Premium Member Unbroken Chain of Love

Was there ever a time she doubted my love?
As a child, did I let her know how much her acts of kindness meant?
No one will ever love me as she did.
Decades have passed, but my heart still yearns for her touch.
Ageless is the affection for the mother who lives in my heart.

In duo with the flash of paparazzi’s capturing film
Buoying up the breeze as it dances and toasts its grace
When rain and sunshine smack on a rainbow beam
Blissful days of October, in wide open arms…embrace

Buoying up the breeze as it dances, toasts its grace
Petal-litters bounce and float on air in tranquil glade
Blissful days of October, in wide open arms…embrace
As green grasses bud out from densely colored bed

No Chain, No Charm

In Unison-
~No Chain, No Charm~

United we own
Firm, full of finest goodies-
Our ground of freedom.

United we stand
Firm from failure and horror-
On the ground of strength.

United we pray
Faithfully with open mind-
Our bliss is assured.

Rattle the Chain

Ta'likra
was a most stubborn slave
He loved to rattle the chain
It was a sound of pure defiance
that echoed across the lush plantation terrain

Son of Antuk
had a pygmy burning bush spirit
He seethed silently
as the lashes dug deep into his back
The masters hoped the other slaves
would see this bloody spectacle and fear it,
thwarting any thoughts of a rebellious attack

He was beloved by the other slaves,
he had a will of burnished steel
He had a big heart, noble and brave,
his presence strengthened the weak and the ill

The European rulers had a troublesome dilemma:
If they killed Ta'likra, they would make him a martyr;
causing him to live still past his death,
stirring up angry African chants of unrest
And if they let him live,
he would continue to challenge their authority
Thus making it harder to rule over
the other slaves with complete fear and impunity

They struck a balance as to what they would do,
they would whip him daily, give him meager rations
Eventually break his spirit down to ashes
But that didn't work against this
four-foot-two mountain of a man

He was Pygmy,
he was a dark bush man
He was pure African,
borne upon the hot desert sand
He didn't fear death,
he didn't fear pain
Thrice bitten by the deadly viper,
he loved to rattle the chain

The masters, unable to break his spirit,
were perplexed and at wits end
When a wizened one with gnarled raised hand,
offered up a most enlightened plan
This old, white medicine man
appealed to Ta'likra in a peach grove
He said, where would the souls of the ancestors go,
if the tree of life isn't allowed to flourish and grow
The tender buds of the future will wither away,
and the great roots of your ancestors will die here today
Let us gather up the ancient leaves, my warrior friend,
and build a fire of peace
Let us pay homage to the holy ancient ones
with gifts of love and largesse
For as the stars will not always remain in the sky to stay,
the chains of slavery will be removed from your people one day

Ta'likra, the Pygmy prince,
peered into the blue eyes of the old man,
and thought deep on his sage sayings
Then he arose in dignified grace
and silently walked away
He never once rattled his chain again,
he kept his untamed rage locked in the cage within

The Clanking Chain of Wild Geese

The Clanking Chain of Wild Geese

I was watching the September sky every day,
With a hope to once again get a glance,
Of the clanking chains of those lovely wild geese,
That suddenly appears with their music melodies,
But quietly they disappear every year,
Like a Rainbow that comes and gets lost gradually.

No one knows when like a rainbow,
The wild geese would appear suddenly,
While changing their forms like clouds in the sky,
Mesmerizing our eyes for few seconds or more, and then,
Disappearing in the sky, like the dim vanishing evening.

The wild geese often appear in the sky,
Forming a shape like the garland of God,
And quickly changing shapes, like our emotions,
While moving in the sky like an arrow,
They sing the joyous songs of today, not tomorrow.

Forgetting the past and the future like an arrow,
Which keeps running, until it reaches its marrow,
The destination to pierce a heart,
They create either a joy or sorrow,
While singing a song of today, not tomorrow.

Oh, September sky I watch,wonder with ,
And hope to see them once again,
My childhood friends wild Geese,
Coming from north and vanishing in south,
Like my thoughts which arise and fall.

But this year, I did not see the winged necklaces of God,
Neither could I see a rainbow being formed,
Nor even hear their chorus like songs,
No clanking of wings, No music of their joys,
No rise and fall of images like thoughts,
No sounds and music touching my heart.

One day, I was stunned to hear,
The species of goose are in great danger,
Man has stolen many of even God’s necklaces,
The rainbow of birds and the grandeur of sky,
A great heritage of Nature is vanishing before our eyes.

Oh, my sweet friend,
Will I ever be able to see and hear you again?
When you would clank your wings, in the windless sky,
Creating a dance and music, on such lofty heights,
Where no musician can ever fly,
With a hope till I am here on this earth my friend,
I would keep waiting and watching
For you O wild Geese in the September sky.

Moving Up the Food Chain

We were vegan
with a brain smaller
than a peanut
and then we started eating
meat
fish
our brain got larger
we became higher primates
moving up the food chain
larger brain
smarter men
bigger hearts
higher blood pressure
and now
we moved back
to green
forget the red meat
back
to the trees
and to grass fields
became vegan again
up and down
the food chain
hopefully the brain
stays the same...

quiet silence
the continuation

gaging howling winds

a corrupted mind
kills with passionate pleasure
what virtue remains

quiet silence
the continuation
death resides below

await the reaper
dark—black chilling specter
ghoul in residence

awake—blood freezes
nightmares for the young and old
dawn draws the bright sun

tomorrow we will
paint another painting
less the color red

Share it with someone

Can you do me a favor please?
When you meet a stranger tomorrow
Would you be so kind as to share your smile?

