Best Enthuse Poems

Premium Member One Brief Moment

Look...See how long nights are drawing in.
Dreary birdsong gradually abates -
Opaque dusk grows dim;
And just outside the creaky little garden
Gate,
Stood opposite the empty wood
Where the vacant threshold silently awaits,
I pause, when, resonating quietly back...
I now hear...
Far distant echoes of my glorious childhood
Tugging like a Siren upon my ear.

With a heartfelt pang I turn to move,
Before my staring should offend some
Old friends ghost
To manifest in vengeful affright,
Towards the comforting sanctuary proffered
By the warm kitchens weak neon light...
That sneaks out from behind the half-shut
Door,
But held - Transfixed!
Brought from wither-not-where to this one
Small place - Staid...
As if caught in a state of heavenly grace,
Conversing to the soft wind in harmonious
Angelic rapport:-
Thus soothes like enchantments waves...
Rolling gently up to repeatedly break upon
Magical banks girdling Nivians lakeshore.

For what be this odd muse
That upon my aging senses does so readily
Enthuse...
And to my inner soul so inextricably
Implore?
Ahhh...But this much I may be allowed to
Say,
Before darkly gathering skies extinguish
Over weak flames of the last spluttering
Ray,
Perhaps it is our inner voice
That seeks out the solitudes of
Tranquilities choice -
To witness and record and dutifully store...
Those rare and fleeting moments
We all too briefly adore.

Premium Member Hands of a Master

At my ripe age it's plain to me
That wisdom can come painfully

But found within our trouble, too
The best of what we humans do

All that's drawn from mind and heart
Is what weaves object into art

               Crimping spouts of twisted metal
               Changing common can to kettle

Time and Heaven's weep remake
A meager pond into a lake

               The finest instrument lays quiet
Without a skillful hand to ply it

Still and barren, paints and brush
Until obliged a master's touch

               Pen and paper don't enthuse
               Sans a poet's poignant muse

And I am but a hand-less glove
Without my faith in God above

               A walking, breathing implement
The tool for His divine intent.

Poetry

You ask what poetry can mean to me?
No glib reply will leap forth from my tongue.
As well to ask if food and drink might be
Of any use! I reckon it among

The minimum necessities of life.
A poem can affect us many ways—
Caress like a lover, cut like a knife,
Cajole, instruct, enthuse, amuse, amaze,

Can take us places we have never been,
And show us sights our eyes will never see,
Or like some fairy godmother or jinn
Transform us into what we’ll never be.

For poetry can soothe, enrage, extol,
Engage one’s mind, or plumb one’s very soul.

Premium Member Woods Enthuse Me

Woods enthuse me,
Bring me to a dancing state.
Lilt me, lift me, bring me back to my soul mother.
Bring me home, in pure joy and excitement.

I adore you, Woods.
Your fox, your eagle, your moss, your deer.
I am one with them, for I am one with you, and
We are all a part of this universal oneness

Mother sky and Mother meadow
Was there ever a more cosmic place in this
Fantasy world that some think is the real world?

Let me dance and sing and throw my arms into the air,
Playing enthusiastically into your eternal oneness,
Reveling in your stumps, branches, and the roots that
Tie Mother Earth to this heart-felt place.

Let others be of this world. Let me be ethereal,
A faerie whose wings are dancing and prancing in
perfect harmony with the heartbeat of the forest,
My savior, my friend, the pulse of the woods.
Nurturing my soul in joyfulness.
May I always be in awe of her.
Always.

Premium Member Gentle Night

Violet skies regard the drowsy moon,
Stars glisten on the edges of dark night,
Laughing eagerly wherever they’re strewn,
Evoking stories that gentle hearts write.

Stars glisten on the edges of dark night,
Softly glowing, restoring rest to souls,
Evoking stories that gentle hearts write,
With soothing words, their poetry consoles.

Softly glowing, restoring rest to souls,
Breathless promises shake the naked dew,
With soothing words, their poetry consoles.
Saintly blessings stirred the spirit’s breakthrough.

Breathless promises shake the naked dew,
Forest’s melody invites leaves to dance,
Saintly blessings stirred the spirit’s breakthrough,
Whispering passion, like a heart’s romance.

Forest’s melody invites leaves to dance,
Bursting with light, the trees sway to the tune,
Whispering passion, like a heart’s romance,
Waltzing with the rabbits, deer and raccoon.

Bursting with light, the trees sway to the tune,
The presence of starlight swells the heart’s muse.
Waltzing with the rabbits, deer and raccoon.
Perfect peace, wonders and dreams will enthuse.

The presence of starlight swells the heart’s muse.
Laughing eagerly wherever they’re strewn,
Perfect peace, wonders and dreams will enthuse.
Violet skies regard the drowsy moon!

Premium Member She of Flavorful Beauty

I feel a bit of envy – hue chartreuse-
when she, like a tart (sweet lemon with lime)
walks in; all the boys she seems to enthuse.
Tangerine words turn them crimson each time,
for saffron’s her voice! Her lavender eyes
flirt brightly like coral lining a sea
of aquamarine! But oh, how she lies!
The sugar of watermelon has she,
but under her flesh there lies a heart black.
I’ve seen it, and yet, they’re all taken in
by flavorful beauty – that which I lack!
Can they not see what lies under the skin?
Lilac may trail her, and heads still will turn,
but one day her true pitch-dark essence they’ll learn.

