Best Curly Poems
Blossoms to the spring
Through meadow among small lamb
Wraps the globe in light
Intoxicated fragrance
Garden bursting with snowdrops

The magic gem of curly hair,
Procures itself in sodden downpour.
Frizz retracts and curls define,
Revitalised by heaven's moisture.
No brolly required.
No wind-swept locks.
A long-awaited makeover,
Of the most natural kind.

Helter-skelter, upper-downer,
Bigger smaller, richer poorer
Bitter sweeter, kinder meaner
Sifter opener, thicker thinner.
Meek or dumb, pinky and thumb
Top or bottom, height and fathom.
Head or toe, friend and foe
Day or night, left and right.
Larry scoops Moe; Moe swoops Curly
Curly chunks Larry; Larry yanks Moe.
There she was
Cute as can be
Laughter in her eyes
A smile on her face
As full of joy
As she could be
Snow white as her gee
Dark brown was her belt
And blacks would quake
Then she was about
With her to fight
Would make a man flee
Cold was her demeanor
Quick was her moves
Ruthless her style
Who would have thought
How could it be
This cute little girl
Made grown men flee
Hours
Spent
Straightening her
Tangled blonde hair
Thousands
Spent
Taming her
Wild
Golden locks
Ages
Spent
In front of a
Dishonest
Mirror
That lied
And lied again
About her
Beauty
Within
Don’t you know
Those curls are a treasure
My curly friend?
When I play with them at
Night
Again
And
Again
Wrapped round my fingers
Feeling your original curly sin
Don’t you know
Those curls are a pleasure
My curly friend?
As they tickle my
Soul
In their
Serpentine
Intent
I want to mess your
Proper blonde
Into a wild naked disarray
Curls and more
Curls
A field of windswept
Growth
I want to bury my nostrils
Into the heady bare
Perfume
Of your silent
Curly
Oath
And
I
Won’t
Let
You
No,
I
Won’t
Let
You
Defile those curls
Again
Little doll with curly hair, how did God
Make you so fair? With big eyes color sky
And with skin as rose as a healthy child...
Fall asleep as you hear my sweetest lullaby!
The radiant moon has come into your dreams,
What can she offer you: if not moonbeams?
And as you breathe, you resemble a cherub
That Rafael imagined to be you in that crib
When happy angels gathered and whispered,
" Little doll, gently lay on your golden head."
This nursery rhyme you will learn in time,
And sing it to yourself when church bells chime.
You'll long for a hand to caress your cheeks...
feeling its warmth while you will float on dreams.

Of Ebola, sensible persons are scared
There was time in the US to be prepared
For decades the virus has been known
How to control has clearly been shown
Working in a crude Liberian tent
Doctors are found reasonably content
When, to safety, strict attention is paid
Ebola virus disease is rarely conveyed
Growing numbers in Africa dead
Showed Ebola continued to spread
Nobody could sensibly think anymore
The virus wouldn’t reach the US shore
The threat the CDC should understand
See that needed supplies were on hand
Issue guidelines unmistakably clear
Make certain that all hospitals hear
Then, before it was too late
Training sessions mandate
Be certain nurses knew what to do
A virus, to them, deadly and new
Rather, in the manner of stooges three
Their ineptitude all could plainly see
An apology is far from enough
For failing in such basic stuff
How mild spring comes in
the magic of nature bound
with many soft curls
They crouching close together
folded in each other's hearts
"Curly Sue" is pretty simple,
Romcom of nineteen ninty one.
Strangely recognized an impel
To rhyme her out to make her mine.
For those born in twenty something
Curly Sue does not ring a bell.
Said "You're curly Sue, sweet dumpling!"
To my niece. "Who's that?", she compeled.
As a child, when I was little.
Curly modelled as "super cute".
Decades past, she's just a tittle
In films ocean, that is brute.
Wonder why I still remember
Curly Sue? It's just silly, no?
For some reason have this ember
For Sue and want my niece to know.

