HEAR THOSE BELLS (Etheree and Tanka combined)

hear?
those bells
wedding bells
one plus one two
it is a magic time
when promises are made
a lifetime commitment two
at the time so easy to do
but there will surely be many trials
two souls in a give-and-take arrangement

many couples fail
fail to give each other space
space to know themselves
and those who weather the storms
owe thanks to god’s bright angel’s

Premium Member A Century To the Soup Combined

Eddie currents confused the conduits in this mind
How can the transformers in the brain go not blind
Confusing is the light, direct me as it's straight shined
Hundreds of emotions imprisoned and confined
Thoughts going back to teenage years deeply pined
Worrying about the love effects totally enshrined
Consider this cancer, your thoughts are far too kind
This melon has been carved deep, right to the rind
Missing all that I've lost, forever rightly defined
Penned for the world to read like riding bare on equine
A century, now I've given the soup all I have mined
Mentored by Sotto, DT, Mo, Anaya, and P. Hind
Mused by Constance, Brandy, Sunshine, Anna, I've refined
Influenced by Gershon, Paula, and Dilly, like whine
Holding fast to FJ, Charles, Eve & Deb my heart relined
My love for you all wide openly is to remind

Combined We Be

You're a mad rapper
I'm a mad hatter
Ideas in my head always bleeding
So lyrics you won't be needing
You spit them
I write them
You rap them
I rhyme them
Lines we be exchanging
Like I'd be interchanging
The lanes fast on the freeway
Paving the roads leading away
From the ghetto
Like Pinocchio was to Geppetto
We be each others woodwork
Combined we be the spork
Together in our minds
Like buns on girls behinds
We ain't getting lost
Whatever the cost
We'll stay in the light
Never fly stay and fight
Cause we be the illest
Cough Cough we infect the rest
Wanting to be part of the fuss
They try and copy 'r' us
But they will never ever
Be as swift or as clever...

Just Like You Wanted Combined Haiku

Just Like You Wanted Combined Haiku

What could Haiku be?
Example of you and me
Things we are thinking.

Blessing in disguise
Even a word to the wise
They would love to read.

Haiku has become
True light and inspiration
Motivate us all.

Haiku was to me
A way to help others out
Trying to write poems.

Can combine haiku
To make poems become simple
Was what you wanted.

A Combined Poem

A Combined Poem

If I am limited to ten poems a day
I'm sure there must be a way
To write all my poems until done
And will combine them all into one.

Poems are perfect not wanting to waste
With a new one each day I am faced
To write which are so very pleasing
As volume and velocity are increasing.

My poem amount has become huge
And hope to remove all the subterfuge
Which on occasion is worth repeating
So successfully obstacles can be meeting.

Each morning to wrote poems cannot wait
There is no doubt they will become great
And vital as part of a poetry recital
Poet Laureate some day will be my title.

Can Always Trust

People at Poetry Soup can always trust
To do there is something that I must
Send all my poems in emails to you
So can read them through and through.

There is a quadrain and a quatrain
And iambic hexameter which should remain
Central subject in my poetic philosophy
Affecting all of the verbage and its viscosity.

What I am saying is smoothly flowing
And a great temptation now is growing
From time I had first gotten out of bed
After morning prayer to God I just said.

I'm like a lover of the Lord who was led
By all of God's food I was recently fed
Which would be things making me willing
To write poems and purpose be fulfilling.

For Themselves Did Create

Were friends but still often fought
A lot and often could get caught
When all our dander up was raising
Then ended up applauding and praising.

To a movie show we started to go
Not knowing what on us would bestow
Stories about people being belligerent
And always fighting wherever they went.

Believe all of this wanted to refuse
That Tolkien anyone would abuse
And maybe someone like you and me
Will never hurt or have harmed a flew.

But still we watched battles going on
After that someplace then had gone
Which is reason I seem to understand
Why they ended up creating a Disneyland.

Horn Scratch Trump Off My List Combined Haiku

Scratch Trump Off My List

Trump's home has become
A catacomb, while on his
Head wears an orange dome.

Trump thinks that he is
Such a sweet thing, and to tears
All of us does bring.

Difficult to deal
With and all of his appeal
Not really for real.

Trump was born with low
Intelligence level and
By wife was told so.

Over himself he
Cannot get and then also
For neither can we.

In newspaper read
Would you believe found world dead
By Trump were all bled.

While in a brothel
Did decide to write a novel
"Around me world revolves."

Trump will never miss
Has always been humorless
Scratch him off my list.

*** IMAGINING (a Devotion Series Poem) ***

My beloved, do you see my eyes
Approaching near to sweet tears
Whenever your intimate touch
Comes — as you brush my hair
or reassuringly pat me twice —
Before
proceding with the tasks at hand,
Leaving me to sit
     here, mere steps away?
And, constantly

I begin to imagine
You standing apart from the hour
And purposefully, resolutely

You pass through the room

Into my vision
    Of you returning
Through dimensions
To receive my longing…

Always
Stopping for an instant, a step away,
    sensing the impetus
         of our decades of love.

