Best Dorothy Poems
When Dorothy and Tin Man were dating
She didn’t prepare for the mating
Til’ she heard a bang
And shouted out, “Dang,
Something inside there’s inflating”
Since Dorothy’s one chick he lusted
Poor Tin said he was disgusted
Coz there was no oil can
Nearby them at hand
To free up his zipper now rusted
As Tin was kissing Dorothy’s lips
He sadly knew he had to come to grips
‘Til she yelled, “My man
I’ll open your can
Coz in my purse I brought some tin snips!”
My work is identity
The axe in my hand
No blisters to bother me
As for years I just stand
The weeds and the flowers
Call me back down to earth
The brown rust confuses
Destroys my self-worth
The tears and the rain
Have frozen me here
It could be forever
At least that is my fear
But then I hear singing
And love with a twirl
There's something of beauty
This dog and this girl
She stops to acknowledge
Where my work is so stale
I am rescued completely
My Dorothy Gale
We converse, no lips moving
I creak and I groan
She talks of a journey
To get herself home
I determine to help her
As she's helping me
We walk and we talk
It feels good to be free
It's strange but I know that
She strives for the best
I feel something beating
Once again in my chest
Not sure where we're going
When this journey will end
But I feel like I love her
This newly found friend
Gate to adventures
Portal to foreign lands,
That mystical caress
The calm of sunset
And the flame of brilliance,
Stare not for too long,
Unless you give into a trans,
And live your life
Chasing unpromised beauty.

Dorothy and her dog Toto collide
Up they go on a magic carpet ride
From Kansas home, they whirled
To a make-believe world
They were in Oz to find the other side
By law forbid tinted glass
it is necessary
in my little atom
milky way
pushed in
they are always pushing me somewhere.
me
to me
me, me meeeeeeeeeeee
I somehow feel like goat
sometimes
having that
feeling possessed by familiarity of unknown
I really wish
just once
for a change
to dance on a happy song
statistics said
that love of british for a dog
lasts
until they buy
a new couch
f***
according to that
I quote pretty well
you know
for a goat
my mother thaught me
when time changes the record
it is good to know
how to pick a right bone
to make a good soup
(and in that, clean faced, swear that we didn't use beef cube)
she taught me well
when I finally clean up
everything from my bag
only thing left will be umbrella
to keep me safe eventually
if it starts to rain
someones mother will cry today
at least they have annunciate so
on the radio
When I was a boy I thought money grew on trees
I thought my mother could do everything
cook dinner for six children
buy me all the toys I wanted
and do my homework
which she would not
When I was a boy I thought my teacher as my father
I thought he would tuck me in at night
take me to the ball games
answer all my silly questions
and buy me all the banana splits I could eat
When I was a boy I thought as a boy
A five block radius in North Philly
was my world
I walked home from school for lunch
played with my brothers and sisters during the summers
and sat on the stump until 9pm
Go over Aunt Dorothy's for family gatherings
Next door neighbor lived alone and gave us loose chain
to buy candy and potato chips
I saw white people when my mother would take us
downtown to buy clothes for back to school
When I was a boy I thought as a boy
One time we put a stray dog in crate and threw it down
the basement of an abandoned house
We would later return to see if the dog had died
but it did not
When I was a boy I was afraid to die
and prayed to god that I would live to age 95
When I was a boy I thought I was a man
but men do not do foolish things
I think of the boys in my life
who think that they are men
but boys do not do foolish things
Dorothy and her lovely small dog Toto.
Were all taken up in a fierce tornado.
Ran into three helpless bobos.
A Tin man, Lion, and Scarecrow.
No Wizard needed, just the Dr Phil show.
The three went to see Dr. Phil, a PHD.
No heart for the Tin man, just psychotherapy.
Told the Lion to get a set,
and the Scarecrow to not forget.
All thanked the Dr, and walked away happily.
The Wizard they all thought had magical powers.
Worked and schemed, behind his curtain, every hour.
His curtain was removed.
The people were amused.
Now, he plays behind the curtain in the shower..
Bobo: A slang Spanish word meaning half witted.