Curly and Shemp
*Jerome Lester Horwitz,
often dimmer than your wits,
famously known as Curly Howard, one of the three stooges,
his slapstick comedy split our sober from laughter like being in centrifuges.
*Samuel Horwitz,
a mind filled crackers, no ritz,
Lithuanian Jewish mom says "Sam" with her accent came out "Shemp",
like the original three, ad-libbing and wisecracks, **filled baby bro's shoes as his temp.
*Five brothers; Irving, Benjamin, Samuel (Shmuel), Moses (Moe), Jerome (Curly)
**Curly's ill-fated stroke caused Shemp to return as his original stooge self or Moe and Larry comedy series would have ended.

The Three Stooges
I Am: Hello guys it’s an honor, fellows
Moe: HELLO!
Larry: HELLO!
Curly: HELLO!
The Three Stooges: HELLOS!
I Am: You’re known as half-wits, birdbrains, knuckleheads,
Curly, you’re known as Porky pine, right?
As a little girl I never appreciated rough-housing humor.
Moe a mean man and you weren’t very bright
I did adore Curly with sisterly affection.
Curly: You ain’t half bad yourself toots! With my reclamation
Moe: Remind me to kill you later, hmm, maybe strangulation
Curly: OK, I’ll make a note of it! Can’t make me worry
Larry: Stick up for yourself Curly!
Moe: Yeah, what do you have to say?
Curly: Well, I oughta—tell ya another day
Moe: You oughta what? Have some finess
Curly: I oughta mind my own business
Moe: That’s better! Porky Pine
I Am: Moe, would you take another question of mine?
Moe: Yeah, make it snappy,
Larry: Moe’s always been too slap happy
I AM: Were you at one time called Ted Healy’s Racketeers?
Moe: The Southern Gent’s, knucklehead! Like the Three Musketeers
I Am: Your genres are farce, slapstick, musical comedy
Curly is the schlemiel—stupid, childish, and clumsy.
Larry is the schlimazel because he's not quite as stupid
but still ends up unlucky with cupid.
Moe, are you the aggressive and short-tempered leader of you three?
Curly: Why coitainly
Moe: The lady, you imbecile, is talking to me,
Curly: Hey, I resemble that remark!
Curly: Hey Moe, I can’t see! I can’t see!
Moe: Why’s that? Is it too dark?
Curly: ‘Cuz I have my eyes closed!
Moe: Wait’ll I punch you in the nose!
I Am: My best Three Stooges episodes were—Brideless Groom,
Disorder in the Court, Malice in the Palace, Sing a Song of Six Pants,
and Heavenly Daze
Larry: That’s five. Miss I Am are you in a haze?
Moe: Yeah Genius!
I Am: Thank you for your calculation, I quess
I Am: Do any one of you have a real job anywhere?
Curly: Why coitainly, I just got a job in a bakery
Moe: You never told me that numskull. What do you do there?
Curly: I’m a loafer!
Larry: That’s not surprising, and tell her you were a chauffer
I Am: Goodnight “Three Stooges” Love and Luck
Curly: Asta! NYUK! NYUK! NYUK!
Have you seen the new curly red haired girl?
Cannot say that I have, he replied, wondering.
Why was everyone saying this to him?
This was the fourth person who had asked.
There she is! Four people shouted, watching his reaction.
The minute he saw her, he understood why.
She looked like his mother had looked when she was young.
She had died when he was six, but he remembered her face.
Her hair was a bit darker than this girl’s but her eyes were the same.
Everyone wants us to meet, the girl told him, except she was not a girl.
He invited her to lunch and they talked; she was a terrific listener.
He felt he had regained a tiny bit of his mother, which was soothing.
I guess I remind people of your mother? She suggested.
She looked a lot like you, he admitted, but she was not a great listener.
I prefer speaking to you.
And he was not fibbing.
A hooligan cat homeless and tattered,
hungry, and lurking on my porch battered;
a bitten ear and one eye,
so blue that it made me- sigh !
Brought him in and soon my home was shattered . . .
