Cleopatra, The-Deo-Swagger

I swagger on up, up onto the top,

yet it wasn't my style, being Queen of the Nile,

they saw me a leader, who filled up their jigger,

for the praises they sound, I need to keep them around,

being a swag I was high, being tagged a nice guy

for the love they bestow, I just had to know,

was all this too much, or just a nice touch,

was it good or bad, was it sweet or sad,

but you know what they say, hands together and pray,

for the swag world she love, was her anointing dove.

Love In a Time of Corona Copyright a S Deo

I
Love in a time of Corona is best
Expressed between a loyal couple
We have time on our hands, rest
Cannot be overdone, neither should sex (Love-makin')

II
Love in a time of Corona is wisest
In your private premises; stay away from exotic places
Keep it simple, keep it humble (Humble? you ask) -
"There will be time enough for exotica, places and races."

III
Love in a time of Corona will pass, and then
Will you have great memories? A foretaste of retirement?
We are blest when we have a loyal love, Christian even,
And Fate has given us time - for catching up, prayer, enjoyment

IV
Now, if you easily pass the test, of humble home-rest
Will you go beyond borders? Pray for others less blessed?
Even those foes ("the enemy,") for the children's sake?
I, for one, surprised myself, by blessing my teachers, professors ....

Coram Deo Vivere - Living In the Presence of Christ

On the seven hills, virtue arrives concealed -
The discalced cross the hill country, making haste -
A presence quickening the littlest of hearts...
Privileged to greet him along the rocky passes.

Climbing the ten stringed peak,
Untold souls in silence, harmonize espousal glory,
Not alone moving mountains, but faith forward with empty hands, full.

At the four corners, thunder echoes -
Peeling hearts, stripping their core bare,
With quiet voices - mouthpieces roaming the earth in stillness of soul.

In the distance, soaring birds in flight on his breath,
Lift longing breasts to the heavens in solitude,
Singing angelic hymns with one heart and mind,
Rejoicing in revelations of truth from above.

At the three tiered platform,
Between the hills and the sky,
Resting martyrs, concealed in his blood,
Bowed heads leaning upon the wooden beam.

At the time of visitation,
Unrecognizable to many,
Known only to faithful followers,
The Holy Face of Christ not hidden,
His appearance simply out of view!

Jerusalem Collaboration With Anil Deo

My Salem, my shalom, maybe yours as well -
Be well; build a well again – we’ll all be well, or
Better than before in Jerusalem of the heart
Whose Jerusalem made Jesus weep?
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, You who kill the Prophets …”
Forgive me, Redirect me, as your beloved exiles sang
Even in despair as long as millennia, you call your own!
Salem of mystery, of history, of prophecy!
Jesus had wanted to gather her under His tallit, Robe
Of Righteousness – by our Rabbi of Righteousness.
Jesus showed his royal face and mystery-lineage once
To Abraham, revered Patriarch, respected Father:
As the High-Priest without beginning or end,
Melchizadek, King of Salem & Righteousness!
Who took the first tithe from our father-in-common
And delivered bread and wine: the first Communion
O Jerusalem of Jesus, How Long – how much longer?
I adore Thee like no earthly City
Come Jerusalem, Mother, Father, Heaven, Earth
All tongues sing of Thee, O Jerusalem, Come
I,I Second
Jerusalem land of faith, land of all religions on earth
Jerusalem oh beloved Jerusalem, land of martyrs and saintly blood
Jerusalem where Prophet Muhammad rose to the seventh sky
You're the heaven that's on earth
You're the meaning of purity and clarity,
The meaning of beauty and love, Jerusalem –
Land of GOD and all prophets
We seek you, we pray … to be in the hands of GOD
In you we seek to illuminate the darkness from our hearts
In you we seek freedom from our sins
Jerusalem oh beloved Jerusalem
We will die without you; we will fight to love you like others
You belong to God’s children; all of God – yes, ALL of GOD
III, Third
My Jerusalem, Thy Jerusalem, City of Past
And forever; replete with Prophecy – Speak!

Mother of All Political Poetry, Yucatec Maya and Dr Anil Sook Deo

Staking Claims: For Yucatec Maya & Native Peoples

The stones of the desert cry with me
They are brothers and sisters, but no bloody kin
New hearts see just cold rocks … no warmth or charity …
Might you see how we worship gods in them?

The gods themselves are dead, buried in hopeless holes
They died when we could not stop the excesses of each Columbus
Who brought a brutal hunger for gold and souls
Then bone and marrow fell within Columbus’ compass

The trees and tree stumps of the Yucatan
Hold deep scars and memories in their bosoms
The limestone cries quietly for the sons of Chillam Balam
Their tears yielding tomorrow’s blossoms

For even grasses, herbs, insects … know
That they too will be sucked, one after another
Away from the withering, wrinkled body of our Mother
Through a gaping hole in the atmosphere

All earth cries with the sun and stone worshippers
The blackened peasant clasps his callused hands
With those last calories from a breakfast of peppers
Unaware that his gods died hopelessly condemned

The desert explodes into those oases
Where infatuated faith still yields cool, delicious flesh
And forgiving flowers among the spikes in the cactus:
The desert and stones are gentler than Columbus
©Dr. A. S. Deo, 500 Years after Columbus, circa 1996.

