Best Campaigning Poems
While campaigning among South American civilians
he got news of the death of three Brazilians
He said he was vexed
then he asked quite perplexed
just how many is a brazillion?

Green spray paint splattering is all I see on the wall
It’s not art that I see, it’s vandalism! they scream to all
They can’t or they won’t let themselves imagine what truly is presage
Beautiful and unique and of greater importance, graffiti with a message
Sprayed on the concrete walls, is the vibrant green verdant artwork
Campaigning for humanity and natures creatures,
unshrouding harsh realities covered in murk
Mural’s paint disheveled meanders along itselfs esteem
Yet reliant dearly on a lifeless tree standing dormant unseen
You see it looks sadly leafless, branches dry and its greenery gone
A passerby felt Banksy’s vision left an impression is clear, strong
"d e s t r o y i n g the f o r e s t s, d e s t r o y i n g the g r e e n e r y"
And I feel certain that her words bare truth, it’s in the scenery

In streets of solitude...
A societal ghost ambles through
A bustling concrete jungle unnoticed.
A lost soul with sartorial handicap,
Carrying life inside his overstuffed backpack.
His face is weather-beaten;
Reflecting wasted years,
Loneliness and pain.
His hungry, pleading eyes
Dart from one passerby to the next.
No one cares enough to approach,
To find out his name. It's Jack.
A few stop by to toss pennies
Into his Styrofoam cup.
No one sticks around to talk to him.
His stomach often grumbles
With hunger;
The world blind to his plight.
He wants more than a friendly wave
At those waiting out a stop light
Half of those don't even look in Jack's direction
Because of pride, he doesn't
Knock at car windows and ask...
"Can you kindly spare a dollar?"
A forgotten citizen left to fend for himself.
He might as well be locked away
In prison; out of sight, out of mind.
Who searches, cries, and prays for this lost soul?
America unwilling
To bring this outsider in from the cold.
She looks past him like cellophane.
Campaigning politicians release
A laundry list of plans that don't include
Helping him to rise above his dismal circumstances.
None of their promises include
Sheltering this poor folk roaming about
Like a stray dog, living under a bridge
And sleeping in a makeshift tent.
Sadly, it will always be this way
In streets of solitude.

Free verse
I don’t look black; I don’t look white;
ain’t that strange how DNA lies?
I am a mixed woman raised by two families;
two different worlds with two different realities.
Like tug-o-war, I’m the rope in the middle
and my arms are hurting, everybody please let go.
To the sidelines, I linger, and watch the chaos unfold.
Where do I stand in this endless battle?
I want to help; I want racism to end too.
Black lives matter, that couldn’t be more true,
and while I may not face the same level of racism as my brothers,
it hurts me, too.
But I don’t want to protest;
I don’t want more violence;
I don’t want another bloody civil war to be our history.
I can’t watch family die—not on either side,
but with the way things are now,
everyone is getting hurt around me.
I will always fight for all the black lives
for it’s in my blood and it’s part of my identity.
But half is still half; it’s not all who I am;
I cannot be divided in these hateful times.
Why can’t I be seen for who I am?
Black lives matter—what about mine?
How can I fit in with all of this campaigning
when I don’t even have a true identity?
This generation has created more diversity
yet it’s still all black and white on legalities.
I want my children to feel like they fit in
and not ever have to worry if this country even acknowledges them.
We represent the new America;
I must fight for what this country could become:
A harmonious blend of privilege and color;
One community with shared comforts.
I want equality among all diversity;
I want all of us to feel like a valued part of society.
So whether you’re black, native, or biracial,
mixed with white, Asian, or Latino,
as people of color, we must stand together.
We fight for the same cause;
let’s not be white-washed;
and be seen and told that our lives matter.

