Where conifers gaily waltz tempos evergreen
Unspoiled by human deeds, pure, and pristine,
Eagles soar there, spanning freedom wings
And trees gently whisper to rhythmic bird trills
Echoing grey owls, blue jays, robins, crossbills,
Hopping, jumping, circling, frolicking in breeze
Reveling with hatchlings, feeding on berries
As sun rays filtering-in on wildflowers glow
Oscillating shadows in gusting, windy, woes
Amidst bears’ huffs, woofs, raging ugly growl
When raccoons coyly snarl at foxes’ feral-howl
Hiding from pitter-patter of tropical rainfall
In heavenly paradise as birdsongs toll daylong
Serenading the land where liberty is paramount
In forest of my dreams’ blossoming sanctuary~
A temple, a hideaway, a refuge, an ecosystem,
A reserve for humanity, a shrine for sanctity,
In equilibrium, edifying calmness and peace
Where elixir of sacred life flows in holy streams
Sustaining earth’s renewal in tranquil harmony.

Autumn Awakes

Rustling ochre, crimson leaves all daylong,
A coolness settles, shorter days advanced,
Easterlies, westerlies, tradewinds strong,

Southward birds fly, so parts summer birdsong,
Mid leaves lay spiked beech, acorn--care enhanced,
Rustling ochre, crimson leaves all daylong,

Sweetness in brambles flourished berries throng,
Black, elder, wild rasp--touched tastebuds danced,
Easterlies, westerlies, tradewinds strong,

Favored spots, here and there, all lists are long,
'Tis time hearts invent for landscape has entranced,
Rustling ochre, crimson leaves all daylong,

Deep verdant Ivy becomes, draped headlong,
Few flowers blooms hugged flown insects instanced,
Easterlies, westerlies, tradewinds strong,

Harvested tabled, prayers blessed belong,
Autumn picturesque, surroundings felt...glanced,
Rustling ochre, crimson leaves all daylong,
Easterlies, westerlies, tradewinds strong.

A Dreamer

Like a bird
I want to croon daylong
wing off the cage to where I belong.

Like a reed
I want to sigh my wind
pipe my heart artfully to no end.

Like a song
I want to voice my inner harmony
as mind and soul merge in beauty.

Like ripples
I want to expand my feel
send waves shimmering with zeal.

Like Euterpe
I want to touch souls and inspire
my musing, my music are to admire.

Like a poet
I want to cast a spell of wit on my pen
and have the world of words as my den.

Like a dreamer
I want to walk on boundless paths
a free spirit lured by heights and depths.

In a Summer Meadow

Being bathed by sunshine showers
Is a vast array of wildflowers.
Swaying in time to a summer song
This field of color is a dancing throng.

They shimmy in the daytime heat
And move as one to a breezy beat.
Their petals are poised for celebration
And send out a perfumed invitation.

Bees soon catch wind of the scented air
And gather to sample the meadow’s fare.
From flower to flower they buzz and play
Enjoying the wares of the floral buffet.

Butterflies, too, join the revelry
As they float along so daintily.
Their confetti wings of airy mirth
Are bits of rainbow that flutter to earth.

Then the birds of songs and other means
Lend their plumage to the meadow scene
With notes of joyous melody
They sing of the daylong gaiety.

What About Us

Amidst plenty we grope like scavengers
Like orphans with no descent
Like clothe sellers wearing rags
Or meat vendors feasting only on bones

Had I no inheritance or birthright?
Had I only crumbs off the master’s table
Or no returns for my daylong drudgery?

But mother said we were rich
Her breasts alone feed and power the world

From day break till set of sun
We plough and sink in our seeds
And watch in marvel
As seeming lifeless earth blooms in kinds
Only to wake to harvest with sundry queries

Where is the nectar of our field?
Where are the golden eggs laid at dusk?
‘When men slept…,’ they say
The barns were emptied abroad
Stored up for the unborn

What about us the living
What about us, who dare the sun
And till the ground with blistered hands

The hens are scrawny with soiled grains
And soon may no longer yield golden eggs

A Piece of My Sky

I never want to stay away from looking at your eyes
A strong feeling that I left a piece of my sky, there.
It has a vast moment of floating clouds passing by
Golden rays of the glowing sun gently touch prayer.

I never want to miss from looking at your sleeping face
Daylong hyper, so silent my buddy now! Forever will love!
Kissed you in your dreams only to feel your baby smell
Feels like yesterday, so cordial a moment, o little dove!

Haiku On Miss

in this red evening
needle entered to the vein
someone missed daylong

Happy Thai Pongal

Harvesting Festival
And thank giving celebration
Predominantly for farmers but all
People of Tamilnadu despite their religions, celebrate the
Year harvest festival when the sun starts its journey towards north horizon

The first day is celebrated as bogi in
Honor of Lord Indra and people burn old and unwanted things
And second day is Thai pongal, third day is Mattu pongal
In honor of cattle especially cows and bulls,4th day Kanum pongal
,where get together of families take place in a public spot

People celebrate pongal- 4 daylong festival
On Jan 14- The beginning of thai month
Nearly 90 out of 100 people in Tamlinadu celebrate
Gleefully by making a rice dish(sweet pongal) outdoor
And buying sugar cane and tamarinds,to
Light up farmers lives and to thank The Sun

Note:Pongal is a sweet dish made with rice ,jaggery and milk
Ladies used to draw Rangoli(kolam) on the streets
Traditional games like Jallikattu,cock fight,
uriyadi(using a pole when blindfolded to smash a hanging pot) are celebrated in the rural areas if Tamilnadu...
And when the pot of the milk boils over ,we shout PONGAL O PONGAL...

