quick action was now due
The feeling in his gut sent urgent message, he whispered to
the nut, that next door, there was an empty little hut, she thought a bit
But excited so surprised, she rolled her eyes, was not about to quit,
They tumbled and bumped and arrived at the hut together, at ease
but excited, she coyly asked, may we use a washer please.
Raven orchids drape the night,
fraying in the high petals
of swooning fronds.
I sit beneath a daffodil porch light,
a blood moon blushing tangerine
in a field of white alyssum
as I smell the nascent lilt
of a voodoo rose.
The giggling breeze
that flirted with my lashes
suddenly becomes a gust,
stinging my eyes.
Voodoo thorns rip my shirt
in a netherworld of absent flesh
as silhouettes of unbridled marigolds
woo their willing beds.
In my daffodil haze
I lift black narcissus
in an absent glass
to toast forbidden love,
the feral moon and I
beneath the breathless echo
of wild star light.

His girl’s amorous, uninhibited.
She flirted with his friends turning them red
though she was all in, never gibbeted.
He’d been away a stretch, her arms outspread.
Her lips like sunrise sky — bright, bittersweet.
Her lashes are sun rays dyed with black ink.
The pounding of pavement — his eager feet
stumbled which she thought cute, gave him a wink.
She dived right in and sucked his bottom lip.
There probably was tongue, a lover's swish.
His friends talked about it. It made them flip.
If one of them had knocked first, get his wish.
And talking them through it (on his last nerve),
his girlfriend’s kiss was not first come first serve.

They are playing that song again
The one that reminds me of you
It began to rewind as I turned up the dial
from a place long ago that's been bleached for awhile
"California Dreamin" sifts through the air
like the sandalwood incense, that used to be there.
"All the leaves are brown, and the sky is grey
I've been for a walk ....On a winter's day"
There's an image I've kept, still tucked within my mind
It used to fill me with envy, until it reckoned with time
You at twenty-one, wild and beautiful in a way that I could never be
Perched upon your back-porch steps, beneath the russet trees
Soaking up the morning sun, stroking your guitar
I only knew you then, as that 'hippie" type of girl
The one who lived next-door that year
Your candles shimmering, bangles glimmering
A tangle of strawberry hair, that flirted with the wind
Childlike and fair, devil-may-care, long gypsy skirts,
and a peasant look that took one's breath
The faint scent of sandalwood, swept into my yard
from your wide-opened windows, wide-opened doors,
while I was wrangling a baby on my hip
or hanging bleached-white sheets onto a clothesline
I had often wished I were you, ... flitting about, barefoot in the morning air
But, I was teaching my toddler to tie his shoes
Both of us twenty-one, ... on two sides of a cedar fence, ...
a thousand light years apart
"All the leaves are brown, and the sky is grey
I've been for a walk,...on this winter's day
All the leaves are brown. Songs have come and gone
Seasons had their songs, but what became of you?"

A surly old maid
had an urge to be laid
and bemoaned her virginal status
with life discontented
her plight she lamented:
"'tis not easy to live without coitus."
A scheme she invented
got polished and scented
tweaked her pointers to swing more voluptuous
with a rose-scented blanket
and aphrodisiac banquet
whisked her beau to the beach to be fructuous
Clad in scant mini
whence peeked her bikini
bent on bidding her cherry adieu
purred words mildly profane
wined him champagne
dined him fare with venereal value
To hone his libido
entrèed on baked avo
oysters, scallops and honey-glazed almond
lips enticingly luscious
sucked asparagus
sneaked a look if what matters had hardened
As was he, she became cocky:
ogled what was now stocky
with no inhibition she fussed and she flirted
our virgin opened her mouth
with one hand down south
loosened a knot and lay there unskirted
Decidedly heady
her lover was ready
to pick her rosebud unsoiled hitherto
her lush lips he fingered
where he lovingly lingered
to prepare for their kissing debut
With a bolt sat upright
said, his voice somewhat tight:
"Your mouth is a pit of infection.
I swear I was keen
but your mouth lacks hygiene
foul breath made me lose my ********."
A POOR ME FOR THE AGES
I was older she was so young I was stupid
But I was helpless she flirted threw me a smile
Oh, poor me I melted that look
That long, black hair that perfume
Those eyes that perfect bod I was so lonely
No one understood me oh, poor me
Didn’t like my job job paid so well though
Wife left me I started drinking
Smoked like a chimney watched ****
Had such fantasies why did she say yes?
Expensive dinner wasn’t that good
And that necklace money getting short
She called me sugar daddy oh, poor me
She was such a flirt she loved all men
Age didn’t matter she has a new car
I paid for it then I really was broke
Had to move sold everything she said, get lost
Lost my job flop house was bad
Cardboard box is worse oh, poor, poor me
Old women shun me dogs and cats shun me
Do I deserve this? Oh well
That roach wasn’t bad no bones

