The Elected
Sharks leave the water to campaign on land
Drink Champagne at political parties
Draw blood; circle around, troll for enemies
Take contributions with a wink
Tease young girls, kiss babies, follow rules
To the point of razor sharp teeth
Follow schools of fish
Delicious to eat
Sharks don’t just swim. They float
Rainy days don’t help the votes
Bait dangles on hooks
Sharks steal it when no one looks
Change to gentlemen in a gesture
Genuflect when given gifts
Run, (though they have no feet) at the smell of money
Chummed up by buddies in muddied waters
Pray for a cause to chew the fat
Call Jaws if all else fails
Sharks fly when not swimming to victory
The media counts on them to lie
They lie in wait to strike
At the elected hour
When they rise to power
Sharks love the taste of cowards
Ladies and gentlemen; in this
time of political upheaval and
uncertainty, we must never
forget those things which seem
to be forgotten. Those things
that only we can remember.
The things that our forefathers
remembered, and never forgot.
Remembering what it took to
never forget, and not forgetting
the thoughts that no one
seems to remember anymore.
Keeping in mind the main thing
that slips from others
memories, and not forgetting
all those forgotten things that
everyone else seems to forget
about. We must hold dear the
cherished memories that the
masses cant remember, and
remain steadfast in
remembering our ancestors
forgotten mindsets that will
always remind us to never
forget. And in closing I would
like to say that I hope that I
will never fail to remember the
forgotten thought that brought
me to this conclusion. If we as
a people fail to remember what
no one ever thought of, our
future generations will never
know what we didn’t think of.
If you come in 'like a wrecking ball'
in your bare essentials,
you must expect
the shrapnel to cut deeper
than the skin,
lest you hide behind 'the party line'.
Politically speaking
if now we are being softened up
for the deep and gruesome cuts
in the budget to come,
then who will save us
when 'our beds are burning'.

True love is just another useless word,
So I accept this low-class life of mine.
There's no true love in this world,
So I do my best to cross the line.
With wires of pleasure spiking through,
Go figure, I erupt with nothing but lies.
I was numb before, so I don't feel you,
The elected miracle simply dies.
Breaking apart all of my thoughts,
I scream and shout out my misery.
The low-class future that connects the dots,
A disregarded human, that's all I see.
With wires of pleasure spiking through,
Go figure, I erupt with nothing but lies.
The thing that I once held close,
The elected miracle simply dies.
Accepting defeat, that's all I know now,
So I've accepted the low-class future.
I can't do anything to break the flow,
And I can't destroy this creature.
With wires of pleasure spiking through,
Go figure, I erupt with nothing but lies.
This thing that is what I was,
The elected miracle simply dies.
We know that it was an inside job, that President Trump incited the mob. Why was home land security sent away to a place of obscurity? Where was the FBI who warned that some thing was going to fly? If heads must roll and some be gone, we must include the Pentagon. They deserted our Capitol police, so out numbered, now several deceased. Those elected officials who played their roles and watched while mayhem did unfold. They all better get their do for inciting this bloody unconstitutional coup.
Everyone's talking about crime these days
So few police, it seems thuggery pays
No hotter topics than murder or theft
No matter your politics be right or left
Though in Chicago one issue's strictly off-limits for talking heads
Mayoral race apathy - 32.6% turnout - means democracy's dead
Elected in election's, year after year
They stand on their podiums, declaring their seer's
Telling us proudly in the hope that we'll sap
Basically it's all lies as they tell so much crap
How can they stand there and lie through their teeth
It beggars believe it would make a blind man weep
Promising their portfolio to do for the best
It doesn't come from their heart, but an ass full of zest
The next time I vote I shall think really hard
They'll have to be true for their words to be absorbed
I doubt this will happen as they like to be heard
And they forget where they came from, which is totally absurd

