Best Cost Poems
~TAKE MY MONEY ~
Crimson Joy, L'Oreal Lips, DOLCE & GABBANA eyewear
Mascara from beyond LONDON Bridges
Like the pretty face found in front of Vanity Fair
What can I say? Perfect -- goes with my daily addiction
A beautiful morning cup, STARBUCKS got my money
It's not more or less the cost or taste.
It's all about my dependency, with popular brand names
Shopping from place to place --- with a smile on my face
VICTORIA SECRET and the way she wears her bra.
$72 dollars it's time to double up them d's
Christmas Red and December Blue
Walmart can't pick up my bust the way she claims with trust.
Hot Topic's on my dark fashion list, Star Wars decor to explore
Obsessed with any accessory from the Walking Dead?
Bennie, blankets, epic shirts with gore, spending $200.00 more
Vulture is a man, with no hair, sat me down on his chair
"Try, this mam' a flat iron that works like MAGIC."
"Did you say magic?"
Didn't ask how much, once he commenced caressing my hair
Straight and silky like when I first bought the Evolution Wand
I tried to resist, however, I swear I heard the Iron call my name
This time, I promise to use it more than once
Between you and I - I don't even care to do my hair
Next thing you know, I own the Lioness curler iron too
With Expensive shampoo and conditioner.
What can I say, Buy 2 get the third one free
Finally, I felt - I got the best bargain possible
I won't even tell you how much I paid
You'd probably think, $189.00 is steep
How could I say no?
He threw in a heating glove, that's what I call Consumer Love.
Heading home, I spot Best Buy, needing a case for my iPhone 6 plus
Strolling near aisle 3, I hear Dr. Dre, started some new beats
Falling in love with the level of quality, $299.00 how can that be?
I put a pink pair in my basket, they have to be special and unique
After all, $299. Means they are popular :)
Bargains here bargains everywhere, check out time, I paid 550 dollars
I'm so proud of myself today, I saved and gained 101 points
Happy and dandy I feel complete,
I will end, my freestyling write
With uplifting words --- Aren't you lucky I'm not your WIFE???

WELCOME TO MY WORLD
TRUE STORY
A lonely person hides to cry
An ancient person wants to die;
Within the shadows of the mind
A thought unused is left behind.
We walk the path that goes nowhere
Where silence is the friend we share;
Where friendship lives in solitude
And loneliness is thought imbued.
A single candle shares its light
With stars that pierce the shades of night;
We wait alone till we are gone
While fleeting years still hurry on.
We keep the rhythm, read the rhyme
We lose the step and pass the time;
We move with fate to reach the end
And still we never comprehend.
We lost the dream, we lost the light
We spend our years tossed in fright;
Till wisdom found how great the cost
With nothing gained when all was lost
With the rules she is quite savvy
Yet she has to pay a levy
She knows for a fact
The weight is exact
But, madam, she is top-heavy.

They say that words are cheap,
Yet I differ,
Diamonds, Gold, are costly,
Words? Much costlier.
Words of peace and kindness
Can heal a heart of blindness,
For souls that somehow
Could not see,
Hearts and souls of others
Throughout Humanity.
Humble words, soft spoken,
Which made the hearer sigh,
Words like keys to human hearts,
To hear the orphan's cry.
Words can also break a heart,
But worse, can break a soul,
The cost of this weighs heavy
For those who pay that toll.
Words more costly than
Diamonds adorning
A queen's throat,
Or devastation's rampant, of
A tyrant's words of gloat.
Words spoken in harshness,
Can break a child's heart,
But gentle word's of friendship
Help that child heal in part.
They say that words are cheap,
I totally differ,
Diamonds, Gold, are costly,
But...
Words much Costlier.
A faceless man is standing in produce.
He’s crying. No one stops.
No one asks him why.
He says the sky is falling
He says it again and again.
He grabs a passerby’s arm
and tell them it’s falling.
The passerby drops
a head of lettuce onto the floor.
A woman in tattered jeans
says the cost of meat has gone up.
A young mother
with a baby in the basket
wheels a cart of formula
and wonders how anyone
can afford to live
while outside a boy in high school
races an empty shopping cart
through the parking lot.
A woman with stringy, long hair
standing near the entrance
plays guitar
and the case is open
for dollar bills and quarters.
A weary clerk brings
in a line of carts
and says the task never ends.
The woman says life’s a show—
Bring in the clowns, she sings.
Displays of Doritos lined
up by the entrance
say buy more—
one bag is never enough.
The clerk stands near the front
and keeps his hands in his pockets
as he watches a wave of humanity
walks in and out the entrance.
The manager looks at him.
Smile, she says.
One month after his lady friend
transferred to another store
he is standing alone
in a crowd.
oh, yes ...
yes, I have ...
I've had them ... those moments
the deep, desperate, rare moments ...
"straight-from-a-movie" moments
of romance and melancholy
where the violins and violas and
cellos pull on your heart ...
forlorn music reaching down into your viscera
to yank at your soul in tyranny ...
heart-wrenching moments of
exquisite agony -
where the core burns, the hairs all
stand, the eyes close, and you're lost
to the consequence ...
brief, beautiful, tender instances that
you hold for a lifetime -
that shine like jeweled beacons among
the mists of the mundane ...
oh, how blessed I've been ... and how cursed
for this gift of creativity that so
many envy, is but a facade for the dark, dire
truth of the sensitive spirit -
we feel deeper, look deeper, wish deeper, love
deeper, and hurt ... so much deeper ...
I am thankful for those moments, for
they are precious ...
but there is a dear and diabolical price to pay
and it comes without music
in the dead ...
of night.

