A place of branches revealing an empty day
                                      after a long rainy day
                                a time comes and goes
                                         radiating golden light
on the window sill and a radiant downpour
and raindrops hit the window pane
                           akin to timorous wings
                                  then all is still
                      stones are crooned to sleep
with the quiet sound of rain slowly subsiding
                      and cradled in the branches
                          deep in bowels of earth
among the bright buds a slumbering silence reigns
                     It has bitter incidents
                      forced breakthroughs
                   moments of disconnection
                          can also be glorious
                      experience in the spotlight
                  however we have been blessed
to be able to leave this world in a hurry
          to breathe to live
           to love to forget
          to forgive to work
to start a fresh day with a recent toil
& be a muse to convey a smile to somebody's face
                   embrace this journey
              halcyon destinations are ready
to sprinkle sparkles & to lighten
                           your ways with
                   shining stars

The Shores of Elation

In dreams, there is an island
where we belong, just you and me,
and that little thing we call love
where moon is always smiling
her silver rays on the edge
where the waters play
while hand in hand we can wander
over the shores of elation
and through the trees in the dark forests
of torment when we stop to make love
beneath the boughs
my heart sings her name
from the caves of intimacy
the entrance to our paradise is waiting
for my love
for no ship can take her to this place
again, I call her name and reach for her hand
and with fingers entwined
I take her deeper into the cave
and through the damp darkness
I lead her to my dreams
and the island of love

In my eighteenth season, strangers used brotherhood as decorative
ribbons to gift me a feel and a truth that have stayed my life long. At a nature adorned ranch flowed a celebratory wedding reception upon soft
green field carpets so lush that they matched the gentle generosity of
my host's acceptance. I was a welcomed wanderer, a presence made
to feel I belonged and was valued. Old, wizen oak and willow trees
provided a poetic, scenic border for the velvet ground and shaded the
serene river on the other side of their mighty and graceful tree limbs.
It was Fall, of course it was Fall, the season of lusciousness and breezes
that render promising tickles upon titillated flesh. As music flowed, love
in sincere smiles became hand-to-hand holding, loose swaying arms, and uninhibited kicks from dancing legs all moving carefree bodies in a spontaneous, jubilant circle of dance. In a flash-know, I felt harmonious sensations empower all to unite in the spiritual perfection from which
we had come and would, in time, return as brothers and sisters gone home.

when perfect harmony sounds ~
leggy spirits kick

Vibrating elations brightened the sun’s own light and dissolved all human egos’ need-feel to be acknowledged as right. I knew none of the faces, yet I knew them all, just as they knew me because a mutual dance
feel took us all inside core truth; all were one in the same from the same
one of perfect love. Such knowing elated my dance with soul-intoxication. The air continued piping in rock’s most poignant lyrics sung by genuine, emotive voices that grabbed us all while drums beat as one with our
hearts until our pulses ignited, and guitars glided on soared, radiating
nirvana highs through our inside-otherness. These sensations all led me
to know what I still know, dancing that unexpected afternoon was more important in establishing my life’s philosophical purpose than many of the priorities I had been taught were paramount to living a successful life.

songs swirl inner depths
lifting souls in all who dance ~

As I worked out at the gym one night
My eyes were captured in sight
By a beauty so young
With a curvy pert bum
She winked, was that the green light

Over the weeks we chatted and dated
My breasts she says, are so underrated
I said what can I do
To enhance them for you
And make you feel so elated

Oh honey, would you do that for me
When I undress you'll like what you see
They'll be so inflated
And I'll be glad that I dated
From flat chested I'll be so busty

So of to the plastic surgeon she went
Saying my money has been really well spent
I'll call you later my dear
At the gym don't you fear
In your mind you'll be full of torment

I waited and the call never came
Middle aged I'm just not in the game
I've been so well done
By a curvy pert bum
My bank balance will never be the same

I didn’t sleep a wink, that night; I never do at the beach.
The gentle surf, it calls to me in the night and for a swimsuit I reach.

How it stimulates my imagination and I dream, with open eyes;
of caverns, deep and dark, where I may find a wondrous surprise.

I chat philosophy, with dolphins and swim for miles, with whales;
the jellyfish, they light my way, as I ride, a manatee’s tail.

I race sea horses and dance with starfish, too.
I find a vibrant world, beneath the Caribbean blue.

When morning comes I’ll down some toast and juice;
I’ll run down to that silver surf and swim an hour or two.