You go on to slide between me
and all the glaring lights —-
In slow motion —-
You incline toward me…

To fall over me…

Thus in my imagining, nearly
Every time when I see you
Away in your being
in the somewhere else of sleep,
I will imagine you nearing…

 For that gentle touch
Through the walls aound my heart —

Even to the thought of us lying abreast,
Held in our combined warmth
As the rythm of our heartbeats pulse
     — the one aside the other —

Tranquil

Poets Combined

If I were to write of all the poets combined,
these are the results that I would find.
A little love, a little pain,
a bit of sunshine, a bit of rain.
A man of the past, a man of tomorrow.
A man of anger, a man of sorrow.
A bit of summer, a bit of spring.
A bit of our life's to us they bring.
A bit of white in winter snow,
or fall colors all aglow.
Of dogs, cats, sheep and goats,
everything in life that fills our hopes.
Of oceans deep, mysteries unknown.
The sweetest of music and its tone.
The things we hear, we see, we say.
The distant worlds so far away.
The poets write what they feel.
some is fantasy, some is real.
When all the poets are combined,
it is essential that we must find,
a meaning more explicit then just the pen.
It is the wisdom and knowledge,
of all men.

Forces Found Collected and Combined and More

Forces Found Collected and Combined

Forces were found collected and combined;
Either would go with or had been left behind;
Could consider,
Some a quitter;
They also had an option to be reassigned.

Plant Seeds of Sin

There are those who  God always leads;
On earth sin and then plant their seeds,
Were bitter,
And a quitter;
What we will end up with are wild weeds.

When we went on the expedition,
There was too much competition,
Animals all gone,
To dusk from dawn,
And also, not enough ammunition.

Love Combined

the love that you have given to me
opened my eyes and let me see,
the world is such a wondrous place
it is full of goodness and holy grace,
we share each day in perfect tune
under the sun and under the moon,
you tend to every need and want
never one to tease or to flaunt,
make my days a heaven on earth
giving me more than I am worth,
our love will only strengthen each day
as we grow older and turn all grey,
and our earthly lives are combined
                                      our heavenly souls become entwined.

Eternally Combined Continued

27 Then one day she was running, she saw something beautiful.
28 She smiled walking towards him and asked how and why, as if dutiful.
29 He was different, she was different,
30 They both knew, between them was a current,
31 Something that would never work out, never last.
32 They felt tension, secrets, someone’s past.
33 They could not hold back, she told her secret, as did he.
34 They opened up as if they had each others key.
35 She was astonished, something she could never have guessed.
36 A vampire. At first she thought it was all a test.
37 But she knew it be true, their confession
38 Out in the open, they were now each others possession.
39 She wanted something, something that made him ask why.
40 She wanted to be like him. Why? She could not clarify.
41 Maybe it was his long black hair or his cold pale lips.
42 No, forever, always joined at the hip.
43 Though she got her wish, this wasn’t it.
44 She was Beautiful, pale and cold, as when he bit,
45 But she was only half. A Hybrid forever.
46 But this is better than never.
47 They lived forever, eternally combined,
48 And when they past a human, they were always kind.
49 So if she had something to confess,
50 She could always cry in his chest.
51 And if there is something to fill, one last piece,
52 Their love will always be there and never cease.

Horn Combined Not Maligned Haiku

Horn Combined Not Maligned Haiku

Cat is not a pain
Over house has a free rein
Which is domain.

I did discover,
To interrupt is corrupt;
Always done abrupt.

Is agitator
Also manipulator;
Even a traitor.

Between is schism;
Nationalist populism;
Read in catechism.

Was on Morning show this
morning but kind of re-written
by me.

Liked living at lodge;
Message having a collage;
Painful things did dodge.

Must go to college
So I can obtain knowledge;
Apparently, Trump forgot to do.

My clothes are involved;
Seasonal strictly revolved;
My problem was solved.

Have you ever had
A wife who keeps complaining;
Your will wear same clothes.
(This secret thought I should
expose.)

All Contests Combined Into 1 and God 2

2020

A collective collaboration

From 4th floor Peyton

3 step pyramid place

Be that free will or destiny child

Clutching at straws

Inside my own private universe

For a better tomorrow

Seeking answers to what exactly
is my relationship with God

I must contest

Beauty and Passion Combined

Echoes cry in the distance with adoration,
as my skin lays breathless touching yours-
You bring me a longing romantic sensation,
oh God, I’m so grateful for your creation.

We break bread; feed each other affection,
my beloved, your scent lingers on and on-
We have this bond, a miraculous connection,
our love has been divine since its conception.

Bring me your lungs so I may inhale your devotion,
shower me with the light you so sincerely give-
I shall carry to you only my warmhearted emotion-
let us ignore all the madness, the commotion.

(So, I took his hand in mine, now we are entwined-
vows sworn with trust…beauty and passion combined.)