I hate society, I hate society
I hate society for a lot of REASON
Am in a society where society has no VISION
They only have a trend and if you don’t follow that trend
Then You Are MISSING
And it’s a CONTRADICTION
I hate society but this same society I am LIVING
So when ever am around people in the society I don’t feel like BREATHING
Cus when I do, I will probably have all the trash in me due to the process of INHALING
I know by now you want to ask
What is this trash that society has?
But before I continue
Let me define society
“It is the aggregate of people living together in a more or less ordered COMMUNITY”
Which one may say, society is suppose to bring about UNITY
But what do we see?
Society looking down on TEENAGE PARENTS and SCHOOL DROPOUTS
This same society campaigning and preaching against Abortion
Voicing out loud, ABORTION KILLS!!!!!
What if that teenage girl took some ABORTION PILLS?
Will society get the chance to criticize her for her mistake?
NO!
Am not saying that abortion is good but society aint acting cool
Now back to the school dropout
Have you ever bothered to ask that young boy what drop him out of SCHOOL?
NO!
But why do you jump into conclusion by calling him a FOOL
What if that boy did what you did as a kid but never got caught?
Society is throwing dust into our eyes but expecting us to see CLEAR
We all have DREAMS,VISION and INTUITION
But we can get to our target due to society LIMITATION
And they say!
You are no body if you don’t complete a higher INSTITUTION
Society puts you on a Mission but don’t care about your FINISH
Society is the blame but the people is the majority of it
Where adults are COLD so the kids cant be BOLD
They mask their words so the truth is UNTOLD
I think society is the reason our forefathers got SOLD
But lets put that aside
Why can’t someone be different?
Why can’t someone be themselves without been mocked at or look down on
Society is a MASKBALL
Society is a Maskball, where we hide our real character and reveals it by hiding
But all I came to tell you is
Don’t let society be on your WAY
But rather be on society’s WAY
Cus’ after all it doesn’t depend on society
It depends on YOU
But until then, I HATE SOCIETY!!!!

Campaigning must be very laborious
For democrat Hilary Clintorious
Folks say she’ll oust Donald Trump
Enthroned when taking a dump
These nasty rumours are so darn spurious!
May God Bless America - she sure needs all the help she can get!
Thanks to Duke Beaufort for letting me use his line 'Hillary Clintorious'

“Election Day”
by: Eric L. Boddie
By plane, train, bus, car or boat
I’ll travel the Earth to win your vote
I can’t say when I’ll finish, but I know when I’ll start
From this day forward, I’ll be campaigning for your heart
If elected, I’ll serve you well to the best of my ability
I’ll deliver your heart to a state of tranquility
There will be no new taxes on your emotions and things there of
I’ll do everything within my power to erase your deficit of love
I don’t have a foreign policy, you are my only concern
Home always comes first, that’s what the other candidates must learn
And in the event of war, you are mine to defend
For your honor I will fight until the very end
Healthcare will be provided, and your economy is sure to flourish
I’ll work my fingers to the bone to ensure that you are well nourished
Your soul will be educated through love, respect and dedication
I’ll declare everyday a holiday for you to show my appreciation
So when Election Day comes, just who will you choose
I’m the best man for your heart, with me, you can’t lose

hunger strike ends with the
cat and mouse ploy

Scapegrace to magistrate
ending in joy
1 / 28 / 2021.
During the 1913 Epsom Derby, Emily Davison threw herself under King George V horse
Anmer. Dying from her injuries 4 days later.
Leonora Cohen in 1913 vandalised a display case containing the Crown Jewels in the
Tower of London. Defending herself, she was released on a technicality. After another act
of vandalism, she went on hunger strike while in prison, but was released early. This was
due to Lord Asquith's cat and mouse act. Giving prisoners time to recover, preventing
needless deaths while incarcerated. Leonora was trampled on by a mounted police horse,
during one protest march. She died aged 105 , serving as magistrate for 25
years and receiving the O.B.E. incidently she was born in the city of Leeds, where I too was
born and bred.

"Respect Your President" is a children's song, sung to the tune of "The Farmer in the
Dell".
Respect your president,
Respect your president.
He's the leader of your country-
And that's quite an accomplishment!
Bonus activity: Explain to children that, should they ever meet the president, they
should respectfully address him as Mr. President. Teach children some of the
important duties our president has-commanding the armed forces, urging Congress
to pass laws and being a role model for the people. Explain that it takes months
(even years) of campaigning followed with a vote by the electoral college to get
elected to the presidency.
Note: Although this bonus activity refers to the Presidency of the United States of
America, it can be easily adapted for other countries. What responsibilities does
your president have?