The cost of freedom has increased, the price went up.
It takes alot to be free, but the price is love.
And the PRIZE is love.
Not saying you have to sing; kumbaya around a fiery ring,
but voices and rainbow hands will raise high to the night sky
as we shake off shackles and chains
and they slide down
and wrap around
the original drum,
which beats and sings out song that'll never fall from the tongue.
It clicks shut, complete with lock and key.
And we are poor slaves joining hands with empty pockets
and shackled hearts.
The cost of freedom has increased,
which is why when we form our ring,
there's a low drum beating in the dark.
Call me cynical
Has anyone else noticed …….
All of a sudden
The price of flowers and chocolates
Rockets skywards high towards heaven
Oh silly me its nearly Valentines Day!
12th February 2015
You look back and dream of days long gone
You can feel the tears as they're coming on
Just realizing how much you lost
It's no way to estimate the cost
Once you walked with purpose and your will was strong
Wouldn't back down now somehow it all seems wrong
Never found out how the dice were tossed
Just count the chips and estimate the cost
Oh the price was more than you thought it would be
You just turned your back so you wouldn't see
There were limits set but those lines you crossed
Never took the time to estimate the cost
Now time is closing down that open road
Memories become such a heavy load
Autumn years will bring an early frost
Too late to sit and estimate the cost
Now you're just a few steps ahead of the hell you made
It wasn't supposed to be how the game was played
Total disregard, oh how the rules were tossed
Now the time has come to estimate the cost.
Flight of stillness;
idle,
ditch-wise.
Ladders point up
but they say the ground is greater;
sunlight knitting to their brown feet green socks.
They crestfall and
buckle at the knee.
Hear guts clap thunder off somewhere else
but no storm in sight to maitre d' this mesa;
got to rot the mud lest
an urge to ripen ripens.
But hear now
the locusts flood this rut,
hunt for want,
impelled to eat each lunch of your decay.
Earth uncorks her pores.
you drift upon the grass, lift the damp from the sod
like a pillow of cloud sopping Earth's steam-
to be made the steward of this land;
lightning
flash! ladders
shatter!
Pay in full the cost of water,
less labors not yet lost.
Cancer's Cost
Cancer may ravage whole body parts
but it can never conquer resolute hearts.
Battered and bruised by aggressive procedures
we may hardly recognize our distinguishing features.
Remember this my friend, all hope is not lost
You can fight this evil enemy, but there is a cost.
The price is determination, a strong will to keep living
you have so much goodness left inside to keep giving.
Remember this my friend,
We are more than the sum of our human body parts
Cancer cannot kill the eternal love dwelling in our hearts!

Innocence lost, does not out weigh ignorance cost.
~~KAIROS~~
A rainy eve, soft tires pass us on the street.
June, you, the spring of my heart and my loins.
You, my eternal bliss with cascades of love in
just one kiss.
How Aphrodite caught us both in soulful bliss!
Standing in the rain on Polk Street.
We even stood in bare feet!
Forever afloat in love's sweetest boat.
My head on your soft, loving coat.
Why are you always intensely here?
Because you are my fate, so dear.
I try so hard in words to capture,
My love for you, who is my rapture.
Do all lovers feel this lost?
To love and never count the cost!

COST NOTHING TO DO THE CARE TO LOVE IS FREE---
It cost nothing to say ”how are you”;
It cost nothing to say that I care;
It cost nothing to pray for your fellow man
Will you won’t you just care…
Cost nothing
Cost nothing to do it, cost nothing to do it, nothing to do it;
It cost nothing to love unconditionally and
How are you as I say I care?
As I pray for you and yours
Cost me nothing to see you’re well cared for..
Cost me nothing you see
It’s all part of being in God’s holy family;
The cost of the dealt already paid for on the cross;
My choice to repent you see Jesus has already paid, paid for it;
So now my redemption is freed;
My salvation is free;
Christ has paid the price, paid up the cost for me;
It cost nothing to say “how are you”
And it cost nothing to say I love you
And it cost nothing to say I care so for you;
And that I am here
For you see God’s love is and mine is not for sale
The love we have is free
You see God’s love is free

Drops of precious blood
Out from great Deity’s love*
Shed on Calvary’s tree…
Absolutely the only ransom-payment
For every sin-guilty hostage
To gain triumphant liberty
From death, transgressions’ wages.
*Ephesians2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us...