BACKGROUND NOTE OF HORRORS:
(Written in the 1990s. Blood and tears are part of the story, not only for Native Peoples like the Maya of the Yucatan, but for my wife and daughters, too. A Sri Lankan professor allied with my Promoter/Chairman of my doctoral committee, objected to my politics outside of the classroom. They used the clout of the legal department at my campus, The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, to shut me up and deny my degree. They failed, thanks to my “cold stone gods” and Jesus. I defended my thesis, successfully, on 1 May 1995 and was back working in my native South Africa in June 1995! Soon I was hired by the Department of Foreign Affairs in Pretoria, when Nelson Mandela was President. He retired in 1998. Sadly, little changed in the then DFA at the Union Buildings, and poor of South Africa … and across the globe, continue to get false hope & promises from Liberals, Conservatives, Blacks & Whites. Jesus alone will speak truth to you, about EVERYTHING. Check a Bible near you, start with John's Book)

Vivas In Deo, Live In God

Vivas in Deo (live in God)

Through thick and thin,
life goes on.
With strong faith in God,
hope assures like a light
along the path of life.

Moments of darkness,
moments of pains.
There's always a space
where God dwells.

It's a continuing cycle,
a taste of everything.
That life embraces within
the heart of every human being.

I call to mind heretofore,
the great Latin poet Virgil,
he once wrote, "trahit sua quemque voluptas"
(everyone is drawn by his own desire)
and it's my desire:
to live in God
throughout my life.

Deo Volente

God's willing we shall strive
May we never lose our drive
You cry, I cry, we all cry
But then again sometimes we smile

God's willing very soon it shall rain
Torrents of blessings, oh! We're tired of just dews
We shall occupy flamboyant terrains
Brace yourself, I see us standing on higher plateaux

God's willing all your seeds shall grow
Though u shall only reap what you sow
Some call it a bluff; it's a truth we all know
You only escape if next winter produces pink snow

God's willing we shall marry before our thirties
At forty, rich enough to buy Bentleys and Ferraris
Haha, hey you! I clearly caught you smiling
Make sure u also go out and do some planting

You just put in some work, trust God and avoid envy
The future is bright I need not go philosophical like Ghandi
Our tomorrow shall definitely taste like juice and brandy
Gods willing... Oh! Deo Volente!

Good Morning Aphorism From Doctor Deo

During 30 days of discipline (4 hour prayer in Johannesburg for all of August 2019), God's Holy Spirit led me to inspire "tired" prayer warriors:

"Good Morning! The reason it is GOOD morning, folks, is:
"Because God is GOOD to us, to Creation, we will have a good morning. If God is not good, you cannot hope for a good morning."

So, I may often say, "GOD MORNING," instead of good morning. In North America, I might be called "corny" for saying this ... but after you dwell on this "SPIRIT thought" - I could not really create it - you will be en-LIGHT-ened. PTL

not a poem but concern for anil deo

Hello Everyone

First, Happy Thanksgiving to one and all who celebrate the day.

Second, does anyone have any information on Anil Deo.
I'm very concerned and worried about him.
I'm not always active and I'm not sure if I missed anything.
I don't see any activity however.

If anyone has an update or information I would greatly appreciate anything you would be able to share.

Thank You
Peace and Blessings to All

Hardest Advice I - Pastor Deo - Gave a Woman

I
If you defended your purity and your Christian womanhood as you quickly defend your grown children, you would be used mightily by our Trinity (our Triune Godhead: Father Son Spirit)

II
A daughter in her twenties had a court interdict (protection order) against her for going to mom's boyfriend's home & compelling mom to come home. At the same time that daughter & boyfriend made out at their home almost daily when mom came from work. Mom would not allow any to criticize Emilio's affair with her daughter anyway!

III
The son, over 18, was threatened at gunpoint by a local dad not to "jol with my daughter." Mom went after that man, Alister.

Aphoristic Humor - Maybe - By Doctor Deo

Your Face:
The face you have before age 40 is what Nature and genes gave you; the face you have after 40, is what you gave yourself!

Premium Member By Anil Deo,

Quasars (definition)
a massive & remote celestial object, emitting large amounts of energy, having a star like image in a telescope. Been suggested that quasars contain massive black holes, and may represent a stage in the evolution of some galaxies

by Anile Deo
All that we see, up and down, day and night
May feel "LIGHT" but 95 percent, out of sight,
Is "dark matter"** that shaped our universe
You may ask, "How does he know this, Bible man!"
Quasars shine so bright, appear as stars to a human
Quasar is: Active Galactic Nucleus/Nuclei, powered by Black Hole
In 1979, Q9057+561 betrayed what Einstein guessed: G. Lensing
Revealing a massive galaxy sits between our Milky Way and Q9057+561
All this says stars rotate at same speeds no matter where they are!
In Genesis, the very second verse, revealed Dark Forces, forget the Atom!
"[E]arth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the Deep."
Coincidence? What we see is tiny compared to what forces there be
**Note: I ought to make Dark Matter about 25 percent of the Universe because the link with Dark Energy (70 percent) is not there! So together dark "Forces" are 95 percent of what there is in the Universe

Premium Member Soli Deo Gloria - Inspired

“Soli Deo Gloria*” --- we testify
God Almighty our praises magnify
Midst His mercy and truth that sanctify
Since He by His pardon does purify.

“Glory to God** alone” is our faith’s goal
In ministering with servanthood role
Fulfilling the best along kindness’ pole
Helping build lives, or making someone whole.

God deserves glory for our gratefulness
Thanking His compassionate graciousness
Granting our souls salvation-completeness
Assuring eternal life’s blissfulness.

For the Lord’s glory, we exalt His name
Majestic midst love’s omnipotent fame
Vanquishing hatred of deceitful game
Surmounting selfishness with pride-propped claim.

Giving Christ the glory along trust-flight
Pleases Him in our triumphant delight
Winning bravely over temptation’s fight
Clinging firmly to His mercy and might.

*“Soli Deo gloria” is a Latin term for “Glory to God alone.”
**Luke 2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