Discrediting plausibility
by shredding their humility
to a place of vulnerability
devoured by inabilities
cowardice incompetence
showered into consciousness
empowered causing confidence
validation found in compliments
a false sense of accomplishment
resort to intense punishment
to knock down their competitors
who speak of truth not metaphors
that could reverse their actual course
see them falling through floorboards
far from craved credited applause
a status low as though blackballed
on salaries always needing more
survival gifting no rewards
a personality to be ignored
social skills which leave them bored
testing humans to their core
needing a win but cannot score
electrical without a cord
no plug socket or power source
as management you were assured
entitlement had power stored
defensive walls they reinforced
the canon fire rains then pours
constant drainage of resource
when liars reign without remorse
demonstrate through acts of war
axing allies no friends of yours
switching sides ending support
backtracking and invasions fall
forward thinking backward thoughts
two faced fronts fights are fought
defend positions within the fort
saving supply routes to the port
lowered standards poor results
lose respect face the onslaught
enclosing can’t escape assaults
laced with disgrace of dense insults
unsatisfactory falling short
the cost of power steeply soars
run out of bullets fight with swords
sticks and stones not canon balls
back to basics of infant schools
learning how the mighty fall
turns out you might be a fool
from the authority you adore
to unemployed and lost it all
from big and powerful to small
once important not anymore
once arrogant above the law
apparently now unloveable
a tyrant silenced by rivals
the outlaw downfall locked indoors
freedom within the prison walls
abusing boundaries horribly
so far beyond authority
explicitly and vicously
fully of inefficiency
faults and inability
soulless animosity
dethroned without the sovereignty
lost lonely in unpopularity.
home land my claims my status
false statements, interests of those of secondary gaines,
to voice and ask inquires led to more flaggs of red what is to hide shcemes and lies slander is to cover white colar crimes, above the laws and rules, done best at....
Help Me Get Elected
By Elton Camp
Ron was a member of the fifty-three percent
But it was belly-up that his company went
“I have to fire people,” the new owner said
“So that this firm won’t operate in the red.”
It was into his IRA Ron was forced to dip
Now he mows yards & gives burgers a flip
Although he works days and half the night
He doesn’t owe any income tax--not quite
Is he a moocher who just barely ekes by
One who could do better if he’d just try?
So it was to Ron’s extreme irritation
A robocall asked him for a donation
“I don’t care a bit about folks like you,
But ask your vote & contribution, too.”
“That guy who is in there now is a scamp
What you should do is come into my camp.”
This arrogant call Ron absolutely does hate
Though he is only a lowly ward of the state
To enter this contest on Poetry Soup
They asked for a tale, a story – THE POOP
The only condition, you had to produce
The story as written by the great Dr. Seuss
Now this story begins as most stories start
With the who, when and where and all of their parts
The when – well it’s election time
The who – let’s say it’s a local swine
The where – why Whosville, nothing but
And that leaves nothing but the what
The mayor of old Whosville said
I’m tired of this town, instead
I think I’ll go to Washington
And show them all what can be done
I think I’ll travel there by train
And, at every stop explain
But first I’ll have to get a PAC
To fund my run, to have my back
Who’ll tell me what I need to say
To get the folks to see my way
To hide my past – my skeletons
At least the real creepy ones
And I’ll have to have an aide
A temporary one that won’t get paid
Who’ll always stand there by my side
To tell me when to duck and hide
The media will be my friend
Depending on how much I spend
I’ll tell this crowd I’m for defense
If that is what they think makes sense
At other times – economy
I’ll say is where our goals should be
Not till elected will they see
There is a little Grinch in me
Go on an laugh and laugh out loud
You namby-pamby foolish crowd
They used to laugh that is until
I became the king in small Whosville
This story is quite sad – but true
It happens to me and it happens to you
The WHO may be known by a different name
But all the WHOs play the very same game

9th place in contest
As the newly-elected president of the grand ol' U. S. of A.
I would tell the truth to friend and foe alike and, like it or not,
Order all legal federal actions against former leaders dropped.
I will proclaim the cherished values that make our country great,
While issuing a directive religion and politics are forever separate,
Order the I.R.S. to collect property taxes from all offending churches.
I will forgive all future payments on college student loans, and
Extend unemployment to the jobless--as a result of COVID-19.
I will grant humane treatment to all international refugees.
I will announce an extensive refurbishing infrastructure program,
And increase the minimum wage to $15 per hour (phased in).
I will call for a universal healthcare, single-payer system,
Announce on Day One ending the unnecessary war in Afghanistan,
Call my cabinet together and inform them of my no tolerance for grift.
I will call Mr. Vladimir Putin and tell him no more meddling, period,
I will make education through Community College tuition-free,
I will make America more about her citizens and less about me.
I will abolish the Department of Education; abolish the U.S.D.A., too,
And erect on the White House lawn a children’s petting zoo!
I will draft and extend an all-nation's nuclear non-proliferation treaty, then
Make a list of all worthy eligible candidates for the U.S. Supreme Court,
Sell my golf clubs and, lastly, take a good, long, well-deserved nap!

For the “If I Were President” contest
The jokes here about leaders show
How uniformed we truly are.
Some supernatural......sinless, poets
living up with the twinkling stars?
Are you kidding me??
What planet do you live on?
The great “unelected” white washed
masses?
I see many whose comments are to
humiliate any leader.
As if every Poet here is perfect?
Many, too happy to live off the
government money feeder.
A leader is not a circus clown.
Yes, some are dense, some cheaters.
The far left media has nothing better
to do..than cover their lies or read them
On the Tik Tok intellectual reader...barf!
I certainly don’t like dishonest ones.
It’s totally not my business how they look.
We better glance in our own moral mirror,
To see what we have done.
Because you and I are unelected is no
Sign of perfection.
You chose another path, with leaders like
......”Sylvia Plath.?”
Pointing fingers is childish-and giggling
at their looks?
Children do this in classrooms!
Instead of learning from books!
The unwashed, unelected, you and I,
are the bright Ones who elected them.
Get to work and throw the bums out!
Do not complain as you elected the ones
who brought many nations pain.
Think of the Ukraine! Denied a no fly zone?
Doing that? Killed more than Al Capone.
We are far from innocents, many recently
here, elected a fool!
It’s our job, to have no stolen elections, so
that sanity and freedom will rule.
All-leaders are not imperfect.
All the non elected are not either. Get it?
The rapists, murderers, complainers, do
nothing for any nation.
Elected does not mean evil, unless your
mind and soul are on a groovy, sunflower
vacation!
Best Wishes to All Nations

Who Elected Recent Presidents
By Franklin Price
2/1/2016
Who elected recent presidents?
My guess is you don't know
It was not the ones who voted
But the ones who did not go
If you are of the majority
Whose ballots end up blank
Don't be disenchanted with results
You only have yourself to thank
Congress was Elected
By Franklin Price
1/23/2019
Congress was elected
For the people of their state
To follow selfish party lines,
Degrades this country's fate
Be seated there because you care
Listen to constituents
Respond only to, who elected you,
Not inconsequential incidents
There as a representative
Not as one who stands alone
Not as a prince or princess
Who may ascend unto the throne
Don't think you are George Washington
Whom many wanted as the king
He refused, what makes you think,
We will bow and kiss your ring?
The populous is waking up
No longer buying what you sell
Start fighting for your people
Or they'll ring your ending bell