Unrequited Love

While transient love is all I yearn for now,
A state of panic engulfs as I imagine.
When my life takes a decisive turn
Hair white, wrinkled face and lack of sin.

Will I see shadows of myself?
Will my contagious grime enthuse my sons?
Have I discovered my faults too late?
Can my heart endure those countless revolutions?

Inhabiting my substance, torturing my world.
A life full of faults and guilt knotted.
I travel aimlessly for an ounce of peace.
Disturbed and heart so cruelly destructed.

My parents whom I did not revere,
Their love, I never answered.
Their forgiveness, I never asked for.
Those words of love, I always stammered.

Oh! Those heart beats, when I came hurt.
My letters, they never threw away.
Their magnificence, and my bag of sins.
A false remorse every single minute of the day.

Have I drowned in my own forever.
Or is this realisation a guide for the lost?
It’s never too late to ask for clemency.
Certainly not late to fulfil the unrequited love.

Forgive me for all I have done.
Let no one in this world have unrequited love.

Premium Member Every Day Is a Fresh Start

Every day is a fresh start, a new beginning.
We can reinvent ourselves
We can be revitalized and inspired.
We can instill hope and love in others.

Every face we make, every word we utter
Every movement of our eyes and smile
Can uplift and enthuse
We can indulge ourselves in positivity.

Each day is a new day.
Yesterday is gone; it is foolish to chase it.
Today is a blank computer page.
A canvas without Gesso.

What we decide to do today
Can make us a hero or a villain
Can uplift and inspire or bully and oppress
Let’s be revitalized and refreshed,
Let’s instill love and hope

A Rainy Day With the Grandkids

A rainy day spent with the grandkids
Beats the sunniest day on a cruise.
You can never explain
Just how much you can gain
Without seeming to over-enthuse.

It’s a joy I feel privileged to sample,
Knowing others don’t share in my luck
But if you can relate
You know there’s no debate
That it’s much more than gold we have struck.

As they grow there are brand-new horizons
While we witness their minds stretch and thrive,
So we soak up the bliss
Never quick to dismiss
How their lives help our spirits revive.

To Sexual and Sensual Couples

TO SEXUAL AND SENSUAL COUPLES

Kiss me.
Tinge me.
Make me mourn.
Take me to heights unknown.

Empower me with dynamism.
Make my woman glow from making love.
Hold me close in yours arms.
Enthuse my inner person.

Touch me.
Caress me.
Make me purr.
My inner essence is yours.

Whisper love words in my ears.
Be sensual.
Make me feel.

Lovers’ unity is unbound…
Unchained to higher grounds.

Unfetter my inhibitions.
Love my curves.
Develop my sensuality as I develop yours.
We are one vigor of power.

Our theme is the unspoken language of love.
Our minds are sensual.
Our bodies sexuality are beings to explore.

Be sensual.
Be utterly involved.
Fulfill my sexuality within your terms.
Lovers unite minds boggled.
Stunned by release and please by what has been unboxed.
Sensuality carafes.

We are adorned as embellished souls in an atmosphere enhanced and enriched by the blitz of our spirits.
Our quintessence epitomizes the scope to a level.

We must come together again.
Our sexuality is sensual.

Let’s engage.
Let’s peak…
To never end this unity.

Zila the Chinchilla

Zila 'the killa' chinchilla as he was known
Sat in his villa on his golden throne
He was a marvel a maverick a real joker
A prancer, a chancer, a lifelong nonsmoker
Our boy 'the killa'.
Never mediocre, always bodacious
With girls he was, I say, flirtatious
Feeling alive never monotonous so audacious
Fur so soft they cried "goodness gracious".
That a boy the killa.
He put his looks to use
Cringey styles gave him abuse
On the catwalk flawless a real Zeus
Shuffling on four feet he did enthuse
The little bugger was let loose
Our furry friend the killa!
He did play hardball he made a racquet
His fame put him in a new tax bracket
Shops now selling his slick leather jackets
The naysayers who said he won't hack it
Killa's chirping like a feathery blue tit
Our dear old friend the Killa!
If there's something the Killa can teach us
To profit in this world you gotta have guts
Analyze that minus and change it to a plus
He made no fuss he never cussed
Call him a wus he will go nuts
He's one of us, the Killa!

On This Day

I sat on the couch on a dull afternoon in deep thought,

The meaning of my life I genuinely sought.

As time hastily passed by,

I began to suspect my actions to justify.

Sadly, I never made use of my time,

My life had a very boring rhyme.

The reason my dreams were always in a fog

Was only because I was a lazy dog.

Then I decided to let go of the past,

At least I realized this pretty fast.

I searched with enthuse on how to live in zest,

But all I got was a pass in patience test.

Bothered I was about my life,

Felt like walking on the edge of a knife.

The expectation of family was at its peak,

While I was on a losing streak.

A desire to come out all guns firing

Was the reason I opted for engineering.

Life of a fighter it is inside,

Every beating you got had to be pushed aside.

As I face the mirror and see a responsible man,

I boost myself by saying “yes I can.

Arduous days will soon end,

And a winning message I will send”.

Back To School

Brand-new backpacks, brand-new shoes;
Headbands topped with flowers.
Parents trying to enthuse
About the coming hours.

Photos taken, kisses swapped;
Pupils all converging.
Quick goodbyes as doors are propped;
Teachers gently urging.

Voices chatter, stairs are climbed;
First day jitters rising.
All of us once likewise primed
Should be sympathizing.