Premium Member Our Love

Our love is like a rambling vine,
It grows, it climbs, it intertwines

Long and strong, a melodious song
Gingerly playing all daylong

Our love is like a rambling vine,
It grows, it climbs, it intertwines

Joined by God and not by man
On good soil, not sinking sand

Our love is like a rambling vine,
It grows, it climbs, it intertwines…

It will not crack, it will not break
It will not shimmy, it will not shake

Our love is like a rambling vine,
It grows, it climbs, it intertwines

Built on faith, built on trust
Unrequited love…the two of us

Our love is like a rambling vine,
It grows, it climbs, it intertwines.

Summer Solstice

The druids, its believed, held hands in prayer, facing the East
beat drums, blew horns to welcome the Summer Solstice daylong feast

Their sonorous chants, the horns and drums grew louder
as sun appeared at the horizon and steadily climbed higher.

The witches and warlocks, it’s said, danced around fire
to keep light alive even after the glorious sun retired.

Ensnared by the longest day, devotional songs all would sing
even the Satan and ghoulish devils needed the solstice's blessing

The women and men wore garlands of herb and flower
to ward off any evil spirits that came alive to wander.

I would like to silence all digital noise and chatter
sever all connections with email, Facebook and twitter

Watch reverently as the sun rises to its majestic golden best
and soak each cell till our star drowns in the deep dark West.

Thank Almighty for the pervasive luminescence and energy
the sidestepping of dusk to reveal dawn in perfect synergy.

Ayetoro Beggars

Here we are
come ~ bring it
in the morning
at noon
and in the evening
and if time permits you
and your legs could walk you
in the small hours of the night
like one, or two, or three

Here is our dwell
the comforts of all daylong
the market that markets us to feed
Here are our hands
stretch in front of us
awiting you to drop your lacks
You want progress?
You want to ward off evil spirit?
and many more deep down your mind
We are the needy
always at-alert to take your lacks
to mollify our lacks

Come ~ bring it
Ayetoro is our dwell

Be in the raining
we never retreat
rather, we stand and recline our back
on the wall, faces the road
fiddle palms to the merciful lord
who created you and us
Disequilibrium
to take off the barbaric rain
which falls on the young
with no respects for the old
and infuses us pleasant cold
and we shiver like leaves on the stream
although we are one with it

Be in the dry
we never retreat from the endless sun
that burns the skin like igniting fire
our bodies are the junction of dust
although we are one with it

We love and we become one
so we increase as the day moves on
with hope that our posterity
would write a new story

Ayetoro (peaceful life) is a well known street in Osogbo, capital city of Osun State Nigeria.

Live Life Kingsize

LIVE LIFE KINGSIZE

Life isn’t long
So sing sweet song
For bliss lifelong…
Limit your wrong
Strike the right gong
Have faith all along
Don’t be headstrong
Let peace and love prolong
When plenty problems throng
Stay brave and strong
With everyone, try to get along
Smile share and care all daylong…
Life then gifts to you a pleasant birdsong
Bout of happiness in life’s swan song!

Premium Member Sighing Breeze Whispers

Oh "the silent song of the sighing breeze"_
and melody of the birds chirping song,
the gentle swaying of the forest's trees;
sounds that mingle and twine . . . the whole daylong !

I come upon some wildflowers growing,
fragile blooms in yellow, purple and blue;
all the while that sighing breeze is blowing,
sighing, sighing- though still fragile . . . begin life new !

So, let go of the past sorrow and grief,
embrace the beauty of nature for peace;
let emotions fall like a tree's dead leaf,
the treasure you find . . . is God's great masterpiece !

Premium Member Sunset Lullaby

Upon leaves of gold, orange and brunette,
I lay with backpack as my pillow asset.
As air touches me, smooth as any duvet,
cascading songs sing from a drowsy sunset:

Mountain sleep-persuasion strong
sways treetops in cradlesong.
Lay down contents of your daylong -
wake the morn to sweet birdsong.

Rest in mountain’s majestic lure,
in pure sunset breezes demure
touchingly tucking you secure
while stars twinkle sleeps allure.
Rest as night sounds of content
wrap you in natures melodic intent.
Trees give loft to cares ascent
as sunset grabs peace’s descent.

Rest easy under night’s canopy
vocalized in sunset’s rhapsody,
and trilled in twilight’s pageantry,
to bring dreams of prime fantasy.
Sleep sweet in sunset’s essence
under the galaxy’s guard presence.
Feel sunset’s alluring radiance
rock you soft thru night’s cadence.

Mountain sleep-persuasion strong
sways treetops in cradlesong.
Lay down contents of your daylong -
wake the morn to sweet birdsong.