Daisy Chain

Each generation
is the next link in the chain
But our ancestral past
won’t let the future children
of posterity go, to run free
Adam and Eve put the first breach
in the human chain
Caused us to start building fences,
made neighbors divide themselves
Your little white girl
wandered into my yard the other day
Bless her little heart,
she started picking some daisy flowers
My little black girl saw her,
and came outside to play with her neighbor
Innocent fun had by everyone
Your little girl put a daisy flower
in my little girl’s hair
Said they were both at a wedding,
and started holding hands and dancing
A tear of joy came from my eye,
as I thought about how, as neighbors,
you and I don’t speak much
We’re the ones so out of touch
I now realize a daisy chain is a soul connection
Letting go of past animosities
will break the chain of distrust caused by sin ...
will mend the fences of brotherly love again

Premium Member Chain of Death

The chain of death,
Is growing, link by link, with each passing moment
As the souls of the departed in Turkey and Syria
Rush upwards to the heavens
In search of peace and tranquility
After the abominable experience
Of being buried alive for days
Under the rubble of hypocrisy, and indifference
Of those who constructed unfit housing, just for profit,
But
At the same time, the souls exalt all rescuers who came to help,
From so many countries,
Risking, on many occasions, their own lives to save the victims of
The 7.8 earthquakes on the Richter scale,
Proving that it is not only Love that unites the peoples
Of the world, but also, uttermost pain!

-

The powerful earthquakes of 7.8 on the Richter scale that shook Turkey and Syria on Monday have caused the death of more than 22,000 people up to now. There is fear that the number of victims will double or even triple when the final count takes place. Let us pray, and do whatever we can to help those left behind: The injured, the homeless, and the hungry. Blessings.

Unloosening the Chain of Anger

Have you ever done something bad,
That really hurt someone you love,
Or has someone ever done something bad,
That really hurt you,
And no matter how much you or they apologize,
The pain just doesn’t seem to go anywhere?
Do you find yourself holding on,
To a pain that in your heart, is inexcusable?
And even though the offender has promised,
To make things better and prove their worth,
You know deep down,
You’re not over the pain that was caused?
Think of it this way.
If you are still holding onto anger, bitterness, resentment,
Any kind of negativity….
You’re NOT showing that you want to heal,
You’re showing that the person who did harm unto you….
Has CONTROL over your emotions….
You’re showing that you would rather live in the past,
Than in the present….
You’re showing that by holding onto anger and hatred….
You are hurting someone, and it’s NOT the offender….
It’s YOURSELF!
And every time you have a talk,
Bringing up the pain that has settled in your heart,
You’re not hurting anyone but yourself.
The longer you walk around with it in your heart,
The more you’re hurting yourself.
The more you speak of the anger, the bitterness, the resentment….
The more you’re hurting yourself.
Ask yourself this….
What if GOD held anger in His heart,
For the things we have done wrong?
What if He spoke about how angry He is?
What if He spoke about how even though He forgave us….
He would STILL throw our wrongdoings in our faces daily?
What we, as children of God, have to remember….
Is that He takes ALL, not some, ALL of our iniquities,
All of our wrongdoings, all of our mistakes, ALL of our dirty deeds,
Places them under His holy foot, and casts them into the sea of forgetfulness!
It’s in His word, that He WILL forgive us our trespasses….
So, if God can take our wrongdoings, forgive us, and toss them away,
WHY CAN’T WE DO THE SAME?
We can’t call ourselves loving the Lord, but hold onto anger.
You can’t be an angry Christian.
You can’t be holy, and be filled with hatred.
If God can forgive us, and not throw what we’ve done in our faces,
Then we should be able to do the same for one another….

“He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.” (Micah 7: 19)

Premium Member Anchor Chain

Each one I meet becomes a link in this chain,
Interlocking burdens becoming nothing but pain,
Wrapped tightly; interwoven emotions weighing
heavier and heavier, my brain.

Metallic feelings shine, glisten in the light; chain links reflect to the sky while I struggle in this sea,

no one is searching, no search and rescue…
for me.

The weight of all, pulling me down under,
the chains growing with each struggle.
Sinking below the surface, gasping for air;
Why!? Why must none of them care?

Just pull and pull, these burdens on my soul;
Pinching my body, the pain so striking; waves
Crashing into me, pushing me under again.

World is unfair, people always despair, each wave;
they topple over another; thinking
Their burdens are worse than the others.

The chain continues to grow, the links proliferate,
The weight unbearable and so, I just sink.
The waves over head, but down below is peace.

Premium Member Where's the Bottom

There is a bottom that is past what we thought we knew.
The sub-floors are there for false safety and reason, too.
When we get to the dirt under all the lies
and find the reasons we want to stay alive,
we are prepared to give it up and live instead of die.
The dirt we find on the floor of our bottom
is where the desires reside that have become our problem.
We made the bed and messed it up.
We tended to avert and try to give up.
Until we see the dirt below
we won't be able to reach up and let all else go.
To be on this side of the dirt and thankful for every day
is an amazing feeling knowing we are going to be okay.
God puts an exit at every choice we make.
A cross-roads of decisions that rock us like an earthquake.
When we finally see our lives are unmanageable...
that we can't do this on our own...
give it to Him and watch the change unfold.
Those chains that held us down
are now the essence of our God-given crown.
He melted, molded, and cleaned it all up.
He placed it upon our heads to show us our inheritance.
We will grow, live, love, and hurt.
All of this and we will, one day, become as the dirt.
No more pain,
no more suffering,
no more confusion,
because it'll be time for us to get to extend our wings.