Rainbow Nation
Blanca is white like beautiful snow in the Drakensberg Mountains
she snorted star powder past the perforated septum into her brain
Black as coal from the underworld mines in Mpumalanga Melanie
had her stomach pumped and purged while sleeping off darkness
Amber is coloured mixed race in the Rainbow of Nations her work
still paid in dop cheap vine that slaves her away in alcoholic trance
Arnav of Indian descent was hooked on dagga grown by the ocean
converted to heroin sold her frail body and skin for brown liquid sugar
Jacobus Bandele Lungelo and Bhavin shared needles and comfort
on the streets of Johannesburg flirted with disaster drug related crime
and their dealers cracked at the dawn longed for dust in the dusk
Drugs do not respect colour gender ability social class and religion
all druggies are equal with craving dependency not restricted to some
Now united in rehab like the state of the nation they all stood at the
table of mountains with one foot in the grave at the cliff face of habit
One day at the moment they now battle their demons resist the temptation
for only the time being from one morning away from the devious mourning
one drug line not taken one fall off the wagon shunned and avoided for now
They have all chased the dragon for far too long and imbibed with the devil
for so many wretched days and nights of delusion torment addiction and pain
Again once more each day anew their only chance to abstain one day at the time
Of My Love For You
I remember the first time I'd heard your voice. You had just dropped off a another dude, seen the good bye from you two girls up stairs, yet, I didn't pay attention.
And you came back and this time I'd caught something strange, he was 'old news', I however was getting all kinds of signals... I let that go. I had places to go, things I had to do... I was about to embark on a ambition of a dream of my own abilities. Throughout my whole existence on this planet, I'll have to 'prove' myself to me. I'll never care about myself, 'I' care about others. See, I've always known “I'm somebody”, promised to share with only one I give my heart to. Wasn't that you flirted with me cause your friend liked me, inviting me to a party at her apartment that I accepted. My first bad party, and I hadn't been there 15 minutes and already gotten screamed at by the same person that was supposedly interested in me? Time to go, before ' gets stupid' Cigarette, slowly as not to attract attention go outside, then clear, walk, (hell, I had a life to contend with..) Then, there you were, late at night, your car rolling beside me at a wake pace. In your resolve, I realize it was unmanly of me to keep up the (actually the first) argument. I was even 'more' impressed when 'you' alone stopped by to check on me the next day. We agreed on the party being a flop, and somehow from there... We started learning about one another.
I enjoyed your smiles while you read my silly writings, as I listened about your life, your children, your ex, your sister, your family, really? I met your ex, not good stock, and then one day I met your kids. in front of them, your entire family, each taking me aside, warning me. Okay, time to show who I am... I gave a list of phone numbers to your mother 'call if you want my credentials'. I'd been moved in two days prior, by an offer to do my laundry... Impressive words I recall, “bring it all”. [liked the 'here to help'] It took understanding but our bodies meshed well sleeping together. I greeted the kids, opening my heart, tearing down every wall (20 children hair clip's on my head, walking around to among the neighbor's) showing respect and honesty to everyone, it grew. I then, one day I said “I love you.” So, YOU are were the one...
As I wake
Another day of nothing
Grey skies and daily rituals
A mugging here and there
Smog surrounds me, it eats me inside
Insects devour, life drains, ebbs, flows to death
Meaningless is life
Love simply prolongs ones agony
On a journey with no purpose
I assure you there is no God
Show me a deity with such cruelty
I dare you, for there is none
Life is a random act of death
To become us all
Do not try and tell me different
Intelligence is fates way to call us fools
For whatever we choose to believe
Mayans were ancients
Deceived by the sun and moon
They sacrificed their young
On the pyramids of doom
Today, the sun rose
Tonight the moon shall greet my tired eyes
Into a slumber, a blissful sleep
I shall dream of the heavens and their gods
Today
I held in my arms an angel
All of a year or so old
Her arms outstretched, in blind love
Knowing I would catch her dreams and breathe her smiles
The devil that I am
I could not resist
To feed to her all my happiness
Her little hands grasped, as her eyes flirted for more food
I have some words of wisdom to bestow upon all you mortals now
Any court jester who tells you there is no god
They have not met Maya
I am so blessed, that I have
Notes: I had this in the works as a completely different poem. That afternoon I took care
of Maya ( 18 months ) and her brother Timmy ( five ) Afterwards we went to a restaurant for a snack, and Maya in my arms was in heaven eating her onion rings !! Both Timmy and Maya are such little angels, that would brighten up anyone's days, and when you see how beautiful children are, you realize the deeper meanings of life!
I tiptoed through the tulips
And leapt over the lavender bed
I covered the ground in red rose petals
And laid out a picnic spread
I winked at the Black Eyed Susans
And flirted with the buttercups
I sipped my glass of dandelion wine
As my eyes drank all the beauty up
I patronized the pansies
And was mesmerized by marigolds
I assembled all the azaleas
Into my memory portfolio
I borrowed from the begonia
Her bouquet of wondrous smells
And listened for the tinkling
Of little silverbells
I was dazzled by the daffodils
Enjoying every one of them
And couldn’t take my eyes off
Of the blooming geranium
I snapped pictures of petunias
And was patient with the impatiens
I love the lily of the valley
Not to would be a sin
The garden is my canvas
Springtime her coming out
My favorite time of year
Of that there is no doubt

