Curly Whiskers and Long Nails

A hooligan cat homeless and tattered, hungry, and lurking on my porch battered; a bitten ear and one eye, so blue that it made me- sigh ! Brought him in and soon my home was shattered . . . ______________________ May 29, 2022 Poetry/Limerick/Curly Whiskers and Long Nails Copyright Protected, ID 05-1460-383-29 All Rights Reserved, 2022, Constance La France Written for the Standard contest, A Funny Limerick - Any Theme sponsor, Tania Kitchin, Judged 06/19/2022 Third Place

Tania, thanks so much for the inspiration and contest, and my placement, this is a true event, I called him Grumpy Cat, he chose to never go outside again, preferring a sunny spot on a rocking chair by the window. And thanks so much for the compliment and congratulations, appreciate, blessings ~Constance

Tom, perhaps I can re-create them, they were written when he was alive so he was my inspiration, and the question is ... can I capture that again ???

A shame you lost them Constance because children love animal stories.

Tom, thank you so much for the visit, I had actually thought of doing children's stories about Grumpy, had started with Grumpy Gets a Bath, Grumpy Goes to the Vet, Grumpy Loses His Meow, but my stories got destroyed and I never re-created them, I really should they were so funny, blessings ~Constance

Hi friends, true story, I called him Grumpy because he would hiss and growl but in time(a lot of time) he was the most loving cat and was always doing funny things to make me laugh. When he passed away of old age it was my turn to be shattered.