"So Dorothy, your visit here is now in Oz folklore."
"You mean to say," said she, "I'm not in Kansas anymore?"
"Oh dear, I thought you knew that fact; the Munchkins made it clear."
"I joke," she said, "I play it dumb as part of my veneer."
"Haha, quite droll, now tell us about your murder trial?"
"The witch?" She snaps, "I defend myself by plain denial,
I had no idea of where my little house would land."
"You're hoping we believe your little journey was not planned?"
She answers, "Yes, of course, I have no say if dreams come true,
I flew here on a wind, quite odd, of course, and Toto too."
"My name is Gale, you know, which is just a bit ironic."
"I understand," I reply, a trifle too sardonic.
"I do not like your tone, young man," she answers in riposte.
"You, sir, are not at all what I would call a friendly host."
"You are being rude, and I'm having such a horrid day;
This interview is over now; I must be on my way
I have to find the Wizard Oz to help with my defense."
"That yellow road, I think, is where my journey will commence."
"Beware," I warn, "that road is full of lions, fierce and brave."
Then in red shoes, away, she skips with just a little wave.

Dorothy's friends comprised a quite motley lot
Wanted Wizard to fix things that were shot.
Thought Wizard surely must know
best fixes for poor ego
Instead he said "These guys the best you've got?"
Somewhere on the ocean waves in the year of sixty six
The ocean wind and rain joined forces, a deadly dangerous mix
We were on our way from the Mediterranean, where we were deployed
Amphibious operations and some ports that we enjoyed
It was mid July, the sea was calm on a warm and sunny morning
We were heading into inclement weather, a violent hurricane warning
Later that day the seas picked up much higher than the norm
Word was passed that we were heading into the eye of the storm
We sailed against the wind fighting hard to stay on course
We had never before encountered a storm with such driving force
Waves the size of mountains came crashing across the bow
Dorothy was magnificent, queen of the seas for now
She never moved toward the mainland and had a very short history
She moved northward in the Atlantic and finally died at sea
We returned to Norfolk where our journey had begun
Check the superstructure and assess the damage that was done
Dorothy was a nightmare the way she howled and screamed
Dorothy was more beautiful than anything we dreamed
Sometimes I look out over the ocean thinking way back then
And Dorothy in her Glory, I’d love to see her once again.
Hurricane Dorothy in 1966 was a short lived hurricane
that died out in the North Atlantic never reaching the mainland.
I was at sea in the eye of the storm. Awesome.
Wicked Witch of the West always jealous
Her green skin couldn't be seen near the trellis.
Cackling at Dorothy, you’re
Not in Kansas anymore
Scarecrows are all you will get for fellas.
What happens in your world is your problem.
It's what's in your heart and soul, a poem.
The lion beast I will meet;
A heart that will kiss my feet.
Flashing a smile, he will use a condom.
Miss Dorothy Gale , European
was forced to learn language Ozian.
Book ‘Wizard of OZ’-
She read from A to Z,
and encountered witty magician.
Just hypnotised by magical wonder
also mesmerised by splendid splendour,
common sense to forego
and IQ turned zero.
In land of OZ she had to wander.
She's an angel with no visible wings
Her words bring encouragement
She has become my muse
Dearest, do you make flowers bloom in the days
And meet angels in the nights?
I heard beauty lives upon your face,
But not beauty of sufficient end…
Beauty of natural depth
They say, your mind too kind to exist with hate
Your eyes too bright to see the dark
But beloved, will you gaze upon your heart and find me there?
Will you gaze upon your mind and dream me there?
Upon these eyes, gaze awhile, dream awhile
For longer than awhile… my eyes will die
A death just imposed by the invisible cullers
myself catching tracing graduations the colours
the artist in me myself instinctively tracing
work a share miseries to inspiration making
graduations of deaths colours on her lovely face
lost my anchor heart lost no longer in her embrace
a rationale left with me just slashing poor word strokes
lovely Dorothy gently softly escapes her yokes
by submission
I must hold her for one last embrace