When the girls with whom you've flirted
All have gone their merry way
Winning hearts, dispensing favors
In the flavor of the day,
There is one whose kept the home fires,
While her lonely heart has yearned.
Will she still be there to hold you
After your last bridge is burned?
Weigh temptation, is it worth it,
Seeking love for just the day?
Will there still be one who needs you
When all others go away?
When a loving heart is broken,
It won't be an easy mend.
Your promised heart to her forever,
Is no longer yours to lend.
If tomorrow, God should call you,
Take you from the life he gave,
Only she will long remember
To put flowers on your grave.
Hurry home now, Casanova,
Heed my warning and beware.
If too late you seek the home fires,
It may be she won't be there.
I am told to stay quiet
I am expected to hide
But how can I do that
When there's a pedophile by your child's side?
He sat there with me
Just like he does with her
Now I can't forget
All the pain, all the hurt
When I told my story
Six years after the fact
My father said I "flirted"
That I was asking for his attack
Did I make him coerce me?
Did force him into my bed?
You tell my 14 year-old self
What was going on in his 25 year-old head
Explain to me how three men called "shepherds"
Can sit across from a child and say
"You're not sorry enough to God,
And now YOU have to pay"
I abandoned God that day
I was told to "trust in God,"
That in time he'd "make things right,"
Why is it then that this rapist
Continues to sleep well at night?
Why didn't those "loving shepherds"
Call the cops that day?
I was crying and begging for help
But all they could say was "wait and pray..."
Earth element
Driven by instincts feral
Self-centred stance
An animal in human form
Gravity pulled me down
Material possessions
I seized by any means
Territorial behavior
In an imaginary cage
Yet in this density
In moments of silence
Love within stirred
Signalling God's presence
Water element
Lust and domination
Testosterone oversupply
Insatiable hunger
Danse Macabre
Brutal savagery
Plunder, rape, violence
Sadism at it's peak
I dwelt in the darkness
Yet in this density
In moments of silence
Love within stirred
Signalling God's presence
Fire element
Head and heart discord
Chaos and uncertainty
Conflict and self-doubt
Desire entwined with fear
Anger and remorse
Striving for balance
I was blown like a leaf
Powerless but in denial
Yet in this density
In moments of silence
Love within stirred
Signalling God's presence
Air element
A subtler realm
Of vanity and pride
Jealousy and dark envy
I was a black magician
Flickers of recognition
Appeared and disappeared
Whispers of conscience
Were sometimes audible
Yet in this density
In moments of silence
Love within stirred
Signalling God's presence
Ether element
Art and poetry
Grazing the vibrant void
Flirted with the ethereal
Breath by breath thus
Right brain oriented
Selective empathy surfaced
In but not of the world
I had lost my bearings
Yet in this density
In moments of silence
Love within stirred
Signalling God's presence
Epilogue
From gross to the subtle
As yet chained to form
The dance of polarities
Clouded heart and mind
Upon reaching exhaustion
There being no option
I plunged into the void
Relinquishing identity
Here within the bardo
Vaporised as a bliss mist
I became love's elixir
As a witness to myself
10-January-2023
The sun finally came out and flirted today
It spread its happiness and warmth and made children come out and play.
How wonderful it was to see people coming out with smiles on their faces
and doing who can mow their lawn first races. The smell of barbeque was in the air
all day and night, thankyou sun have a good night
I remember every minute of the first day we met,
It was raining, coming in to the reception you got wet,
At a mutual friend’s wedding, you came with a date,
You sat next to me, this was our destiny and fate!
You flirted outrageously with me from the start,
Love at first sight, cupid’s arrow reaching each heart.
You spilled your red wine on my skimpy evening dress,
You apologised my new dress looked an absolute mess.
But I had to quiet my pulse rate, which I instantly felt,
Cupid was in control, causing my heart to melt.
I fell madly in love that magic filled fascinating night,
I loved you from the moment you came into my sight,
You asked me to dance, I looked at you quizzically,
Oh don’t worry about Mary, you answered instantly,
She wanted to attend a Greek wedding and break plates,
Just a friend, certainly not one of my dates.
You kissed me goodnight on my cheek as we both left,
In my diary that same night I accused you of theft,
You had stolen my heart, my soul, and my senses,
I had let down my guard, there were no more fences.
The following day I got a huge bunch of red roses,
I love you, said the card, I was on fire, no amount of hoses
Could put this girl down, I was in a complete daze,
Everything misty with love, I was walking through haze.
You had to do a three week army camp, no cell phones
Then, so I just had to wait in nether land zones.
What happened we don’t know, to this day ourselves blame,
We were in love, but silly, aren’t all youngsters the same,
We should have got married then, but it took many years
Married, divorced, each with a son, met up with heartfelt tears,
Got married 6 months later, with family and friends present,
A very ecstatic couple, this lady and gent!