With sunlight’s fingers upon my back; the breeze will dry my hair.
Shortly I will have to leave; it really isn’t fair.

Back at home, I’ll write and paint my adventures at the sea;
and daydream all my workdays; till there again, I’ll be.

Elation and Vacillation a Comedy

Elation & Vacillation a comedy
A poem
Lionel Derbyshire

Every day I want to .. but I could not
Today I must do .. I have to
Yesterday I let it go away so today
I will not run dry, I will , I must
I have done my mirror practice
And I looked so good so here goes
Cannot wait another minute
Before I bleat myself with over worry
Must not become tense this is really it
Will not plummet , will not go down
Rise I am the centre of my universe
No need to annex my courage
The time has really come
Come on now, chin is up on high
My teeth is white, my smile is wide
My shoes are polished , my shirt is ironed
I am top class.
I m a getting there after I leave here
I will swing my arms when I get there
I will stand on my own two feet
I will sway and dance with joy
Confidently I have such high hopes
Singing now, no doubt about it
I ‘ll be over the moon when Sally says “YES”
So here goes …. Shelly will you marry me ??

Whack smack ! wrong girl …

Premium Member A Crave For Elation

Perhaps I dream.
Or live in some stupor,
dreading hallucinations.
Why can’t I have
Iridescent reveries?
Perhaps it’s all in the mind,
The aptitude of what I don’t require.

But it is not what I want.
I want to be in heaven,
to feel the ecstasy of love.
It matters not if I am happy or sad,
feel a well being or a pain,
I only yearn for an euphoria
that's hard to define.

I wake covered in sickly sweat,
I feel reality but alas
the dream ebbs into oblivion,
and there only remains
an inexplicable crave.

Elation-

taking the long way
Grandma with her stick and me
ankle deep cold creek

homing pigeons rise
circling evening skies
fledgling blue-bars in training

blackberry stained lips
sipping hot sassafras tea
fireflies welcome home

Profound Elation

Incinerate me with your fierce ardor
Dissolve your very being into me
We converge and detonate
Into a state of bliss
Your osculations are exceptionally pleasurable
As i liquify and flow into your veins
To forever be in your heart literally
Intaking your ambiance straight to my brain
Seeping into your arms like molten wax
Endeavoring to extract your very essence
Longing uncontrollably for your contact
Your hands not only touches my skin
Your hands caresses my heart and soul
Sending me spiraling into penetrating delight
That overcomes my senses and renders me
Susceptible to your every impulse
Which always leaves my form
Vibrating ferociously
Purrrrr

My guitar sings, it’s reverberating strings; dance with my fingers.

My dulcimer cries and whines; telling folk tales, centuries old.

One with the strings, their harmony brings elation, to my soul.

I knew him from my past
He was kind and beautiful,
A silent sigh breathed out
From the feelings, so overwhelming
Larger than life feelings – melting
Away the darkness, sending
Light through the heart and soul

I knew him like I knew hope
With vibrancy that hastened to show
Me the wonderful inside his soul,
The miracle that would lift my eyes
Toward the promise of forever,
The delightful in being together –
Shining devotion into the promises,
The possibilities endless, measured
By understanding that hesitated
To bring the soul into the brightness
A brand new kiss from the sun’s rays,
Embracing the joy that comes from
Knowing the miracle of love that keeps
	growing

I knew him like I know joy,
With a feeling alive,
Both lovely and exultant,
Piercing the darkness,
Fulfilling the spirit with a contentment
Arising from the life
Who knows what it is to feel
The overwhelming love,
The way it captures the attention,
Survives every affliction,
Sets out to cure and heal, blessing
Away every doubt, every fear
With the music of faith
That lasts through the years

I knew him from so very long ago.
His kiss, his smile, his love
Forever blessing me with assurance
That we were a part of one another,
Two pieces meant for more…
Two fragments of forever, always
Being wedged together, composing
A promise, a song, a prayer…
A feeling that is always alive, always aware

This overwhelming sense of bliss…
It is forever written in the sentences
Poetry quieting the clouds, raining
Down through the spirit – sensitivity
Comfort, blessings so pure and noble
They show that forever is more beautiful
Than any memory of a past that just didn’t last

I knew him from the past, but together
Forever became the reason we would stay
Enchanted by each moment, each day….
With the overwhelming love that promised
To be with us throughout life…
Caressing our dreams, releasing our memories
To become pieces of the truth that emerged
From two hearts, two loves, two souls
Writing their moments down in history!