The Media Presentation
By Franklin Price
10/13/2016
The media presentation of the Clinton and the Trump
Has her as Wonder Woman and he as Forest Gump
Campaigning mostly negative, Republican and Democrat
Media often taking sides when going to the mat
Trump, for sure, takes most the hits, for media the truth
Is spun with parts omitted to affect the voting booth
Clinton's hit's are different, a Republican dirty ploy
To keep the rightful candidate from her presidential joy
Both treated women badly, Trump uncouth and Clinton Worse
Trump speaking without thinking, Clinton planned derogatory verse
The media presents the Donald as the thoughtless stupid one
As Hillary stood by her man; degrading women for his fun
Trump speaks everything he thinks, for the media never good.
Clinton with private servers did not disclose the things she should.
The FBI said she's okay, if another maybe not
The media went along with that; there's something rotten in the pot
Trump politically a novice, wants America great again
Didn't come from the establishment paid his on way to begin
Clinton's political experience for thirty years or more
Financed from rich most everywhere, to pay back when in the door
Hillary's presidential if you're rich and gave a bit
Or if you are establishment, vote Clinton, she is it.
Trump's not diplomatic and concerns me quite a lot
If Hillary's elected, we'll have more years of what we've got
In either case are checks and balances founding fathers to begin
Wrote in the Constitution to never let dictators win
Of course that means incumbents must do all they're supposed to do
Do we think we can expect that from the establishment we view?

November Eighth Election Day
By Franklin Price
11/8/2016
November eighth election day
The end is finally here
To the dirtiest campaigning
Ever run for most the year
Both parties were ferocious
In pursuing president
If they could go a darker place
That's exactly where they went
No subject was verbotten
Whether truth or outright lie
I was so much shocked and awed
Should I laugh or should I cry?
Those days are now behind us
The polls will open soon
With voters waiting at the door
To cast the liar or buffoon
Hate to have to say it
But that is what they are
After you have cast your vote
I'll meet you at the bar
We'll drink the voting day away
We will have done our civil right
Voted who we thought was best
Now we'll drink into the night
Watching TV's first returns
And the exit polling views
Broadcasting and predicting
We may believe it if choose
It is not over 'til it's over
'Til the final vote is cast
Don't let the pundits keep you home
Go 'til the polls are closed at last
No matter who the winner is
The liar or buffoon
We voted, did our duty
The end results apparent soon
When the winner takes the office
And becomes our president
It will soon become quite evident
If our vote was rightly spent

But I was too far from time remaining
Soon the train would be waiting
With time would be debating
Upon a cork that should be campaigning

i dreamt a dream the other night
where up was down and left was right
fox news was gone all anti Bush
Obama now there latest crush
Bill O Reilly was campaigning
to free Bradley Manning
Shepard Smith announced
he was no longer fake tanning
reports were coming thick and fast
revelations revealing Grechens exotic past
the truth exposed re. Bret Baier
totally bald thats spray on hair
unfair and unbalanced was now the logo
Megan Kelly quit and now dancing gogo
Murdoch declared he was terminly ill
Bill Hemmer broke the story of the old mans will
every cent to charity
that im afraid was too much for me
i awoke confused and in a sweat
in a panic turned on my tv set
oh thank God sanity restored
O Reilly was on declaring Manning a coward
turns out Grechens past was squeaky clean
Obamas policys are all obscene
love in with George W scheduled for 8 o clock
but poor Megans still dancing around the clock.

The sharp suited man
With the Legal Degree
Looks back over years
To pass judgement on me.
While he was getting drunk
In student Uni bars
I was uniformed and fighting
Our country’s various wars.
The greatest impulse
Is the will to survive
To stay in one piece
To get out still alive
If you've not been there
You just can't understand
How fear and anger
Can get out of hand.
A split second’s action
In the heat of a fight
Is now being appraised
As being wrong or right.
Now we’ve both reached
Our late middle age,
Him on his thousands,
Me existing on minimum wage,
Plus the long service pension
They’ve been paying of late,
Not exactly bounteous millions
Reward for serving the state.
And he has his portfolio
Of cases, no win no fee,
And he is trying to make
A criminal of me.
In thanks for the security
For him and his ilk
That our actions earned,
Now he’s taken the Silk,
He puts our actions
Under the spotlights
As a campaigning lawyer in
The cause of Human rights.
I was a volunteer so I don’t
Expect or need his gratitude
Just maybe some compassion
To temper his attitude.
I scream in pain at the memory
Of things that I’ve done
While he waxes fat on
The fees that he’s won.
It’s a strange justice that
My efforts set him free
To harass and pursue
Combat veterans like me.
That sharp suited man
With the Legal Degree,
With the benefit of hindsight,
Passes judgement on me.
This is not about me, but the many Veterans who for years have lived under this threat. Nobody condones War Crimes, but we do ask for a level playing field and equality of treatment.
